Yes you are according to our local press, along with a few championship and prem sides.

If that's the case then we probably don't have much chance. Good to see that we're trying to compete in the market at that level, though. We'll be getting good money for Clarke and Lowe so hopefully we invest it wisely.

I've not seen Bruno linked with any PL sides? Only Villa and Portsmouth.
I'd heard Burnley were looking at him, but you know what rumours are like mate LOL!!
One tweet about DC by WM hack and the whole thing goes crazy!

Us and a couple of other Championship clubs are supposedly looking at Ryan Tafazolli on a free, why was he released if clubs higher up the league are looking at him? Just refused to sign a new deal?
Same happened when he was at Mansfield didn't it? Ran his contract down but could get a better offer.

Sounds like he's gone to the Billy Jones school of transfers.

Thats their right. If the clubs wanna gamble they can give longer contracts. Players down the chain cant be making set for life money so gotta get what they can when they can. They then enter the workforce with zero experience of real life. Shit they only work a few hours a day and get paid to kick a football. Not really too beneficial to most jobs. Lucky bastards.

WBA open talks with the Cowley sisters. Really weird that Danny and Nicky would go the effort of talks just to turn them down as the only job they will go for is the West Ham one and they have just moved their parents and sofas up to Lincoln.

Glad he's gone , poor distribution , poor header of a ball , injured every season , great last ditch tackler & brave though.

Preston , Hull , & ironically Luton ( where he was sent off last season ) are apparently interested , not a Championship player imo , League 1 at best.

Heard negative reviews before about players who have turned out decent but I'm not liking the sound of this guy, can't see how he'd improve us, I'd rather keep Huntington as backup.

Help yourself Luton.

I wouldn’t take any notice it’s the default mode of posh fans when someone leaves the club they instantly become shite

A bit of a mysterious one, nothing official from anyone and another journo (Grimsby fan who covered LCFC in the past for The Lincolnite) has said we've not been approached and should all be cleared up tomorrow (signing a new deal?)

Its all very odd some saying he's going and some saying he's signing a new contract!
Found out later on I guess.

Club statement:

We have had no official approach from any club to speak with Danny and Nicky.

The board talk regularly with Danny and Nicky who remain totally committed and focused on preparations for next season in our new adventure in League One.

Just when it turns out the Cowleys might not be leaving and you feel like your Wednesday has been ruined Lincoln decide to re-brand their journey to a new "adventure".

Also "Grimsby fan who covered LCFC in the past for The Lincolnite", it's the reverse GG. Aka GiftGods.

The moral of the story is don't believe a bloke called Nick Mashiter.
No it's not. What he's reported isn't technically incorrect.

Just because there's not been an official approach to the club doesn't mean they haven't held talks.

The key word in the statement is 'official'. I don't think anything official is likely to come in unless he's definitely their man, which may or may not still happen.

Despite people fretting over the weekend, it never seemed a go'er to me. When we got promoted from the NL, they could've gone to Barnsley. A team with a top end budget for L1 with aspirations of getting promoted. They didn't go because they felt a two league jump would be too big.

This time, we get promoted from L2, they're linked with WBA, a good budget for the league, aspirations of promotion etc but, again, it's a two league jump.

If they weren't comfortable with the Barnsley job, I'm not sure why they'd be comfortable with the WBA one because the situations are pretty much the same.

It's nothing new. They've no doubt held talks with a handful of Clubs over the last 2 years or so.

Informal not formal, get what you're saying.

From the echo article sounds very much like they're stopping and as Luke says they only go up one level at a time , so next summer more likely in many ways but again we will see.
Maybe it's just the bloke unfortunate name that makes me disbelieve the story dunno.

Former 'voice of fans' in the echo and colleague isn't happy, he reckons they're still definitely leaving.

Would that not be tapping him up?

Probably, but we all know it happens. How often do you see clubs waiting to make an official approach for a manager before talking to him?

If WBA are interesting it’s almost certain they will enquire after that statement.

Thing is, what if Cowley gets offered £1m a year contract? That’s reasonable for a club that big and imagine turning that down.

We have signed Carlton Morris on a season loan from Norwich.
He was with us last time we were relegated, played in about 8 games but was never fully fit.
From what I remember he was ok without being outstanding but we were complete rubbish at the time.

I know he had a decent season at Shrewsbury and he got injured quite badly in the play off final against us so didn't play much last season.

Hoping the lad as put his injuries behind him and puts a bit of pressure on Smith, Proctor and Vassell, assuming Yates is off to Carlisle or Swindon.

Its exactly what happened with Jones to Stoke, was apparently agreed long before it actually happened.

Jones allegedly had Stoke representatives at the Luton vs Barnsley game on New Years day before Rowett had even been sacked by Stoke, his Mrs apparently had them in a executive box as "friends".

Ex Shrimper Gary Hooper has uploaded a photo of the training ground and staying in the hotel the club put all the new signings in on his Instagram story... Can't see that happening though wages be far too high.

Connor Ogilvie has signed a permanent 2 year deal after being released by Spurs. Pleased with that - between him, Max Ehmer and Gabby Zakuani we have 3 very capable centre backs.

Coventry have signed our back up goalie Ben Wilson on a 3 (three??!) year contract. Came to us with a very dodgy reputation, by his third game here, he’d been lobbed from the half way line and dropped a cross at the feet of the striker to cost us 3 points against Gillingham, must have a top draw agent.
