Tyler Goodrham I think when he'd just turned 16 but could be wrong.

I think the inclusion of John Mousinho and Simon Eastwood will have taken our average in today's squad to just over 20.

I think ours is still Jack Hobbs in 2005. Came on for the final couple of minutes at home to Bristol Rovers, then sold him to Liverpool for £750k a few days later IIRC.

Ended up having a decent career but picked up quite a few lengthy injuries.

I think Andy Sinton might have been the record holder for Cambridge at 16. Kai Yearn played tonight, also 16.

Someone worked out that at the start of the game Newport had players with more appearances for Argo than those in our starting eleven. Doubt that has happened much, if ever. The only seasoned pros were our back up keeper, a CB returning from 3 match suspension and a young loaner with his first start. The next oldest was probably twenty, we had a lot of teenagers play. Our senior striker had three sub appearances.

Never get how footballers guaranteed to get wages can walk off the team bus on the opening day of the season
Yet one man business men got 25p in the £

You ain’t the first and looking at some the money being thrown around in the lower divisions at the moment, and even in non league, sadly you won’t be the last.

This is good to hear, and I agree the football creditors rule is an awful anachronism. I note that Football Ventures were required by the deal agreed with the EFL in 2019 to do so by this summer or face further sanctions.

Yes it is Standard practise when all clubs come out of Administration they have to settle all debt agreed by the Administrators in 24 months or face further sanctions

I am sure that you were not trying to be duplicitous, but someone who did not know the deal might think the word “agreed” implied Bolton were being altruistic. But we both know a) that is not the case and b) the existing rules are a nonsense. What I don’t understand is why any Government does not bring in a Statute to cut this loophole. Maybe an accountant can explain why?

Sounds like he really just didn’t have to the motivation or hunger to carry on after so many injuries and false dawns .

Hoban explains why he quit the game .

Sponsorship. I know it's a vital lifeline for revenue for clubs and at our level we need everything we can but it somewhat saddens me when headlines on our club page say 'PLUMBING AND GAS SOLUTIONS MK DONS PLAYER OF THE MONTH'.

Silly really as it make absolutely no difference but hey.

So Cameron John has a broken back and will be out indefinitely hope the young man can make a healthy recovery but you just couldn’t make this season up with injuries

We had a virtual fans forum tonight focusing on financial issues and the accounts introduced last week. Lots of detail, but one things stands out. The budget for this season is based on average home crowds of 11,500 per home match. This strikes me as surprisingly high. We are having our highest number of fans since about 2007/8 and we are probably averaging 11,200/11,300. There are big games to come and if we stay around the top six turnout will be relatively large, but we have a fair bit of work still to do to get on budget.

Assuming the WC will be on BBC/ITV then it’s a good chance for a lot of L1/2 teams to earn some good money?

Knowing Sky they’ll choose to have Chunkz and another YouTuber on discussing all the talking points from Iran v Senegal and the other big games of the day…

If our matches coincide with desirable WC matches our support will suffer, I'm certain about that.

This WC sucks on so many levels. We have the best chance for years of having a brilliant WC and it's in Qatar, in the middle of the football season. What utter shite.

Don't think Club's get any more money for being on TV? Doesn't it just form part of the EFL payments throughout a season?

Wyke hadn't had the vaccine, and neither had Eriksen, apparently, which nips that conspiracy theory in the bud. If anything it's far more likely to be the effects of long covid, than anything from the vaccine.
