Scott Golbourne in on loan till January - good business that as he's what we've been missing now that Lewington is getting hammered by the fans for being awful and Tilney apparently had a bust up with the manager.
Aidan Nesbitt, undisclosed - don't know enough about him, his stats aren't the greatest but Celtic fans rate him highly and are surprised they sold him.
Alex Gilbey, undisclosed fee - wow, what a signing. I don't know if he just wasn't getting played or was homesick or what, but I can't actually believe he's joined us from a potential promotion rival (if we can actually start playing better than poor that is)

All in all not a bad days business for the Franchise
Scott Golbourne is Championship quality defensively but whenever he gets near the halfway line he has a panic attack and passes the ball sideways. Probably not too dissimilar to Lewington if I remember rightly?

As long as he's quicker than Lewington, he can pass sideways all he wants  It's become painfully obvious this and last season that the already slow Lewie is slowing up even more.

Golbourne looks fairly capable in the few clips I've seen of him. Comes across a very intelligent and pleasant bloke in his interview so far, too.

Latest recruit is Queensy Menig.

Ex Ajax youth, capped by Holland at every level from U16-U21, and scored 15 in 66 for FC Zwolle from midfield. Ranieri's Nantes' have just signed him and loaned him out for the season.

Unlike the other two signed today, this guy looks to have some very good pedigree.

We've signed free agent Agon Mehmeti until the end of the season. A 27 year old forward who played for Stabaek (Norwegian top flight Tippeligaen) then Genclerbirligi (Turkish Super Lig) last season. Spent most of his career at Malmo, (winning 2 Swedish top flight Championships) but has also played for Palermo (Series A), Novaro (Serie B) and Olhanense (Portugese Primeira Liga).

Has scored 54 in 229 appearances in club football and has played in the Champions League group stages in 2014 and 2015. He has played 12 times scoring 4 for Sweden u21s and played 3 times for Albania after switching before FIFA changed the rules.

He worked with Pep Clotet at Malmo so that is how we got him.

Edit: Don't know how it will work out but will trust in Pep. He has been right so far with the likes of Ricardinho.

Are you able to play him before January as you've signed him after the window on loan?

Useless from what I've see so far. The fastest I've seen him move is when he was subbed. Not what we need in midfield.

Get back to the League 2 forum, Northampton will be down there with you next year and you can both be tinpot together where I don't have to read it

We've signed former Gillingham midfielder Josh Wright (subject to medical which I'm sure will be fine).

We have just signed Lewis Mcgugan until January. I remember him scoring some ridiculous goals for forest but that must have been 5 years ago now! Seems like he has barely played last few years, hopefully bangs in a few for us!

Very good player on his day but also very lazy!

Can score some crackers though like you say.

If his heads in the game he's way too good for that division, could be an immense signing for Northampton. He's a double figures goalscoring midfielder in the Championship.

Potentially a very good signing for Northampton but without wishing to poo on it, if the likes of Watford, Forest and Wednesday couldn't get him interested I doubt a stint in League One is going to boost his motivation.

He actually did ok in the first season with us getting into double figures in a poor side not playing that well.

Never really had a chance since then and just started kicking off and complaining.

We signed Clayton Lewis from Auckland City the other day, we're going global.

Knight-Percival and Kilgallon sign contract extensions, I’m a big NKP fan when he’s at his best and Kilgallon has been excellent this season. Hopefully it’ll chill out the moaners who thought not competing with Scunny on signing an aging McArdle on double wages for the next three years was a massive error, although I’ve not heard much about it for a while.

Us and Peterborough looking to sign Bruno Andrade from Boreham Wood. Ex QPR player who didn't quite make it at league level. Winger scored 8 in 15 so far in the National League. Going to have to get rid of a few attacking players as that'll leave us with 7 wingers

We're reportedly close to signing Simon Church on a free.

Weird one but can't play much worse than our current strikers are.
