Perhaps this will signify the demise of MK, one can only hope.
Think his next job will be a championship one personally

Can't see who would take him, only perhaps Forest if they make a change bit other than that, nah.

Never liked Robinson or those hideous tight sweaters he wears, but he seems to have built up enough of a media love in to get himself a job at a top end League One lower end Championship club. Not surprised he's gone either, underachieving with a squad that should be in the top 6.

As long as we don't end up with him after JED gets the inevitable boot :told:

Our fans seem to think Adkins, Evans and Robinson are real possibilities for us:fl:.

To be remotely sensible for a second, he was never given any backing from his board in terms of signing players - they pissed a lot up the wall on empty seats. Agard was an after thought in the summer. They wasted their place in the Championship last year as they didn't sign anyone, nor did they barely sign anyone this summer.

Agreed actually, you summed it up pretty well.

For what it is worth, Delli Ali was sold and the MK board didn't make a big effort it seemed to sign Will Grigg pernamently.

Surely a large chunk of the Ali money should've been thrown at signings to maybe add 3 or 4 better experienced Championship players, you must buy when you're strong or had a really good season.

I thought their signings last summer, probably wouldn't be good enough to keep them up.

Robinson thought about walking last summer, but stayed and it seems he has gone as far as he can go with this project.

There will be plenty of takers for him in the future.

Think Steve Cotterill would be a good appointment myself for MK.

A large chunk of the Dele money went on buying the land for a training ground (currently going through planning). Most of our fans know that. Some have chosen to forget it, mind.

As for Grigg, we couldn't match what Wigan offered without seriously screwing the salary cap. A year later we're undoubtedly paying Maynard and Agard more than Grigg wanted, but we're in a much stronger position financially now after a season of Championship TV money. Pete claimed yesterday that our playing staff budget is double what it was the season we went up. That makes it about £5M in my book, although a fair chunk of it went un-spent on deadline day as we failed to get three or four deals over the line.

Agree on experienced heads in the Champ. We went for one (Matt Upson) who barely lasted a couple of games. There were some gambles on a bit of continental flair from Spain and Dale Jennings! All failed miserably. We also went for loanees that weren't quite ready for the rigours of Championship football. Sam Gallagher was a year too soon, as seen by his current spell at Blackburn, Josh Murphy was very raw to begin with, but improved massively. Lessons learned...

Horrible smug , smarmy individual who has ran out of excuses.
He was on Radio 5 last night with Chappers basically listing excuses, low budget in the Championship, losing Alli , mentioned Grigg who was never an MK player anyway. Then bemoaning injuries and suspensions, thought all teams have those ?.
Over rated and now says he is going to go abroad to study foreign coaches and how they work, lets hope he stays there, vile character.

I reckon the queue outside of the chairman's office is as weary of any identification or publicity as that outside of any STD clinic!!

The word is wary, not weary.

Might be quite refreshing in a way though - and you can bet the MK Dons owner would love the publicity.

After his little trip to the States it seems Stevie G has a bit of a thing for franchises.

I don't want Gerrard unless he will have a very experienced assistant who could pretty much do the job for him.

"On Monday 5 January 2015, we had a proper game of English football. A third round FA Cup tie between AFC Wimbledon and Liverpool, held at their little ground at Kingsmeadow, in Norbiton, evoked memories of the 1988 final at Wembley. It was the year when, much to my horror as an eight year old, Wimbledon's Crazy Gang beat Liverpool 1-0. In the twenty-seven years since then, matching the span of my time at Liverpool, Wimbledon had been taken over, bought out and moved to Milton Keynes - where they were renamed and 'rebranded' as MK Dons. I understood and identified with the anger and solidarity of the old-school Wimbledon fans who refused to accept their changed identity. They started all over again as AFC Wimbledon. They had moved through the tiers of non-league football slowly and steadily. They were now a football league club again - and played in the equivalent of the old English fourth division. I

Would love it if Stevie G became your manager after having said all this.

Hopefully it happens, good bit of publicity for the Dons.

Other than as a purely vanity project (which MK don't really strike me as the sort tbf), I don't see why anyone there would choose Gerrard over someone with any sort of track record

Gerrard would be a bizarre choice to say the least. I would have assumed MK would have gone for Evans but now he's joined Mansfield anyway.

Don't think Evans will ever manage here, backlash in the forum was big enough to just the suggestion of him coming in.

Not to bothered if Gerrard comes in, I wanted Paul Mitchell. As long as it's not Cotterill I don't care who it is.

We've had our best seasons with a novice name in charge - Macari, Ardilles, Hoddle, di Canio. You could also add Steve McMahon but I loathe the fucker

Care to guess who said this?

Then...
"If we can make this happen in the next three years it will be a major plus for this club,"

Now...
"When I was a player here I was right behind everything the fans were doing back then,"

Hmm...
