Anyway, isn't it time for the City fans to go to bed.

You've got a big day tomorrow

Find it incredible Peterborough are in the playoffs after being shite for a good 4 months. Guess the same could be said about Barnsley though
P'boro had an incredible start to the season mind - they were top for a fair few games.

I would have taken that at the start of the day. It's only Preston now who are a threat to us, couldn't care less about MK and Swindon.

Good point for us, out of our last 10 it was definitely the toughest

Yeah true their start meant that despite 4 dreadful months they remained top half/mid table. Still find it incredible mind, I think some of their fans were even getting worried about relegation at one point. A string of good results and they're right back in the promotion mix. Hope they don't go up as in my opinion it will be pretty undeserved, although if they can knock Swindon out in the playoffs I'll be happy :bg:

Erm, we had dropped to 17th at one point, just 4 points above relegation. 6 games later, we're 6th.

So do we.

It was only a few weeks ago that we comfortably beat Posh 3-0. Now they could be beating us in the play-offs, AGAIN. FFS.

The footballing world certainly hopes so.

After the MK Dons defeat, the players were concerned about relegation as well. The turnaround is pretty immense and to sit in the playoffs now is good. I'm enjoying football again, something I hadn't done for about 18 months under Ferguson.

9 games left, I think another 5 wins will be enough to do it with a draw thrown in, here and there. Fleetwood will be tricky on Sunday.

I may start to panic if Swindon beat both MK Dons and Bristol City back-to-back.

Can't disregard MK yet.

Even if you do pip us, I hope we still have the chance of promotion when we face each other.

Would make for a cracking atmosphere

Fuck that, I want an easy ride with no drama, hope you've made a bollocks of everything by then and we limp quietly over the finish line.

Bristol City have now mathematically guaranteed a play off spot. Some tricky fixtures coming up for them, still work to do for them to secure an automatic spot, but they aren't far off. Preston didn't play today, but they also have some tough games in the next few weeks, they could do with winning tomorrow at Fleetwood.

Swindon and MK Dons didn't play today and face each other next Saturday in a huge game. The winner take pole position to chase Preston, so its a massive fixture. Sheff U lost at home to Crewe, but did take 6 points from their last 3 home games. Not secure in that play off spot, they have 2 local derbies to come now, real chance for them to wrap up 5th spot. Rochdale are right back in the hunt after 5 wins in their last 7. They also have a huge game coming up, away to Preston. Gonna need to keep their form up to hold off the chasing pack.

Barnsley picked up another excellent result by drawing away at Ashton Gate. Their local derby with Sheff U next week is a season definer for them. Win and they'll be 2 points behind Utd. Posh lost at home to Coventry but are only outside the play offs on goal difference. Big chance in their next 2 to get some momentum back. Chesterfield have won 4 of their last 6 and have a couple of the strugglers to come after they face Bradford. A draw at Valley Parade and they could be well placed to mount a top 6 push. Bradford got a much needed win after 1 win in their last 7. Like all the other promotion contenders, they have some tough games in their run in. Do they have the squad for it?

Another tight battle at the top, just like at the bottom. Be interesting to see if Swindon and MK Dons can keep pace with Preston, also interesting to see if Preston can hold onto 2nd spot with the pressure on. Sheff U should wrap up 5th, but a defeat next week and suddenly they look shaky. Then its anyones guess who makes 6th spot. 1 from 4 potentially, although you can't rule out the sides sat 11th-14th either, they aren't far away. Wow, the league has been pretty weak this season, but it makes for some exciting games at the top and bottom of the league.
