Correct, and Grayson still takes the piss and brings Kilkenny on in most games instead of giving game time to two decent youngsters in Browne and Brownhill
Bit harsh. Kilkenny has been decent this season and is a more than good enough replacement off the bench for Welsh. I would rather have his experience coming off the bench in a promotion battle. Browne and Brownhill are for the future. Brownhill should be out on loan.

Meh, I don't really agree. He's too weak and gets bypassed too easily. No denying he has a good pass on him though.

Will ask Grayson on Thursday if I see him at the training ground if the younguns will go out on loan. Being wasted atm.

Brownhill is gash. By the way he plays he thinks he's already big time. Browne could be a top player! I'm a kilkenny fan but there is no room for him at the moment with Welsh playing his best whilst in PNE colours and the signing of the season Daniel Johnson

I agree that he shouldn't be starting. He slows the tempo down too much but I think he is perfect coming off the bench when in the lead to kill the game.

Sorry man! Knew I'd forgotten someone!

You confuse me too much, I always think you're a Rochdale fan and now you're in Hull?!
Haha Fair enough happen to live in Dale and go to Uni in Hull, its great for away games not so much for getting to Deepdale

Ah right! Thought you were older tbh!

Going Barnsleh on Saturday? Not too far is it from Hull?
Good thing to know I come across as an old man online as well as in real life, I'm only a year older than you. Nah I was planning on going but I can barely afford food never mind train and football tickets, next game I'll be able to get to will be Rochdale at home which we best win cos I never heard the end of it after the game at Spotland

So did Johnson take Kilkenny's place in the team? That would explain Preston's change in fortunes a lot.

Nah, Kilkenny lost his place because we completely changed the system.

Him and John Welsh don't compliment each other but Kilkenny is still a very good player at this level. He's ran many a game for us.

As for Brownhill who was mentioned earlier, he's definitely not 'gash' just a 19yr old who struggled with the deeper role he was given at the start of the season. He could do with a good loan move to show what he can do in an attacking role, his best position is behind the striker.

I think PNE will clinch second place, Johnstone and Johnson were massive signings for them in January. Two of the best players in there respective positions at this level and has moved them up a level from play offs to automatics.

Its no surprise the two teams who concede the least have risen to the top

Aye but there are other factors as well as those two, the return of Garner obviously, John Welsh hitting top form in his new role, the return of Bailey Wright who was missing for most of the season and the re-signing of Callum Robinson another. Jermaine Beckford recovering from his illness and finding his feet has certainly helped too, he's bagged 7 in 13.

All those things combined has allowed Grayson to play a much more attacking system and you can tell the players are enjoying it. Keeping clean sheets never hurts either.

Out of last night's eleven, only three remained from the side which slumped out of the JPT to Walsall at the end of January.

Just as an FYI, our remaining games are thus -

Col U (a) 3
Franchise (h) 1
B.City (a) 0
Posh (h) 3
Rochdale (a) 1
Yeovil (h) 3
Walsall (h) 3
Preston (a) 1
Orient (h) 3

We have no game this weekend because of the JPT and so IF Preston lose their tricky game at Barnsley on Saturday, there will be a 2 point gap. However if they overcome that toughy with a win, I think it will be massive and possibly a mental goal scored before our next match. I predict 18 more points for us.

I've watched Browne and Brownhill a few times over the past 2 seasons, and Browne always strikes me as the better player.

As for 2nd place - It's Preston's to lose, especially with having a game in hand and having Swindon to still visit Deepdale, which could be a real crunch match.

I think Preston will do it, and they'll give us a good run for the title as well.

They are different types of player. Browne is a battling midfielder who wins the ball and in the mould of John Welsh. Brownhill is more like a Gallagher, a flair player who loves to get forward. Played in the right position Brownhill was fantastic last season.

How do you compare Kilkenny with the rest of your midfield? Noticed he's been out of the side recently, maybe that coincides with your good form :bg:

Edit: Don't worry BCFCJordan has already asked exactly the same thing a bit further up

Speaking about Walsh - he was fantastic at AG when you beat us, a real powerhouse and a dominant midfielder, and then he found himself out of the side shortly after for a long period, it's not surprising that since he's came back in you've re-picked up form.

We took 250 to Doncaster on a Tuesday night last season to be fair.

Oldham is a much less attractive proposition for us.

Was this a cup game?

You were in different divisons last season so I'm sceptical.

So how many will you bring to the CG next month - or is the telly going to win out?

Probably about 800, maybe 1,000 if we are in better form.

I doubt that very much, especially given that you aren't going to be able to get a train to Swindon.

Given the travel problems and the fact its on the telly, i'd say 500 tops.

It would be 800 at least if the game wasnt on TV. Also how the hell can your club charge £27 for an adult ticket for a game that is on TV, in League one and to go to a stadium like that? an absolute joke!

Its only £27 for category A games so be grateful that your club is held in such high regard. Most other people think you are a bunch of c***.
