I'm bored with this season now. Time to look at flimsy "player linked with" nonsense.

Apparently we are looking at Gavin Whyte of Cardiff. Mousinho knows him from his Oxford days.

We may also make a move for local lad Tommy Leigh of Accy.

Very early days of course. Expecting to churn through plenty of "possibles".

Bristol City and Sunderland sniffing around Ben House apparently.

He needs to back this season up with another impressive one next season in my opinion and if he does, we'll not keep hold of him next summer.

Our 38 year old captain Darren Pratley has apparently agreed a one year contract extension with us.

Jack Sparkes plays his last game for us tomorrow. Don't know what he has lined up. Will never forget his goal against Harrogate last season

Obviously others will be playing their last game tomorrow, but he's the only one confirmed

Think he'll go to Torquay to be honest

No way will he drop that far
Agreed. Think he’ll be a good signing for the majority of L2 teams. His biggest issue is lack of pace, so never really going to make it as a winger and he’s been shown up positionally at L1 level. He’s a decent L2 wing back but probably needs a good covering LCB.

He’s got a cracking left foot though and he’s still very young so can’t see him dropping lower than L2. My bet is someone like FGR or Newport will take him.

Adam Jackson signs a new two year deal. A very good L1 CB when he's available, which seems to have been more this season than last (ironically enough, he went off at HT today...!). It's a good one to get sorted before the season ended because I wasn't sure we'd be able to keep him.

Alan Nixon is also linking us quite heavily to Cole Stockton.

Local press reporting we're interested in Sam Smith. I'm not sure if that's a genuine transfer rumour or just journalists putting two and two together to fill out some pages.

He was genuinely one of the very few players that stood out to me this season. He was excellent in the game against us at the game at Pride Park and similarly in the game at your place - he scored too.

Surprised that he would be dropping a level, but I guess I've only seen two games of his entire career.

We've been linked with a few players already - Clark Robertson and Darnell Fisher seem like lazy links to me, but who knows. Both players look a prolonged spell in the treatment room.

El Mizouni and Lee Bonis too, but both would require fees which possibly rules us out until the EFL give us the green light.

Yes, Robertson is decent but seemingly made out of balsa wood. Would be an OK backup but you just can't rely on him being fit.

And bizarrely signed by the Cowley's to replace Jack Whatmough who they didn't fancy offering a new two year deal based on his injury record.

I'd be amazed if he ends up at Derby, Warne link or not. Never really got going here and sure we never saw him at his best.

We're in the market for at least three, perhaps four centre backs this summer. Davies, Stearman and Chester will be leaving. No idea on Forsyth, but I'd imagine he stays on for another year. If all four go then I'd imagine we sign four centre backs as a priority.

I'm half expecting Richard Wood to get a year despite his age.

I suspect Sam Smith, like Alfie, is about to be linked with all and sundry.

The joys of being a small club and having a player do relatively well for a couple of years.

We've tried to sign Bonis a couple of times. From memory, he signed a new five year deal last season and were asking for silly money in the end (well, for us, maybe not for you!).

We'll be keeping an eye on Forest's survival in the PL because of Harry Toffolo and I suspect we will also have promotion clauses in the Archibald (Orient) and Jones (Wrexham) deals as well.

Dale Taylor is being rumoured for us, we do have close ties to Forest, not sure if he is one of Sproson's clients!

Alfie May being linked now seems very plausible on the back of recent news - 43 goals in the last two seasons at this level. Not sure what the fee for him would be, but I know he's pushing for a move in order to secure a big contract which is understandable given his age and form.

Wrexham also interested, but I'd have to assume that's more papertalk. Mullins reportedly earns £4.5k a week which isn't bad, but I'd assume May will be looking for at least double that out of his next move.

May isn't on a great wage at Cheltenham, he signed his new deal before hitting form last season, so he'll want something similar to that.

Wrexham is the lazy link, Barnsley is the logical link, and so is just about anyone in the top 6 of this division and bottom 8 or so of the Championship. We'll let him go for around £300k - it's a bit of an open secret that he agreed to stay last year with the promise of being let go this. He's also 30 in July, so is not getting any younger.

Either way, he's a Cheltenham legend now and, regardless of how good Aidan Keena is (and he's looked fantastic recently), we're going to bloody miss him.

We’ve given Gary Woods a new 1 year deal, prompting a melt down from some people on Twitter, which made me chuckle. He’ll most likely be number two to whoever we bring in to replace Blackman.

He’s a very good keeper. I was surprised when you managed to sign him.

What’s the latest with Jevani Brown?

Again, nobody really knows apart from those at the club.

But by all accounts, he's been offered a new deal, and will all depend on his court case in July. If he doesn't serve jail time, I think he'll sign, which would be a massive boost and basically a new signing, again

Ian "Moose" Abrahams is linking us with Omar Bugiel.

Not sure what to think about that to be honest.

Really nice lad, will be popular with your fans and certainly works hard. Is he good enough for League 1? I highly doubt it tbh, unless he’s improved a lot.
