Tom O'Connor resigns on loan from southampton, was fantastic in his spell here last season so extremely happy with this. Just means one loan player will have to sit out games as we now have 6 on loan

Gobsmacked at that after the other signings we've made. Excellent business right there, and our best ever "transfer window" that I can recall.

Never a dull moment with SE in charge, from memory, he brought in around 85 players in his 41 months in charge here. Imagine if there were no transfer windows and he could trade all season long!!!!!

Started off like a house on fire at Lincoln too.

He was the same with us too. But once other sides worked out that if you sit on him he is ineffective he faded badly. Looked good on the eye but actually produced next to nothing that affected the game.

True mate. But at the end of last season, and when Covid kicked in, we offered no conracts to any out of contract players (bar Hanlan and Mandron I think) so we were left with a squad of 7. That included 2 goalkeepers and a youth player.

We now have I think 21 or 22 players. 6 of those are loanees, and we have 2 (possibly 3) long term injuries since the season began. Like a lot of teams, we have gone for mainly youth.

So it really has been a case of necessity. But the quality of some of our signings (for us) is what I'm impressed with. Just hope Steve can get them to gel and they play to their potential. Early signs are promising.

We have a very young squad now. Last Saturday against Blackpool, our 2 CB's and 2 CM's were aged 20, 20, 20 and 19. Would never have happened a season or 2 ago. I think a fair few teams have gone this way and I think its very refreshing.

Signed Charlie Seaman, right back who was at Bournemouth. Loaned him straight out to Maidstone with an immediate call back clause.

Danny Rose will probably suit Northampton style of play, but I’m not unsure if he’s good enough for L1.

Probably the right thing for all concerned though, only a year left and we’ve apparently got a good deal, we are striker heavy.

Hope he does well.

Never looked good enough for League 2 nevermind League 1. Will do well to find a club above the Conference IMO. A rare mistake in recruitment from Wellens and Jewell.

Marcus Maddison signed yesterday.

Mixed feelings about that one. Will see how it goes.

We’ve just signed Tyrese Fornah on loan from Nottingham Forest. Strange time to announce it.

Supposed to be signing Robbie Gotts from Leeds.

Bielsa reckons he’s ‘phenomenal’.

We've signed Jamie Soule, striker, on a short term loan from WBA to cover fellow WBA loanee, and the currently injured, Callum Morton.

Decent record in the PL2 last season - 7 goals, 6 assists in 13 games.

I think Appleton said yesterday they'll be covering all his wages.

There are rumours down here that we're trying once more to loan Ben Thompson from Millwall.

He propelled us to the top of the table a couple of seasons ago until Millwall took him back halfway through the season. We've not been the same team since.

He seems to have lost his first team place up there this season so it's possible. Could really change the mood here if it happened.

Loan deal for Ben Thompson not happening apparently. We threw everything at it but Millwall still see him as part of the first team :eyes:

Being linked with a loan spell for 19yo left back Tolaji Bola from Arsenal. England U18 International.

Apparently played for the Gooners U23 against Ipswich the other day, so if he was spectacularly good or inept feedback would be welcome.

we've just signed Courtney Baker Richardson who was on trial with you sometime in the summer - and views on how he did with you?

Confirmed. On loan until January and takes the No.3 shirt. Hope he's as successful as Rhys Norrington-Davies last season.

Robbie Gotts, Leeds midfielder, interesting Lincoln, Charlton and Swindon for a loan spell.

We are desperate for more options in central midfield and this fella seems to be very highly thought of. We already have Jordan Stevens on loan from Leeds so hopefully we can land Gotts.

Roll on Friday 5pm. Yet again despite the club obviously needing a sale, especially in these times, it would be nice to keep Pickering, Ng, Wintle and Kirk and see where this team can go.
