But you're right. These discussions are childish. The PL clubs are proud to have vast overseas "support" but it seems some english football fans are a bit "icky" about it. If you don't come from xyz city you "can't" support this club. Wouldn't say it's typical english (because in Germany we have these guys too)

btw: I am allowed to support HSV because I was born in Hamburg, lived there for 19years until I served my 2 years in the army and later studied in Lower Saxony. I am living in the "outskirts" of Hamburg but it's in Lower Saxony. Not that it is interesting for anyone here, just saying.

He's actually unbearable these days. Perhaps that's always been the case? I dunno... like, as much as he was a bit of a dick I always thought he was sort of playfully mischievous during his first stint at Stamford Bridge. He was completely awful by the time he returned though. It was weird because we won a league title and yet I didn't much enjoy his second tenure. The lack of grace, the humourlessness and the picking fights with anyone and everyone seemed like it was only going to really have a corrosive effect on the squad and was something the club could probably have done without.

I'd agree with that. I was genuinely looking forward to his return to Chelsea. Thought the league missed his character and his ability to wind up other managers. He also came across as a decent bloke despite all of it.

Now he's just a miserable, tiresome and bitter the whole time.

The few united fans i know (cos as you know there a scarce breed where i live) the majority like Jose. They don't like the antics but most of them don't care as long as performances are good and more importantly the results come in. It was the same with Fergie.

Under LVG we might win a few games but the performances were embarressing, under jose the performances are better. The team is undefeated since october, but such is the quality at the top were still in the same position, couple with the fact of too many draws.

I'm sure there are some who already want him out and are moaning, but all big clubs have them, the majority (for now) support jose, even if the top 4 doesn't come, most can see an improvement. I'm sure someone...will throw the fact we spent a fortune, and we have, but as city proved it takes time to turn that into a winning team. Jose will rightly get time. The league is far more competitive now than ever in my long lifetime, united fans, like liverpool fans did, need to get used to not winning all the time. Challenging is the goal. Most will be satisfied with that.
