Been very quiet with us so far..
Pete Rourke linked us to Jon Nolan from Chesterfield and Twitter has linked us to Matt Smith of Fulham
Matt Smith would be a cracking signing but surely he would be very expensive.

Nouble released, not surprised and not that bothered, and Cargill gone back to Bournemouth.
Very surprised and very disappointed with Cargill, he looks very good and has been our best defender since he got fit.
Bit of a shit that.

Cargill wasn't that good, he was ok. He was a better partner for Ehmer than Oshilaja was, but that's not saying much. Herd can fill in there for saturday if needs be, he was good at CB against Charlton.

Set to sign Celtic defender Eoghon O'Connell on loan, meant to be highly rated.

Ah, I must have been mixing him up with somebody else.

Edit: In response to Agombar Stool about Ben Gladwin because I forgot to add the quote.:gmc:

We had him for about three or four games last season and he was pretty shit. He is highly thought of up there though so I would imagine he just had a bit of a shitter with us.

Fryatt has been injured for absolutely ages, doubt he is fit now and even if he is, I doubt he'd last long.

One of my favourite players growing up though, he was quality.

We've had a few that were crap for others on loan but came here and done well. George Evans for one was awful apparently for Crewe and poor for scunny, came here and was phenomenal, we'd have gone up if he didn't sign for Reading.

Hopefully the same happens again, otherwise we're in the shitter!

Someone on Twitter reckons Paterson's going on loan to Walsall from us but has since deleted the tweets, would be a very decent signing for them that. Replacement for Forde.

Yes, managed to get a ticket on the Stratton Bank before they sold out. Tickets went on sale to season ticket holders at 5.30 on Friday and had sold out by Monday afternoon. Not that it is a surprise that they went quickly. Does the School still do matchday parking?

No worries fella.

You coming to the CG next month?

Let's hope they've cleaned out the porta bogs. Hoping for a Rovers-style drenching!

Jamie Paterson?!?

Fuck me, he's far too good for this league. I'd kill to have him back, I even made a video about him when he left originally

Yeah, he never even plays for us anymore, he started well but has been bang average/not even played ever since. Wouldn't be surprised if he ended up out on loan mate.

To me it seemed far fetched at first because he's obviously Championship quality - but the teams who would want him, your Rotherham's and such, are your direct rivals in the table. Makes sense for him to come to League 1 - that'd be a cracking signing if we can get him back.

How long is left on his contract?

We need a forward that can play just behind and Robinson is certainly in the market for one. Paterson is definitely one I wouldn't mind us looking at if he's available but I think we're after a permanent in that position.

He only signed in the summer mate, 2 and a half years. He's played out wide for us because as good as he was for Huddersfield he's not going to displace Tomlin who's without doubt one of the best and most talented players I've ever seen at Ashton Gate.

Exactly mate, he was Huddersfield's best player last season and is still really young, he's clearly a very good player and we have a squad full of some really, really good individuals yet we find ourselves where we are. It's pretty shocking really, if we sign another winger I think Pato will come down here.

If it does rain and they put out buckets to collect water then it would be more than in our last league game in the Stratton Bank when the bogs had no water running whatsoever. The Porta bogs would also be a step up.

Let's hope they've cleaned out the porta bogs. Hoping for a Rovers-style drenching!

Fair enough, I've just realised we already have 5 loan players in at the moment which I think is the maximum that can play so doubt we'd even be considering Paterson, shame.

Byrne's a cracking signing for you mind, your team on player is very good, bound to get going eventually.

I've said it all along though, we desperately lack depth.

We've made a couple of good signings but we've lost Lookman, Fox, Foley and Botaka who has gone to the African nations so effectively we've only brought in players to replace the ones that have gone. 4 players out, 4 players in and ultimately whatever way you look at it, we are weaker without Lookman.

That being said, Tony Watt has returned from Hearts and if he can get going and get his head right, he can comfortably be the best player in this league by some distance. Ricky Holmes is also expected to be on the bench on Saturday after 2 months out so hopefully we can pick up.

Lovely footballer, the boy has skills.
Defensively hopeless and tactically naive. Physically lacking for league 1 at the moment but he's worth having just for the passing, vision and beautiful football stuff. Gutted he's going to you peasants, you won't appreciate him.

Thanks for the write up Aber.

I'm hoping him and Gladwin are going to link up well and increase our creativity.

Us peasants appreciate anything at the moment as our current side are fucking useless!

Thinking about it, it's a bit weird. He's not exactly what I would want in a relegation battle. Luxury player is unfair because he's better than that but you get the gist. Can't play in a two either.
Look at this absolute filth tho...

We've been linked to signing Ivan Toney on loan, really hope it's not true as we don't need another striker.

We have far more important positions to sign people for, why on earth we'd get another striker is beyond me.

Did Chelsea not recall Colkett?

Could Bristol Rovers not have just kept him on loan until the end of the season? Just seems a bit pointless from a Chelsea perspective.
