Like we won’t miss you when you go down in may.
And yeah yeah I know. We will be going down as well.

Yes you won't miss us because as you say you'll be going down to L2 and we'll still be in L1 next season.

You do make a good point.

Issue it seems is scoring goals - only 10 so far. And three were in one game.
Fortunately it’s a really shit league this season, so you only really need to string a few wins together to be mid table.
Blackpool I still think will grab automatic.
Rhodes will be going back to Huddersfield in January which will fuck up their top six hopes, never mind autos.

One who has scored 10 in 14 does, their other strikers are no marks.
Beesley looked decent last time he played against us, for Rochdale, albeit we havent had a decent defence for many years now

Our fans have obsessed over him since he got a brace at Vale Park in the promotion season for some reason!

Just googled him and his goal return looks abysmal.

They'll have pretty much no chance of replacing Rhodes who seems to just take the piss at this level.

They scored two goals in their first five games before Rhodes arrived.

Yeah although he looked good for Rochdale in that same season, that was only after Connor Taylor came off with a heart issue.
As SF_ said his goalscoring record is poor. He scored a brace against us too, luckily we won 4-2! so thats most of his goals

Carlisle would argue if they had a forward scoring as good as Rhodes their league position would be much different.

No point being able to compete and play the ball about if none of it at all is dangerous.

A dangerous forward is vital

Tonight we play Lincoln in our rearranged game that was abandoned after one of our fans passed away following cardiac arrest during the original fixture.

We’ve had ten days off which was needed as a few players picked up knocks.

Unsure what to expect from Lincoln tonight, we’ll do what we usually do, it’s whether or not we can be better in both boxes than we did against Oxford last time out.

We'll be pretty much the same as the first game, no major changes for us in terms of formation or personnel. The new Head Coach has been here a week and has only had two proper training sessions due to the build-up to games (and we're Sat, Tues, Sat next week as well I think).

Missing two of the three CB's from the first game - O'Connor (suspended) and Roughan (ROI U21 duty). But generally speaking we're also missing Montsma, House, Walker and Bishop and Hackett as well. Sounds like Vale, who went off injured on Saturday, might be ok to play some part tonight.

Score, and you win. We don't have anything in the locker from an attacking point of view. Been hugely frustrating watching us since September time in that respect and the confidence has absolutely drained from us in recent weeks. Also gone from being the best in the division at defending crosses and set pieces last season to the worst this season as well. Not a good combination...!

Oh...wasn't expecting that.

We were poor first half with Orient looking the better side. Can't remember many clear chances, we looked devoid of ideas but were frustrating Orient and defended well.

2nd half we were more progressive, more purpose on the ball, passing well, and apart from a long range effort from Galbraith with Jensen saving well, felt if any side deserved it, it was probably us, just. Thats not to say we deserved it though - fully expected Orient to find a way. Makama missed a 1 on 1 he should have scored. Was Orient keeper wrong footed for our goal?

Much better 2nd half, our type of performance at the moment. We don't have many goals in us. Something to work on for Skubala.

F*ck Lincoln.
Totally abject over 174 minutes, stolen 3 points here due to the death of our supporter.
Never seen fans as quiet as theirs either, very very poor showing over both games.
That's left a very sour taste.

Not their fault the game had to be replayed though after the tragic circumstances.

Wouldn't say we stole 3 points, we frustrated you, no doubt about that, but i was expected more from Orient tonight. There were a few long range efforts, but we defended, made no inidvidual errors and huffed and puffed. Frustratingly with how we are set up at the moment, its what we have to do to win games.

No surprise fans were quiet, its a long way to travel on a Tuesday night. Never done Brisbane Road, would have if was on a weekend. Maybe next season, as can't see either of us doing anything

I'd say you stole 3 points given we were 1 up with 5 minutes to go but that's just our luck.
Whatever, onto Wigan, can't say I'm excited at the prospect...

0-0 was probably the right scoreline, we didn't deserve to lose but the game at the end got far too stretched and end to end. Moments before Hamilton scores Sotiriou and Forde both should've done better with their chance which Jensen saved, when games go like that at the end like a basketball game it can be a toss of a coin, we got caught without a second wind I thought, very laboured from us at the back. Lincoln were better second half, to their credit they pushed to try and score first and committed men forward.

We've had enough chances to score overall tonight and once again in the final third not been good enough and with the step up in division we lose the game at the end. Unless we score first in games we find it tough to come from behind.

Have to say that having been 1-0 up after 85mins and having the fixture abandoned to then lose the replay/rematch 1-0 in the 89th minute does give you that feeling of being robbed, theres not getting away from that.

Tricky one, Orient can feel aggrieved but its not Lincoln's fault either I guess, ideal world Orient win and it can be moved on from, difficult situation for all concerned.

Interesting you say that because when he came in, Skubala said that we had to have a "don't be afraid to lose" mentality at times because sometimes it's better to risk a point for three.

If it was Kennedy in charge last night with the starting XI and squad we had available, we'd have sat back even more later in the game and tried to take a 0-0 but it sounds as though despite having nothing up front and no creativity in the side, we've at least tried to do something. Which in itself is minor positive if nothing else.

It's going to take a while to change these players to that mentality though - they've had 18 months of handbrake, rigid, low possession, risk averse, low press and passive football trained into them.

The last 15/20mins it became a far too open game for me - you also had another chance when the youngster who came on number 27 also went through 1v1 with Brynn and somehow dragged his shot wide which was a better chance - probably your best one of the game.

Both teams took risks and you came out on top. We’re not usually that open, I didn’t think we was as bad as some made out as we’ve again had chances and good moments to take the lead, but Wellens still laid into our players in his interview, not happy with the game management and mentality at the end and our laid back first half attitude.

Looks like the Carlisle takeover has happened today.

Going to add a massive twist to the relegation battle because I’d imagine Carlisle are favourites for then drop to many people and even if the owners long term financially destroy the club and end up useless in the short term they are bound to come in Billy big b*llocks and I’d expect Carlisle to suddenly spend quite large in January.

I’d imagine what was got Simpson last week looking at option c and d transfer choices can now look at option a

Yes we have finally been taken over and are now moving into the 21st century so I can see us really investing in January for a deadly strike force which we will very much need to help us survive L1.

Good times ahead and no more room for negativity like from our most unbearably pessimistic fans!!

They can also join our previous depressive owners in leaving the club *cough hellogregory*.

No idea who is taking over, are they wealthy enough to outspend some of the big boys in this division?

A wealthy American family.

All I'll say is that we're the new Wrexham now, just without the Hollywood circus of course.

There may be a hint of hyperbole in Carver's last post!

The Piatak's seem to be the real deal, but I don't think we'll be seeing Wrexham levels of spending. They've pledged a 'stepchange' budget for January's window, but beyond that I anticipate a measured approach. Their track record in business shows massive promise, with sensible, sustainable investment very much the order.

Excited to see where this goes, but the real business begins on Saturday with a very difficult game against Charlton. Hoping to see a big turnout for this one...

I don’t think they have pots of cash, they just run loads of haulage stuff over Florida.

Their overall wealth we will see longer term but short term whether cash or not they will increase the wage budget and the transfer budget……….happens most of the time with takeovers.
