Nah, if we had won today I would still have some very slim hopes of catching you but it's over now.

I wouldn't ake anything you read on there seriously, 95% of posters on there seem to be mentally ill.

You should be. Scoring 4 against Notts County put us back in our rightful place as the top scorers in League One.
They have been a shower of shite for a fair while now though.....consistency and grinding out the results is the key. Like that team at the top of the pile :2thumb:

sounds familiar to our forum.... But maybe 99.9 % in that case

Think we will bounce back well on Friday at Oldham ..... Then games are running out for you to catch anyway.... Anyone, even mk to come up with us, bar the cheats.

I will return to this page of the thread when we go above Swindon Town on Saturday and then at the end of the season when we finish 2nd. Ye of little faith.

You'll finish above Swindon, but I doubt you'll be 2nd.

The good news is you can both have another go next season after Rochdale win the playoffs.

I note that some have said that Preston's draws at Barnsley and Fleetwood are 'slips'. I don't really see it that way. Away points at tough opponents are crucial at this stage and keep Preston's undefeated run going. They are still very much in the box seat.

For us to take second is going to take a massive effort and probably us needing to best City, Franchise and Preston, I can't see us doing that. Our game on Saturday is massive, it's not quite winner takes all, but loser probably is more or less out of the running for second, although I think there may be more twists and turns to come.

It'll be nervy, exciting, fascinating and nail biting, who has got the balls now to get over the winning line?

I was disappointed with yesterday's point at the time but on reflection that result isn't to be sniffed at. There are a lot of teams going for the play-offs who won't drop many points at home and I presume Swindon and MK have to play a couple of them.

5 wins out of our remaining 8 should do it, especially if one of them is against Swindon.

If we win it is a three way race, if we draw it is a three way race, if we lose it is a two way race. That is the way I see it - though a draw is not really any good for us unless PNE slip up and we both therefore gain a point or keep things the same.

Doesn't 'cruising' have gay undertones?

Would go well with that homo erotic pic of your lot - the one with Flint looking like the leader!

Point for Preston wasn't a bad one for them but it was a good one for us. As for the rest, it keeps them involved.

If Swindon get 2nd from here I'll be impressed. Still think Preston will eek it out. Haven't written MK off yet but with Swindon, Fleetwood and Rochdale to go to, I can't seem them picking up maximum points. Vale away and Doncaster at home also aren't gimmie's. They will need 6 or 7 wins from 8 to get 2nd I think.

Given Rochdale's injury crisis, Preston will take a commanding league before Saturday in any case.

They will be home and hosed way before Swindon hit the M6 to Deepdale.

If the table on Sunday read as:

PNE - 39 - 77
Swindon - 38 - 71
MK - 39 - 70

That would be swell....
