Speaking of the conference i make 11 - Mansfield, lincoln, wrexham, cambridge, crawley, stockport, exeter, stevenage, bristol rovers, shrewsbury and burton which have plied their trade in the conference since the millennium, obviously some like burton and shrewsbury were some while ago.

Stockport County.
Wrong, we've been outspent by Posh and Burton (along with Brum), but we have spent well over the past couple of years to get us to where we are now.
Peterborough net spend? No chance. They sold a couple of players for big money this summer.

Burton again, no chance.

Wrexham have spent the second most in the division. There is no reason they can't push for that second automatic spot. It looks wide open to me. I don't think they are the 2nd best team at this moment (table says Wycombe are but I'd be more minded to go with Bolton or Huddersfield).

But promotion will be the aim of the owners otherwise they wouldn't have spent so much this summer.
Good fishing.

Oh, so net spend? Changed your wording now you been proven wrong. Why didn't you say that in your initial post?

I cant think of Wrexham signing many players.
We have spent quite a bit on the likes of Hutchinson, Forde, Omochere and Sotiriou. Well over a million there yet we are still shit

We've spent for sure but maybe not on the big names people were expecting so that's why people might think we've done nothing big.

Rathbone and Faal not far off £1m between them. We also signed Scarr, Brunt and Revan for fees but not sure how much those ones were. We famously swatted Mansfield aside to sign Brunt as a bench-warmer.

Dobson and Okonkwo on frees as well as the 2 frees last week.

.

just for clarity.

I hope Brunt starts playing soon, feel like it may harm his career long term, him playing in a Parkinson side just is a strange fit, financially the opposite obvs.

I just don't see how he's going to get in the team unless someone's form drops off drastically. He hasn't been playing even when Cleworth was out injured.

O'Connor is sublime and is Parky's favourite player, one of the first names on the teamsheet no question. Cleworth has become too good not to play as the right sided CB, as shown that he came straight back in once fit. That only leaves the middle CB where Scarr is making his home now. Brunt is cover for either side really.

It’s very clough to go and sign a midfielder, put him as a central defender and then he turns out to be pretty impressive - bets he’s on a damn sight less than what we offered brunt too.

Like you i wish brunt all the best, and i can’t blame him by being lured by the circus either, why would you be? however i genuinely thought we’d really miss him - and well, we haven’t.

Have to laugh at anyone calling our club a circus. In what way do you all see it like it is? Quite pathetic, if you ask me.

I think another season at Mansfield in L1 and he would be getting a move to a decent sized Championship club so may be a bit of a own goal down the line.

Good job i wasn’t asking you then.

It’s not the club that’s a circus it’s all the nonsense that comes with it from the media, much like was Salford before and will be someone after they’re bored with you. Players are going to look at it and see £££, which as i said in the original post, you can’t blame him.

It’s like our game in a weeks time on tv, we know there won’t be any coverage or interest in us, it wasn’t when we played salford either, it’s just nauseating - which in isn’t the fault of the wrexham fans in any way.

I love the 'they'll get bored eventually' comments as well. Another thing to try and beat us down with. The owners have said they are going to wait a fucking long time. Their words, not mine.

Regarding the media, we can't control that as a football club, so I can't see how you can say a player is moving to a circus. We're certainly not, so stop trying to call it one.

I don't think there is anything in moving our game. In fact, our club has only been on the box 4 times in the league and that 3 games were on tv in 3 times in 1 week at the start of the season. We had to be moved in the interest of fairness to other teams and it so happened to have been our game with Mansfield.

Time of the month or something? someone’s sensitive.

I can’t recall saying that they’d get bored?

And yeah, i’m happy saying that he’s moved there for the money and the circus that it all is, wrexhams doing or not - that’s what it is. I said the same for salford, so get pick up your dummy.

I mean he’s not playing for wrexham so he can live there is he? it’s the money, hype and hubbub that comes with it so - i can see why he did it though, i don’t blame him, i would.

Do you still have that ex-comedian as chief exec?

Humphrey Ker? I'm pretty sure he is still a comedian. Top bloke.

He's Executive Director. Our Chief Executive is Michael Williamson, who is a football bloke (ex Inter Milan and DC United)

We've got entertainers on the board but the core are football execs like Williamson, Shaun Harvey and Les Reed

I'd say HK is as liked as R&R are by the Wxm fanbase.

Totally NOT a Wrexham-kind of bloke, posh, plummy AF, mates with Royalty etc...but he's all-in with the club and just as importantly - also the area (he's about as athletic as ME, yet he's now in training to run the Manchester Marathon to raise money for the Wxm Miners Rescue museum, and is THE reason that we were dragged away from the edge of the abyss by R&R's takeover....as you say TOP bloke!

For his role in the takeover ever happening in the first place he deserves a massive statue somewhere in town.

Point being, with all these comedians and comedy writers around, Mr Phonic shouldn't get so worked up on being called a 'circus'

Maybe these new yank investors made their money through lion taming, you never know

Comedians and comedy writers, not clowns. I don't see the former being around circus'.

If Humphrey Ker makes Wrexham a circus, what does Carolyn Radford make Mansfield? An Escort wasn't she?
