Morecambe got off to a terrible start giving away a pen, keeper spilled for the second and that was it. Game over within twenty minutes and we just trounced them.
Our movement was fantastic tonight, players just moving around and dropping in to spaces , very fluid but still kept shape.
At some point a club are going to take a punt on Langstaff, he's at least one division better than L2.

According to our former legendary manager, he's Championship. He stated last night on SSN that he was very surprised nobody came in for him in the summer. Should really go in January tbh.

I wonder what sell on percentage Gateshead have on him?

Unsurprisingly the EFL's top scorer can't stay under the radar. :£

Should’ve changed the side for me, said before the game but we didn’t, heyho.

We just looked fucked tbh.

But 7/9 over christmas is good enough for me.

Yeah Clough keeping the same side was a mistake, playing Brunt and Reed alongside was unnecessary and we’d have been better off with two upfront.

Thought I'd check out this threadbare Stockport midfield to see how their 15 year olds got on and my Fotmob must have been hacked or something because it is saying mainstay Callum Camps played alongside Nick Powell who is on about 7k pw.

Yeah he has and the players had a serious off night and (sorry doncaster fans) had we played anyone decent i reckon we’d have been comfortably beaten.

I also expected him to change it at half time as it was crying out for it yet he waited until the equaliser and by then the game had drifted.

Absolute pudding of a pitch again down the west stand side, whatever we did with drainage clearly hasn’t worked.

Wimbledon scored 5
Fourth time we've done it.

Cheltenham and Ramsgate in the FA Cup and Portsmouth in the cut and shut trophy.

The Dons nearly did it against Notts tbf. Although at one point Notts were somehow a winner save away from leading 3-2 in the second half..

Tinpot thread.
We’ve had to move away from the diamond that saw or go on our crazy winning run because we haven’t got enough midfielders to play it.

We’ve moved back to the wing back system but are playing it with two full backs who refuse to overlap and can’t cross because our first choices are out injured.

Powell went off injured for the fifth time this season after having a leisurely stroll. He’s about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

We’re 18 months into our holiday at Camps Camp and I’ve no idea what he’s supposed to be good at or where we should play him but it’s very obvious he’s the exact opposite of what Challinor needs in his midfield though.

Croasdale is playing through injury and Bailey’s loan deal ends after Mansfield.

That’s one thing i’ve been envious of this season, home goals, (whereas it doesn’t necessarily equate to form/points accrued)

I look at wrexham 37 home goals, notts 35, stockport 30, infact all but 5 sides have scored more than our 16 at home, we just can’t put the ball in the net enough, which has led to the number of draws at we’ve had at home.

As described. Was very impressed by the subs, who all played their part. Apart from that, weather atrocious, interesting drive home; despite the re-development Harrogate is probably THE most non-league ground ever to grace the EFL (and I include Barrow and their spectacular views in that), and I can't believe we've scored 7 goals away from home in three days after barely managing that all season. Either that or I'm hallucinating thanks to an overdose of quality street over Christmas...
Thank you for including us in your year end ground review......insightful and riveting to use as a guide source for fellow pilgrims.

What I'm enjoying is the spread of goals across the team. Sixteen different goalscorers in all competitions.

Salford were worse than bad last night but yet again we played lovely football that feels like it has a real identity. Massive overreactions when that style failed us against Harrogate & Mansfield but overall you can say it’s been a good, solid start under Artell.

His interviews before and after our game were rather strange (apparently grimsby should’ve been 4-1 up at half time haha) but you played good stuff and you were better than doncaster were last night by some margin, just not shown in the results.

The worst thing about losing a game is that our forum goes into complete reactionary meltdown. Lots of threads asking what is going wrong - "Why is our away form so bad!!??" (it's not).

Some people have lost any sense of perspective over the last three years.

Oh at least a 22 year old getting a contract extention has distracted some so they've spent some time slagging him off instead.

when you have an open house for the whole western world to suddenly become a fan with no idea then your gonna have a meltdown forum by a fair few band wagoners ......gone are the rationale days of regular fans understanding the game and being the voice of reason.

Last night was a reminder that football never fails to surprise.

Having witnessed both Notts Vs Donny games this season, where the world's oldest professional football team looked a class above, dominated possession and controlled both the games, scored 6 and realistically should have scored 10 over the two games.

So if you said to me that a top side was going to fail to beat Doncaster Rovers this season I would be very surprised. If you told me a top side in this division would fail to beat them twice I simply wouldn't believe it. Mind blowing to fail twice.

As the legend Greavsie once famously said it's a funny old game. Certainly ruined my three trebles last night.

Also a handy reminder to never a judge a team based on one or two games you've seen, use the league table instead. It's what it's there for.
Yep thats the best way to do it the table doesnt lie

You most certainly can't call yourself Tinpot and proud if you're going to get all uppity when someone calls your ground shit(!) "Tinpot and defensive" springs to mind...

I should say I'd love to see Barrow go up this year, the idea of several hundred confused QPR fans huddling together for warmth is exactly what League One needs.

Ours did the same after drawing with doncaster last night, plenty of “why did we keep the same team” “why did the subs take so long to come on” even some comments about alleged racist comments to jordan bowery over race….

I mean it comes on the back of being unbeaten at home, lost 1 in 23, lowest goals conceded, lowest home goals conceded….

Sometimes fans get overexcited on the back of a decent run and expect runs all the time.

Exactly mi amigo. Neither do the history books.

We had a shocking result at Harrogate recently and Mansfield had one at home to Donny.

Exactly, you got no points from a shocking result and we got 1. hence being top 3.

Oh yeah, if we get a good result against Barrow then we will probably win the league by 10 points.

No middle ground for some fans.
