I've only seen maybe 5 full games for either, but Zouma has impressed me more than Stones - not that Chelsea would be foolish for having both. This is likely Terry's final season and Cahill is quality, but not integral.

Stones has gone down in my estimations personally. Always thought he came across a well grounded young man until now. Handing a transfer request in with a week to go in the transfer window? Don't care about all the money, trophies arguments etc, football is a game of feeling. Or at least it was. Modern day football fans and players don't get it really. It's a business to them, not a sport. Shithouse from Stones really in my probably old fashoned and idealist opinion. And if he's seen his arse about some Everton fans giving him shit, good. He put his transfer request in on the day of the game, obviously hoping he'd be pulled out of the squad and ultimately sold. Credit to Everton. Although I'm sure they'd like to protect that side of things a bit more so that he keeps performing well for them.

FWIW, I think Stones will be the best English cnetre half since Ferdinand. His ability for me is not in question. The money and trophies will follow him.

this 'saga' has just highlighted the warped vision most people have of modern football. They just expect all clubs to be subservient to Chelsea, City, United and to a lesser extent, Arsenal and maybe Liverpool. It doesn't make sense to them that other clubs have their own motivations, want to build their own success, and can't comprehend clubs putting their ambitions ahead of a players wishes!

want to see the same old teams competing for the same trophies every year? If it wasn't for the quality of football on display from the likes of Barca and Bayern, I'd never watch the Champions League - it's like groundhog day every season.
