Well they are only six points off the top and they are definitely on the rise at the moment. It's not like any of the clubs above them are showing the kind of dominance that would lead you to think they are the inevitable champions. I'd say they've got a chance but they'd be happy with 4th place.

They'd have to do some good business in January. They need a consistent goalscorer and a CB pairing that doesn't look likely to shit the bed at any given moment. They wont get that in January though. Securing top 4 and buying Aubameyang in the summer should be the way to go .

The CB's have looked a lot more comfortable since Klopp has come in. Yes they still make errors at times, but generally they look better. Perhaps in the summer Klopp may look to get in another CB, but I think they have shown they'll do for this season whether it be Skrtel, Lovren or Sakho (and leave Kolo for when the game is won).

Topping the pile will be a bit of a stretch but i can see a credible 3rd place as a possible target. They could have done with pushing Lovren in to the home dressing room tonight and then putting a chair under the handle before making a getaway. Henderson coming back is a big plus for them. Sturridge got goals tonight but is sure to be on the treatment table anytime soon. Origi needs to prove that tonight was not a flash in the pan.

Nah. But that 4th spot is definitely achievable, especially if we can sort out our form and hunger in home games.

Yeah but Lovren is an accident waiting to happen. You don't win the league with someone like him playing 30+ games, he will cost you points.

Under Rodgers I'd agree with that, but Klopp has told him no funny stepover business, just boot it out and with the better cover in front of him as well he is looking a lot more assured. I'm not going to say he will be amazing every game, but he's certainly looking a lot more assured these days.

Title is a very long shot. But we definitely should be challenging for 4th place. Get Gundogan, Hummels, Reus etc then we can talk about title challenge :D
Having said that, we will probably end up with Subotic.

Will be interesting to see if his style translates over the xmas period or if Liverpool will have an injury problem like the other sides who play evert 3 days.

yeah but you can rest your top players, or have they all just been injured?
Well if you are good enough, you can rest your top players. However, most of our top players have been injured.

If Liverpool will have an injury problem? I assume you've not looked at the team sheet Klopp has had to pick from for the majority of his games so far. There have been numerous injuries.

We've played the same number of games as Man City and both (including the Community Shield) Chelsea and Arsenal have this season, more than Spurs and only one less than Man Utd. You've also just posted this after we've played Thursday-Sunday-Wednesday when the only team above us who also played this midweek were City!

They're well and truly in the race. Analysing their first choice XI it's as good as anything else on offer with the exception of Citeh.

They've no real need to pay the inflated fees that the Jan window spurs up. Perhaps a central midfielder that gives you more guile than Lucas or Milner but can still provide the steeliness and defensive awareness that those two bring. I can't see them spending big on a striker. They invested heavily on Benteke and he's essentially back up to a fit Sturridge. Signing another striker (who won't be on the same level as Sturridge) would signify they think he's fucked.

They'll not be far off the title come the end of the season which is tragic for me as I bet we'd finish above em.

Some people on here really don't like it when Liverpool are predicted to do well, almost as if the possibility offends them.

Personally, I don't see us as being in the title race, despite only being 6 points off top spot. But I can see us finishing in the top 4.

Offends isn't the word, you see it's not the team and how they perform, it's the biased media ( we understand Asia laps it up and thus the Prem get more money in) one week it's sell the team the next it's out year. You have posters like yourself who still think it's 1970 and your a huge club who should be fighting for the title every year........it's very amusing if not repetitively mundane to watch.

Think annual turkey shoot.

It all depends how long the honeymoon period lasts. A couple of months, top 6 is possible. Keep it up for a little longer then who knows how far they can go.

Though I'd be worried, Abertawe and his football knowledge/predictions are always wrong...that's the most worrying part if you're a Liverpool fan.

Top 6 is almost nailed on. Outside of last seasons top 4, only Spurs have the chance to finish above us if you ask me. Like I've already said, I don't believe Leicester's fantastic start will continue throughout the campaign.

The battle for 4th place is between Liverpool, Spurs and possibly Everton.

Everton won't finish higher than 7th. Liverpool and Spurs are both better, and possibly Leicester too depending on how well they do in the new year.

See that simple sentence shows how deluded you are and fellow armchair reds are...........and why RAWK still exists.
