FarehamPompey nelsonpfc seems Clarke may be our Webster replacement. I've seen his stats, looks decent on the face of it, will he make the step up comfortably do you think?

Both are excellent imho. Clarke will be a very able Webster replacement for you and should excel in the Championship. Weird to think they were both in our defence when we failed to get promoted from League Two back in 2015/2016. Nothing to do with them though as they both looked way too good for that level back then.

Looks like Lowe to Wigan and Marquis in is on. Mixed feelings there..
Not fussed. Not sure how we are going to shoe horn them all in, but...
9s - Marquis, Harrison, hawkins
10s - Pitman, Evans, Cannon, Dennis
WM - Harness, Curtis, Williams
Might has well hand us the title!! lol

Yeah that's definitely an embarrassment of riches, but we're gonna have some very unhappy players at some point!

Source?

Different positions, but unsure if Marquis will replace Lowe’s goals and assists.

Neil Allen tweeted it, then deleted it quickly. So it's *probably* on..

Marquis could be the difference though. Having a 20 goal striker plus the goals we have around him is pretty tasty..

Not a wind up... Lowe is travelling to Wigan as we speak. £2.5m and Marquis should be a Pompey player by the weekend.

Anthony Forde has signed on a 2 year deal. At Rotherham last season but know little about him other than looking at his stats.

Edit: Further good news: Rob Dickie has signed a new 2 year contract and Karl Robinson has agreed a new 3 year contract.

Also, it is being reported we've agreed a deal for 22 year old Leicester centre-back Elliott Moore. And on a phone in programme on Radio Oxford, KR has confirmed a centre back is coming in for a medical tonight.

Nearly 2 million :eyes: I guess our ability to take the mick out of Sunderland paying however many millions for Grigg has dwindled a bit now..

Sad to see Lowe leave, but we're looking pretty strong now!

Well, we've shelled out somewhere between £3M and £4M but we've roughly brought in twice as much in sales.

I'd be interested to know what kind of package we've given Marquis? We've either broken our salary ceiling or maybe offered a big bonus or pay increase if we go up?

All in all though the squad looks much better balanced than last season with plenty of cover all round the pitch. Roll on Saturday!

Yeah great signing. Got a some very good strength in depth in the forward line.

Harry Anderson's signed a new long term deal here although we haven't specified a contract length, which seems to be a club policy this season.

We initially signed him on loan from Posh at 18, four years ago, then make it permanent the following year on a 3-year deal and you always forget he's only 22. From a technical point of view, he still plays a bit like a young winger but physically he's well above his age.

Not your typical young, fancy winger. He's more strength, power and pace. Chips in with 5-8 goals a season as well.

I wasn't a fan of Forde at all whilst with us. He never tries to beat his man and would rather go for an early cross and his crossing was bang average and he never had lightning pace either, never a winger imo.

Straight shoot-out between us and Lincoln for Tyler Walker if rumours are to be believed. Think he'll choose them tbh.

Dare i suggest you've swapped a one hit wonder if Lowe for a striker who guarantees 20 goals a year at that level. Think you've had by far the better end of that deal.

We're definitely happy with our dealing Matt, but it's unfair to label Lowe a one hit wonder I think.

He's not too long out of non-League and he's improved massively over the past two years. My prediction is that he'll be a success in the championship. He's got speed, bags of skill and an eye for goal.

Would have loved him to stay but he clearly wanted to leave. Very happy to have Marquis though, obviously.

Joe Shaughnessy St Johnstone Captain and Liam Ridgewell signing today. That’s two SPL captains we’ve had this summer and a SPL player of the year

Hi L1 fans.

Can anyone who knows give some opinions on Zouma Bakayogo and Sam Slocombe please? We’ve signed both today. Good enough for NL?

Also, Lincoln/Cov fans - our local paper guy is reporting Walker is off to the Imps.

Our fans embarrassing themselves on Twitter as per giving the biggun to Lincoln for the last few days about how we were 100% signing Walker only for him to sign for them, lol.

We'll need to pull something out of the bag now else we'll be in for a very boring season. Our front line will do well to score 35 goals between them.

Coventry fans are fuming

Slocombe is another very good signing btw. He's top end L2/bottom end L1 level.
Yeah apparently they're the much bigger club and players shouldn't want to play for such a small club.
Looks like the rumours of him watching the friendly on Monday between us and forest were right.
Still need a few more but this fills a big hole in our squad currently.

Zoom seems very injury-prone these days. He’s still got a fair turn of pace, but his defensive frailties got exposed a few times last season. Unsure how he’ll fare at Notts, but don’t expect too much.
