gutted as I know at the end of the last season he would have made the move back to us, but brummies wouldn't let him go at the time. Great technique, bit questionable defensively at times and faded after the 10-12 games. Still a cracking signing for you.

We ended up getting Pring from Bristol City as we were told they wouldn't be letting him go

Very highly rated at Forest, can score goals and play in numerous areas which for us will be ideal. I also think with us having Grant, Bridcutt this and Walker last season, Forest trust us re our clubs relationships. Then being under an hour away from each other helps too.

They had to 'buy' their own player off us last season.

Charlton signed Akin Famewo from Norwich. He was a part of our youth set up and we sold him to them after he had an ok loan at Grimsby a few years ago.

Got talent I think and has been given more time and attention than I think he might have as he is that semi rare commodity of being a left footed centre half which seem to becoming more in fashion these days with teams playing out a bit more.

Hope he does really well as we should have a decent stake in his next move.

Sounds like we might dip into the loan market again to replace Morton, who is seems has torn a shoulder/pec muscle and might need an operation. Second opinion tomorrow but probably at least two months out.

Will need to shift a couple of fringe players out, though. Risky move, we're a small squad as it is and one of the players who'd likely head out is currently a CM covering our RB position due to Lewis' injury.
