Gary Madine has gone back to Wednesday. Not particularly bothered. Seemed to get a lot of praise for doing very little.

Have any of our strikers done anything though? They've all been as wank as each other.

Jason Holt should sign on loan from Hearts shortly....to join our abundance of Scotts. No idea about him, apparently he was a hot prospect, still only 21 and out of contract in the summer. Sounds like he's yet another midfielder though...we already have too many of those!

cloughs said he'd like 2 more strikers in permanently before deadline day and another midfielder on loan (with a view to a permanent) who is presumably Holt.

Crawley have signed Lee Fowler. I saw him on the bench at Nuneaton but refused to believe he was a player because he was so fat.

Jake Kean (GK) on loan from Blackburn for the remainder of the season.

Happy with that. Excellent signing. Still think we need a Striker and a Midfielder though.

Curtis Thompson's signed a new contract till 2017. Excellent news. Probably the best unknown young player in the league so it's great to get him signed up before everyone realises how good he is (really good).

Drew Talbot has gone to Plymouth on loan for the remainder of the season. Should be a good move for him that and a chance to build some fitness.

He's Dean Saunders adopted son, it's no surprise. He's had a million clubs in the past few years.

Hearts are my Scottish team and here are what the Jambos think of the move

cheers, was reading a guys post on our forum (he collects views into one post on our games and signings from opposition fans), some mixed responses. Will be interesting to see how he does but really not sure why we have signed another central midfielder when we currently have: Doyle, Wallace, Reed, Baxter, Scougall, Adams, Coutts, Diego, Dimaio, McGinn and Cuvelier whose favoured positions are all center-mid or AM

£5M and he's yours :£
It's funny because we would never pay £5 million for him (or probably anyone these days)

However, if he is the best you've got and is the key to your promotion then his value to you is probably far higher. How much would you earn from promotion? No disrespect meant but you're top of the league but your gates are piss-poor: 8,000 average and that's lifted by your match with Bristol City. Why aren't the Cotswold massive pouring in through the turnstiles? Odd. There's more than that at B&Q most weekends.

Our Chairman has said that promotion is worth £5-6M to us.

The attendance thing was done to death on TFF. 8,000 is indee dpoor considering our position and the quality of football we are playing but probably above average for us over the last 15 years. Ticket prices are high (still £25 at the County Ground), a lengthy Summer court case over ownership gave us an uncertain future and a lot of season ticket holders didn't renew and there's just been a general sense of apathy towards the football club ever since Paolo di Canio left. It's a massive shame, as this group of players are brilliant and playing the best football seen in SN1 since the days of Glenn Hoddle but there's not really much more our Chairman nor the team can do to get more bums on seats.

Interesting. Genuinely wasn't taking the piss. Swindon were probably the friendliest game for us last season. Even the police were good-natured. And who could forget the best burgers in the world and the away bar? Would be good to see you back up in the Championship.

We've signed George Evans on loan from Man City 'till the end of the season.

Still no Van Veen though.

Jamie Murphy and Tel Kennedy have signed new contracts with us. Very pleased with both but Murphy in particular, especially as some papers were reporting Wigan were after him, finally think we may be stretching our muscles financially since the prince's arrival.

We made a bid for Romaine Vincelot at Orient earlier in the window, still interested supposedly.

Doyle to Blunts gathering a bit of pace. We are also rumoured to be after a lad on loan from Spurs

Forte to Rotherham is doing the rounds.

It wouldn't be deadline line day without Evans desperately trying to sign a striker. He might as well just stay put, Evans will only get bored of him in a month or so when he'll inevitably be loaned out to a team in our league.
