I think it's very unlikely we'd take a midfield player who doesn't work off the ball. We play a press and everyone has to work hard. We already have a technically good player who doesn't work hard enough (Samuelsen), we don't need another one.
He's not lazy, just naive.

We play a press too, he just can't break into the team.

Is Caleb Chukwuemeka any good, Northampton fans? We've been linked with a move for him recently, though some Premier League clubs are also reportedly interested.

Dominic Thompson, 20 year old LB signs on loan from Brentford. Played 90 minutes in their quarter final victory over Newcastle in the league Cup. An Arsenal yoof product and Brentford generally don't sign crap players so hopefully he's decent.

Looks like we've signed Morgan Rogers on loan from Man City. Joined them 18 months ago for £4m+, plays across the front three.

That'll be 6 loans for us then, but Morton has been out injured since September and isn't due back until February so won't impact us for a while yet.

We would have been more likely to sign Ted Rogers over the last few seasons (RIP Ted) before the fantastic tenure of Clive Nates. Very happy at the Calibre of the signing, though hoping it doesn’t mean Johnson is going back to Forest. If Brennan also stays that could be the difference between staying where we are/play offs to missing out altogether.

Norwich and an unamed Premiership club (probably Villa based on Summer rumours) are looking to pick Chukwumeka up from us. Only problem is he's still on a youth contract despite playing a number of times this year, so I assume that means EPPP is free to roll us over?

^ He's basically getting press because he's breaking into our first team at such a young age. Tall, fairly quick, likes to dribble. He won't be first team for a number of years, but the last teenager striker to come through at this age and get appearences was Ivan Toney. It'd definitely be a case of getting him for pennies now rather than have to pay out more for him should he turn out decent later, than someone who is going to be making an impression for any tier 2 team or above.

codaplenty, so is Ched Evans actually a decent player or not?

Looks like we're bringing him in till the end of the season.

Bunch of fans going mad about it, i'm not really assed as long as he's up to the job.

Chris Lines supposedly off to Stevenage on loan, so that frees up the desperately needed squad place we need for reinforcements. Holmes is out of contract because we need to bring in more to make us competetive and he was unlucky enough to be the easiest to exit to free up space being out of contract - if we get lose a few more of the surplus to requirements that may change and allow us to offer him another contract.

Ethan Ross has gone on loan to Weymouth. Not really had a look in due to Alex Palmer and we've opted to have a 17-year old GK on the bench since he dropped a clanger against Man City U21's in the Cup.

He's better than Weymouth but loaning him there is probably about giving us flexibility to recall him outside of our transfer window.

Any good ?

Reaction seems to be mixed on him !

Yes, you better slap £10M down right now to snap him up. In all seriousness, he's obviously kicked on since we had him but this is the second time in his two club career that his agent has managed to turn his head. For us he showed great potential but performances and attitude tailed off to the point that we'd have driven him to Peterborough for free, let alone get the 6 figure fee and 25% sell on that we did.

Sounds like a good player but poor attitude?

To be fair, we were a shitshow under Russell Slade the season he came in and the football we played under Michael Jolley wasn't exactly expansive enough to get the best out of a tricky, nippy winger so it wasn't like it was entirely unjustified. His head did drop a bit with us at times, but it was his first season as a pro and the potential he did show at times was definitely deserving of the move he got despite things souring at the end of the season. I couldn't comment on his attitude at Posh though.

Take a look at his run and assist on his debut on the opening day of 17/18 in this video, for our second goal.

Good run that and nice finish by the striker !

Probably your typical winger ... great but needs confidence and a good run of form with a team that suits him.

He came on against us last season and got sent off a minute later!

Us, Oxford and Ipswich have been linked with young Irish defender Luke McNally who plays for St Patrick Athletic.

Signed Ellory Balcombe, goalkeeper from Brentford and Elliot Simeos, winger from Barnsley both on loan until the end of the season. Lumley has gone back to QPR and it looks as though Tulloch’s loan deal is being terminated due to him still being out for sometime after getting injured in his second game for us, might not be the Tulloch replacement so definitely will be a replacement for Sims

Happy with that one if it happens, not many options out there for us to try and replace Ben Pearson.

Looks like our local Radio was premature we’ve turned down both bids from PNE and QPR of 1.8m neither are close enough to our valuation.

Seems like our 3rd signing is Kieron Freeman - OOC after leaving Sheffield Utd in September. Seeing as his last game was against Spurs in the PL, God knows what he’s doing slumming it with us!

On paper looks a good signing at this level. Can't really complain with our transfer work so far.

Need a decent striker (or fill Pitman up with monkey glands) and we’re nearly there.
