Is there anyone Wrexham aren't signing? All those players getting back from Vegas might find they are being pushed on in the next phase of the project.
I can't see May and Mullin both starting for them, too similar.

Really nice lad, will be popular with your fans and certainly works hard. Is he good enough for League 1? I highly doubt it tbh, unless he’s improved a lot.

JP has rubbished the rumour anyway, and I know who I believe between him and bloody Moose off TalkSport.

I honestly don't think they hold any real interest in May. As you say, they've already got Mullin and May is far too similar and will cost stupid money for a duplicate. There's also Cole Stockton available on a free.

It's just an easy link for the news sites.

I see May going to someone like Derby, Huddersfield or Barnsley (if they don't go up).

Ian "Moose" Abrahams is linking us with Omar Bugiel.

Not sure what to think about that to be honest.
Apparently he denied that post game Monday and mentioned Oxford. We’ll miss him in a major way, he actually spends a lot of time as an extra midfielder for us and his work rate is off the scale. Could always have done with a few more goals but he would have moved on long ago if he was scoring regularly too.

Be happy with that whoever gets him. Certainly in the season we went up from L2 I’d say he was the best fullback in the division.

We linking with Tranmere full backs again, it was the left back in January! See Pett is linked with going Tranmere.

Local press reporting we're interested in Sam Smith. I'm not sure if that's a genuine transfer rumour or just journalists putting two and two together to fill out some pages.
We were watching him back in October.

Competing with L1 clubs for players sounds about right.

Everyone is in for May. We’re a “front runner” now apparently

One of loads of clubs linked to Lewis Wing, we showed an interest back in his Boro days.

Wouldn't be fuming with him signing, but he'd be a big downgrade on Daniel Johnson, although a likely huge step up from Ben Woodburn.

Sonny Bradley has been linked with us - a link that I could see coming a mile off, but doubtful that it will come to fruition.

It's a weird one, though, likely would get a decent pay rise to drop a level after being released from his Premier League chasing club where he's captain. Hull (and others) are interested. If I was going to bet on him going anywhere then I'd say Hull as that's where he's from originally.

Someone on our forum suggesting Macaulay Bonne is deciding between us and Orient.

He took a long while to settle in for us, but you can maybe see why in a team more used to playing direct.

He’s all about playing it through the middle and picking a pass. Funny that he didn’t seem to click at Wednesday, would have thought he’d do well there.

Not a huge shock we're back in for him, he would fit Wellens style well too.

Having said that, he isn't the player he was 4 years ago when we had him in Non League.

ALOT of our fans would love to see him back, part of me would too. Another part of me says never go back though and we should try something else.

Bonner is very clever in working with strikers and getting the best out of them. Paul Mullin and Sam Smith have both exceeded expectations under him. Macaulay Bonne has a big decision to make as his career has been stop start since QPR.

Being an Ipswich lad he can commute to Cambridge and hopefully enjoy his football again if he joins us.

Apparently he said at our end of season awards when he said he was leaving that he wouldn’t go to Hull.

I think he had a falling out with some people to there when he was a youngster which, whilst some time ago, has soured him on the place.

Interesting - It does seem like a good option for us. We've allowed Davies, Chester & Stearman leave and he need a good character coming in their place and one with a bit of quality. Assuming he would still do a job in League One.

We are in the market for three centre backs anyway - Bradley would kick us off nicely.

Just seen this article linked on our forum:

I have so many questions:
1) How are we Pompeys rivals in any way now we’re in the league above?
2) The three signings are all for the academy aged 16, 16 and 18. How is that article suggesting they’re actual proper signings?
3) Why is a Portsmouth fan site updating them on the incoming academy transfers of a team in the league above?

Very odd.

Was liking official Ipswich Instagram posts about their 6-0 win over us.

Was a huge over reaction but was a pretty stupid thing to do.
I don’t blame yous for giving him the chop. If it was an Ipswich player doing that after being beaten 6-0, I’d be fuming. It’s unnecessary really and a kick in the face for the Charlton fans who travelled that day. Was multiple tweets too so it wasn’t an accident.

All that said, he’s a proper diehard town fan. When he signed he told the story of how at half time all his career the first thing he does is get his phone out to check our score. Can’t be too many players like that. Spelt the last day of the season in the away end at Fleetwood apparently rather than go to the Charlton game for the team paying him. It’s pretty poor really but I guess he’s grown up at our club as a fan, then as a player last season, and that as amazing as it is for him seeing his boyhood team promoted, it must also be sore that we didn’t keep him for one more year. Especially after Bonne made the public plea last summer for town to bring him back. He’s a good egg and will score goals in a lot of teams where the service is good but his heart is clearly not going ti be truly in it for whoever he signs for.

Hope for your sake he picks Orient.
Yeah but you sent us a “useless” midfielder in Conor McGrandles and he ended up being excellent and kept us up.

Bonne fits the Bonner profile and I can see Bonner getting him back to his best.

He’s still a good organiser, on the ball he’s got a good pass through the lines on him too, he’s fairly comfortable with the ball at his feet. Left footed which managers like too.

He’s lost a bit of athleticism though through some injuries, and was never quick in the first place so he’s been had a bit on the turn against quick players. Basically if you get him running back to his own goal it’s big trouble. If you aren’t playing with a high line or ask your centre backs to aggressively compete into the midfield, it’s a good fit imo.

Ryan Broom has apparently agreed a deal with Fleetwood.

He was never signing a new deal with us and, to be honest, I'm not sure how much he's going to be missed. I love Broomy but you get the impression he thinks he's a lot better than he is, and he's definitely playing for the money now (again, I don't begrudge any player this)
