I see the FA have thrown out the proposals for Wales' EFL clubs to be in a Welsh domestic cup to get into Europe.

Good.
Agreed. I think most Wrexham fans agree too.
Side note: Shrews & Jester used to play in the welsh cup years ago, but weren't allowed to play in Europe if they won the competition...

It also wouldn’t be fair for the welsh teams either, despite what TNS did, the average side in that league would be conference north/south (at best) sticking Cardiff and Swansea in the cup for instance would be crazy.

There was a conspiracy from Mansfield fans on twitter saying why are we always at home at Xmas. Lo and behold we're going to be playing away fella for a little bit. Mind boggles. Apart from 1 game scheduled at home in Feb which is PP due to Orient cup game, its something like 8 out of the next 11 away.
Can't recall exactly, but up to last week we were something like 12 away out of the last 17.

I agree. It's a nonsense unless you let the winners of the County cups qualify for Europe too.
The point of it was to pump more much needed money into the Welsh system, the 4 clubs in the English system weren't to benefit financially as all profits were to be distributed across all clubs.

There's zero benefit for the FA however, and bitter resentment from supporters of English clubs so it was never being signed off.

Would it have involved you not taking part in the league or FA cup? If so, seems fair enough. If not, cake, having, eating, comes to mind

No, we'd take part in those competitions but couldn't qualify for Europe through them. Effectively they'd become our county cups.

There's definitely a valid argument to be had around having our cake and eating it, but English football isn't a fair playing field as it is. If it was, money would trickle down more fairly from the top and we wouldn't be ditching FA Cup replays for a few clubs to play more games in Europe.

It wasn't exactly fair that we very nearly lost our club because of a handful of arseholes with no interest in the sport seeking profit from our demise, and that fans had to find £200k in a day to pay a bond to the National League to stay in the competition.

This initiative is there to benefit the Welsh system, which the English obviously don't give a shit about. In that essence, I couldn't give 2 shits about what you English fans would think of us getting this pathway.

Wide of the mark, here. The majority wanted it and why wouldn't they?
Bc it's a shit cup.
Most I spoke to about it were against it. Some saw the word 'Europe' ...and were all for it, but some the teams in it (with the odd exception) I've never even heard of...Borac Banja Luka v Olimpija Ljubljana sounds meaty in the next round...

I've never been, but I've been to Sarajevo with Wales and the Bosnians are very hospitable, we really enjoyed our time there.

Sometimes, the countries you don't often think of going to often end up making for excellent trips.

The Khalili Brothers are the younger (twin) sons of Sir Nasser Khalili. A London based property developer and substantial collector of Abrahamic art, especially Islamic art.

Strange bedfellows for the far right. I know nowt though.
