Not sure where else to put this, but the supporter who was taken ill last night at our game has sadly passed away.

RIP. The most horrific thing I have ever seen at a football match and the officials didn't even stop the game and for me handled the situation very poorly.
Incredibly sad. Thoughts are with his family and friends.

It was really distressing to watch, a young girl near me was absolutely distraught when we could see them giving him CPR on the touchline.

The officials handled the situation terribly, I couldn't believe the ref was trying to restart play when everyone could see what was happening.

RIP

Very sad. Fair play to the fans for forcing the Ref to do what he should have chosen to do.

RIP

Just put a woe is me post on the matchday thread, but Cheltenham losing pales in comparison to this. RIP fella.

Think ours will go against Fleetwood, England U20's announced tomorrow but expect Devine and Arblaster to be in which would be our three with Josh Thomas in the Wales U21 squad today.

Pah, these age group call ups are so dull. We have full internationals these days.

Now we know why you signed Yanic Wildschut, to get your 3 internationals!
Funnily, there's some people who genuinely think the only reason we signed him is because of the international aspect

Ours vs Reading already called off a few days ago. Unsurprisingly the away end was already sold out which was announced a few hours before it was called off. Pretty much everyone knew that this would be called off though.

Condolences to the Orient fans family after the incident in midweek, a terrible thing to happen. Sounds like the ref was a bit slow to stop the game but I wasn't there so can't comment too much.

I think our game against Burton will go ahead. We were prepared to play Oxford the other week despite call-ups (a little surprised about that given the injury situation we had/have) but they didn't want to.

Thought it had to be 3 players called up for a postponement?
It is, Josh Thomas was called up for Wales U21 yesterday, apologies, I meant to say Arblaster and Devine had been called up in addition.

Having a game called off due to 3 loan players on international duty is a joke. They shouldnt count imo

We haven't as yet but with the injuries we have and being without 3 more, especially Arblaster would be suicide.

I’d better start making alternative plans for our game on 18th November - the last international break of the year!

Yep, pretty likely to go, the main irritation of it is all three this half of the season are at home so we go from a decent attendance on a Saturday to about 5k on a Tuesday night and a couple of hundred away fans in these games.

This is the way it will be now at L1 level (and even lower), with so many loans at each club from Premier sides who are youth team internationals.

I imagine next season we will be like the top two divisions and have international weekends off as so many are P-P now. Why not use that for the Pizza Paint Cup?

Why not? They are part of the club so should be treated as contracted players.

Just my own opinion. They are someone else's players. We would have 3 out too so im not saying it out of spite

Joey Barton has mocked Oxford United Assistant Manager Chris Hogg’s playing career after Chris Hogg sent him a ‘laughing emoji’ on Twitter. Barton responded with a Wikipedia screenshot of Chris Hogg, the Assistant Manager’s playing career…

However what Joey Barton failed to fact check was which Chris Hogg he would be responding too that had sent him the message in the first instance…

This Chris Hogg who has been criticised by Barton for his time with Hibernian is merely an Oxford United supporter, who hasn’t played a professional game in his life. It’s superb if anyone wants to kill 30 seconds.

I hope the Asst Manager Chris Hogg and the rest of the squad takes the pee out of him for this when we next play them. Also nice of Joey to set up our team talk at the reverse fixture with that "wah wah wah" interview.

I would'nt get your hopes up too much. We've had about 20 of them since the Mid 70's.

We've been there and done that plenty of times. If this doesn't happen, we won't have a ground at all.

I doubt that there has ever been a better site proposed before with Oxford Parkway next door, P&R car parks also, or nearby, so good for public transport and parking which won't all converge on one site. The County Council are onboard as they've agreed to lease the site to the club.
