Apparently Jordan Graham incoming from wolves, had him on loan last season, happy with this if true

I think we’re signing keeper Nathan Baxter from Chelsea and
a CB from Reading Akin Odimayo.

Got George Williams ex FGR on trial

Adam Jackson - centre half joins from Hibernian formerly of Barnsley. Hibs fans seem to think a solid signing.

Any Accrington fans on here?

Signed young Ryan Cassidy from us on loan.

Is a strong powerful striker so hopefully we do well for you guys.

A couple of Twitter accounts are linking us with Alex Palmer a GK from West Brom on loan, was at Plymouth last season.

Adam Jackson appears to be another decent signing for us and, you'd imagine, will be the last of the defenders to sign. Maybe short of a LB but Edun can play there even if he is a CM.

We need a GK, a left footed wide player and a ST at the very least now.

Palmer seems very highly rated at the WBA end and potentially one of two loanees coming from there. How was he last season for you, Plymouth fans? Presumably decent with the ball at his feet if Lowe's signed him.

Palmer superb. Thought he would end up at a low end Championship or top L1 side this season.

Know Lowe thinks Cooper is our number 1 this season but if Palmer's available for Lincoln I would be disappointed if we didn't go for him.

Signed Ethan Chislett from Aldershot, continuing our general policy of taking a punt on the best young non-League players around London. Their POTY last season and a good strike rate from midfield will give us more attacking options there. Allegedly much higher clubs including Chelsea were sniffing around but he came to us for regular football, though that may just be agent/tabloid hype.

we are linked with Palmer too, we’ve let Lawlor out on a season loan so we do need another keeper and there is the Darren Moore factor

We're the same with Appleton, who was presumably his Head Coach around this time last year. Have two or three of his old team-mates as well I think.

I agree, I also thought he would go to Championship or a top league 1 side likely to go up. I guess Lowe has decided that we’re gong with Cooper, and to bring back Palmer would stunt his growth as it were.

Watching the highlights reel of Alex Gilbey on the Charlton twitter is reminding me how much I miss him being in our side, what a player.

The three year contract will help

Won’t mean a lot to him if the club ceases to exist in a month or two.

He’ll find another club easy enough I suppose.

I just hope he's certain that something is going on behind the scenes that will save Charlton. He'll definitely find another club easily enough if the worst happens and I hope we'd be at the top of his list.

You've gotten another excellent player from us though, I just hope this time you can actually use him in a way to showcase his talent. For us, I hope that the figure is a decent amount so that we can replace him with similar quality quickly.

I suppose with 10 months left on his contract it was cash in now if he was insistant on going.

I just hope we got all the transfer money up front
Given the circumstances you would assume that your club would insist on that, otherwise they are guilty of negligence. You would also assume the player would want any signing on bonus up front too.

Bobbin, I have not been following matters in SE7 as closely as I should. What is actually happening, how serious do you think it is and what do you think the upshot will be?

I honestly don't even know where to begin, there are so many twists and turns every day I'm not even sure anymore.

No-one is sure who actually owns us or who is funding us, if anyone. We're under a full transfer embargo and then we're under a soft embargo. We've got a bloke who's been bankrupt twice and a lawyer who's overseen the liquidation of two football clubs claiming they own the club, but the lawyer was yesterday sacked by our "owners".

The whole thing is corrupt and been one long-con.

In short, I really don't know where we stand at this current moment. We're by no means safe, expulsion is still a possibility as is administration which at the moment is looking best case scenario. So not good at all but yesterday's events I think can be seen as a positive in that Farnell has been removed and the supposed takeover by his puppet is off, its becoming evident that it was critical they were removed and can't be allowed anywhere near the club.

We've also got the issue of our previous owner, Roland who still owns all the land and is asking for a completely unrealistic price for it.

We've been allowed to sign two players now, Alex Gilbey and Conor Washington so I'm hoping that as it stands, expulsion is currently off the table but we need someone to come in and save us ASAP otherwise it's just a matter of time.

Many thanks for that. Are you old enough to remember the US parody comedy SOAP? If so, what you described reminds me of that, and the annoying theme tune is now in my head. Thanks!

The bit I am really struggling to understand is how you have money to buy two players.

No-one knows for sure, local journo has said there is more in his paper tomorrow so may find out then.

I believe initially we were under a "soft embargo" which we were placed under in January whereby we could only spend based on last years budget, so can sign players providing we move some on etc. It seems that once the EFL announced that 3 people had failed the owners and directors test we were placed on a full embargo, now that those 3 have seemingly been removed from the club and we have reverted back to previous ownership we've also reverted back to the soft embargo and presumably these two have been funded due to the out of contract and loan players leaving plus the outgoing sales which I'm sure will follow shortly.

All speculation of course, there could also be more going on in the background we don't know about.

The fact there is literally no communication from the club at all to try and clarify anything at all makes it all the more troubling.
