Hoping the likes of Blackburn and Wigan are interested, get a bidding war going for old ginger bollocks. Heard he's on £6k a week here so will price out a lot of clubs.

Hoping we don't, turning 30 soon. Grigg for the first time in 18 months finally seems to be approaching full fitness. Started 12 games and scored 7 despite not being 100% so positive signs.

Not impressed with Toneys performances but 12 starts and 6 goals surprisingly. Midfielders are scoring, so spending money on an old striker with no re-sale value doesn't seem wise to me. Powell and Colclough can cover upfront and both got goals in them.

You would also have to try and bin him off next season if you get promoted.

Cook knows and likes him but you could do better, he's no different to Grigg.

Don’t rule us out just yet. Takeover is meant to be finalised within a fortnight....
I'd still expect a Scunthorpe or a Wigan to be easily able to match you though, and as a player you'd think if he had any ambition he'd go for a team with a good chance of promotion.

That takeover has been going on since the summer. We'll have to wait and see.

I think we have to acknowledge it'll be hard to keep hold of Doyle.

Jack Byrne has said he wants to stay, but again, teams higher up the food chain might have a say.

Someone who has I suspect flown under the radar for many is defender Kean Bryan, on loan from Man City. The way he has slotted in as a young player and looked as class as he has is seriously impressive. Reminds me of the way Ryan Bertrand took to league football at a canter when he came on loan to us. If we have to lose the other two, I really hope we extend Bryan's loan.

Sounds like progress has been made and we're not far away from an announcement. Don't know if it's anything to do with Mr Lemsangam, but the supporters' bar in the new stand will FINALLY be open on Boxing Day!!

Couple of rumours - Pompey join Bolton and Shrewsbury chasing Plymouth midfielder Toumani Diagouraga. His contract is up in January. Has been massive in their mini revival.
Also apparently interested in Joe Ironside from Kiddleminster. Got 20 goals last season for Nuneaton and has 6 in 11 for Kiddleminster so far.

Apparently we're signing Hildeberto Pereira on loan from Legia Warsaw. Played 22 times for Forest last year, looks fucking rapid so get him in

Announcement due soon re Latics signing Dundalk attacking midfielder Patrick McEleney.

Wellens describes him as ‘the best footballer in the ROI league’, for whatever that is worth..

We've had 4 from over there recently.

- Sean Maguire is absolute class.
- Daryl Horgan is Championship quality but is struggling to start with others ahead of him.
- Kevin O'Connor is a bit naive but getting better and I think he'll come good.
- Andy Boyle could maybe do a job at this level but doesn't have the physical attributes to play regularly in the Championship.

I don't think Irish fans rate McEleney anywhere near as high as Maguire or Horgan but if he's somewhere in between those four then I would expect him to do a job.

I guess we will find out soon enough.

He’s supposed to be a flair player, capable of dribbling past multiple players, scoring worldies and being two footed. Was also supposed to be their stand out player quite often in their European games.

I’m not naive enough to base his ability on YouTube videos, despite him looking impressive on them, but I’m optimistic none the less.

It’s a free transfer anyway, so not much to lose but a lot to gain.

Been linked over the weekend with Jamie Walker at Hearts and Louis Moult at Motherwell. Both out of contract in the summer so we’re fishing for a bargain. Good news that Cook appears to agree with the majority that we need a quick winger and striker. Also we were the L1 club that was sniffing around Marcus Maddison in the summer according to Posh’s Chairman. Didn’t bid, just made an enquiry.
Bid of 300k in for Walker according to the Daily Express.

Just seen on a Bury forum that David Ball to them is a done deal. A reply opined that they don't want him cos he's crap. Fair enough then. Deal off.

TBF, I'd be gutted if he left us now he's finally got a run in the team. His whole game is class and our upturn in form sinc he started playing is no coincidence.

True, it was the utter confidence of the statement "done deal" along with the following reply, something like "yes, I knew about Ball" that surprised me. There is not a sniff of him going anywhere on any Millers page TBF.

Setback on the Doyle deal as he’s discovered a blood clot which could keep him out for months.

We will probably still try and sort some sort of deal out, but most importantly hope he gets it sorted sooner rather than later.

A host of Championship clubs are reportedly after our winger Hakeeb Adelakun. We're apparently demanding 1M but with his contract ending at the end of the year, I can't see us getting that.

Our latest emergency keeper, Kelle Roos, is going back to Derby. Done a good job for us, but the logic must be that Remi Matthews is returning, presumably first on emergency seven day and then season long. Matthews is clearly an upgrade on what we have, and if he does come back for the rest of the season this is very good news.

Scunthorpe trying to buy Tony McMahon after unsuccessfully trying to get Vincelot and successfully getting McArdle in the summer. Bit weird as he’s out of contract in the summer I think. He’s pony in defence but he’ll make and score goals consistently, swings and roundabouts really.

I'd keep him, but only because we are light on numbers. We looked far more mobile without him going forward today, whilst he has a lot of assists most are from set pieces and he slows our play down from open play, and gets beaten to easily to any half decent winger. I'd get rid in the summer though, nowhere near good enough should we go up. Even if we don't go up I think we need better in the future.

What is it with Scunthorpe and our older players, there are far better right backs out there who they must be able to afford.

Rumours about Ryan Leonard again. That would surprise me given Sheffield United's previous interest, and they must be as desperate as ever now that Coutts is out for the season.
