Has the talk of Mullin really died down? I’ve seen him pop up a few times on Facebook this week linked with you from various sources.

Local journo who is usually very good with our stuff said earlier in the window that Mullin wasn't a target. Someone asked him again when the rumour popped up and his answer was as far as he knows he still isn't a target and suspects it's his agent at work to try and prompt another club into action.

We're putting two and two together over here and thinking we're signing 19 year old midfielder Lewis Fiorini from Man City on loan.

Started following our Twitter (an obvious sign of an impending move if there ever was one...!) and there have been rumours of a Man City loanee coming in so it kinda matches up. He's very recently signed a new 5-year deal at Man City and been part of Scotland's U21 squad since 18 by the looks of it. Was in the Dutch second division last season with NAC Breda.

Not what I've been told, being announced today or tomorrow apparently. Not a direct source to me though so I take no accountability!

Agreed, I think it is a good deal for all parties. I'd be very happy if we could get Gavin Whyte back.

The pant wetting and and suggestions he'll be worth £6m in a year on Yellowsforum has been laughable. It is the usual cricular argument whenever we sell a player where it is ignored that we also buy players and that this is the model the club follow.
Gavin Whyte would be a real statement of intent, but unlikely (sadly).

I like Atkinson, however you would think a centre half with a little more know-how might actually suit our back four. Stevens, Moore and Atkinson can't have had more than a full season of football between them before the commencement of this season so someone coming in on the rise with 50-80 games of league football behind them would tick a necessary box. We do lack leaders and this showed at times.

The jump may be too soon for him and he's not nearly as polished as Rob Dickie was toward the back end of his time. He probably needs another 6-12 months in League One to make a real stamp (despite being name in the Team of the Year, to really be considered a 'ready to go' asset in the division above). Credit to him, that's an impressive rise from non-league football.

Yes, I think it is too soon for Atkinson but I only wish him well if it happens (which looks very likely). He has the potential but a bit more experience would have been useful for him, especially the way Simms played him.

Likewise I can't really see Gavin Whyte happening but as you said we can dream. Albeit the one glimmer was that tweet he did the other day which seemed a bit out of place unless it was part of an onging discussion I missed.

Very well thought of youngster and winger Josh McPake signs for a season loan from Rangers. Impressed at Harrogate second half of last season.

Excited by this one and maybe he'll be able to afford a new pair of jeans after getting a 2 year contract with Gerrard's Gers.

Also, with that name he's going to have a built-in Rolf Harris song serenading him from the terraces.........

Alfie McCalmont - season long loan from Leeds.

Holding or attacking midfielder, N.I. international. With Oldham last season.

I like the look of him. Two very good loan deals last couple of days I think.......but time will tell

Confirmed, on the face of it a good signing - Grant replacement?

Luke McCormick has signed for Wimbledon from Chelsea. Attacking midfielder who can hopefully put the ball in the net a few times in the coming season. Something we've needed for a while!

Rovers fan here...Our best and most popular player here last season (not that that is saying much!) but he's a really good midfielder with an old head on young shoulders, committed, high energy and a good eye for goal. A lot of our fans expected him to be going to a championship club to be honest, it's gutting to see he has joined you as maybe if we had stayed up we would have been able to keep him. I'm sure he will be a success for you and enjoy him while you can.

Looking like we have to shift 5/6 before we bring anyone else in.
The Rumour that we was in for Mullin and as yet he has not gone elsewhere means that may bare fruition
Evatt said we will only bring maybe another two in and they will be quality

If we kick off with this team come August we will push for a play off with a little luck
Top 10 certain

I fucking hope not

I don’t think it is. People were talking about it on Twitter but I can’t see where it originated from anywhere.

Woke up this morning to people saying Jordan Ibe.

In short, people are fucking bored and just chucking names about.

Alan Nixon claiming we are interested in Will Boyle at Cheltenham and Jamie Robson (left back) at Dundee Utd. Haven't a clue if anything in it but we have been linked to Jamie Robson by other sources including from the Scottish end.

We had Ethan Robson on loan here season before last and he was fantastic.
Some years ago, when Sunderland were less shit, we played the "Black Kittens" in the Tinpot Trophy. Young Ethan looked a likely lad even then - should be a good signing.

If Boyle goes, it'll be back up north.

Will cost you a couple hundred k as well.

Money won't be an issue I'd have thought with selling Rob Atkinson and we've already paid a good chunk for Marcus McGuane.

What are your thoughts on him as a player?

Has the odd brainfart, but is fantastic otherwise. Get's his head on everything, strong in the tackle and not bad on the ball.

Cruelly robbed of being last season's player of the year in my view.

I don't see him leaving unless it's to be closer to home.

Any MK fans able to give an insight into Sam Nombe? We’ve just signed him from them for an undisclosed fee, so hoping he’s decent!?

He was our young player of the year a couple of years ago when he had a decent enough season with us. The rest of the time he's been out on loan, last season at Luton. I don't know how he did there though.

I would think he should be decent at league 2 level but he's not a prolific forward that's for sure. Can't really tell you much more as I can't remember seeing him play much.

I presume he wasn't in Martin's plans so it makes sense for him to go off to pastures new.

Thanks. Seems like he just needs a proper run of games to see what he can do. We seriously lacked pace up front so pleased he’s quick at least!
