Don't think anyone has made that big a deal out of it, doesn't really matter in the long run. Next departure might cause more of a stir (tho Turton could probs turn his hand to playing up front).

Checking social media out, the old Facey B and the Twatter would suggest this is an apocalyptic event.

Colclough's a goner anyway we all know that, need replacements signed within the next month so they get a good pre-season under their belt.

Looks like there is a possibility we are about to lose Jimmy Ryan to the footballing super power that is Fleetwood.

Cool.

Contract agreed with Kallum Higginbotham and just his medical to go. That will be 3 players signed all with the same Christian name but all spelt differently. Tom Naylor has confirmed he will be signing once his contract with the sheep expires on 1stof July.
Happy with our dealings so far.
Yes I think Burton will be fine next season!

If Crewe and Gillingham had signed Streete or stood any chance of signing Innos then they'd be wanking themselves silly over it.

Smurf would buy Innis just to piss Crewe fans off.
I don't know anything about Streete to be honest, but then again I don't suppose anyone outside of the Newcastle youth set up do.
As for Inniss, we had him on loan and he looked OK. I have seen better at this level but he is only 19 and I reckon he will develop into a very good centre back.
Would I have Inniss back at Priestfield? Yes I would.
Would I even consider paying £600,000 for him? Not a fucking chance.
So whilst they may well turn out to be decent signings they certainly wouldn't have me strangling Kojak.

Jimmy Ryan is a class signing for Fleetwood. Done deal now.

Chesterfield look a bit fucked.

Jimmy Ryan was always going to go, it was known months ago but Fleetwood is a surprise, clearly they've offered him a lot of money because, well, why else would you go there. He's a good signing for them though no doubt.

Roberts seems to be heading down to Portsmouth to be re-united with his mate. He's been brilliant for us but he is injury prone and at 31 we get a fee for him and the biggest earner off the wage bill so you might argue it's the right thing for the club to do. Ideally he'd still be here next season but when someone mahooosive like Portsmouth come in for you with a decent wage increase on a 3 year contract you're going to go.

There was talk of Darikwa to Leeds which looks to have cooled for the time being but i'd be surprised if he's still here when the season starts. Clucas is attracting a lot of interest and it's just a case of to where and for how much. I don't think there's too many rumours regarding Morsy at the moment but i'm sure Chris Turner our CEO is doing is level best to whore him out to other clubs.

It's all shit but that's what happens when you have a good season, other clubs start paying attention to your players.

Sad times. I think he's better than Morsy when I'm honest. More composed and better technique. I'm gutted he's gone, but I expected it to be honest.

We need to be bringing 3 or 4 players of high quality or we will be down an excrement coloured rivulet devoid of oars

We're in talks with Andy Williams if you believe the rumours - along with Scunny.

Ex Swindle - 22 goals last season.

I'm not impressed!

I thought Fleetwood were stopping the big spending or is that just a myth?

Really hope they follow Crawley and Stevenage out of this league.

It's a good signing, but is necessarily a sign of extreme financial clout? This is a guy who's spent all his pro career at this level or below (as far as I'm aware he never played for Liverpool) and was out of contract. Sure, it's annoying for Chesterfield fans, I get that - but investment in that Chesterfield side seems to be lacking for whatever reason at this level. Could it be just as much that Fleetwood offered a reasonable wage and Chesterfield didn't? The two teams weren't that far away from each other last season, and obviously came up together the year before, so on footballing terms there isn't a great deal between them IMO, and maybe Ryan has looked at the lack of investment being offered at Chesterfield and decided Fleetwood have a better shot of going up this year?

Or Fleetwood have splashed out - what do I know?

Ryan going to Fleetwood makes perfect sense.

He's from Liverpool so the move suits him location wise and he gets to stay at the same level.

Streete played about 2 games for us and one of them was against Leyton Orient who had 10 men, so I have no idea why our fans say he was brilliant on loan and are raving about him!

Is anyone going to do the Ins/Outs list that had appeared on the first page in previous seasons? Always really appreciated that.

On Streete, I think there's been a bit too much of a fanfare although I'm delighted with the signing. The exact profile of signing we should be making as a club, instead of 27 year old journeyman who are just after their 1500 a week, before moving to Scunthorpe or Gillingham two years down the line for their next pay cheque.

I don't think it's a disaster if we don't get Innis. Veseli showed his ability when playing alongside a big man last season and I'd welcome a Streete/Veseli partnership at the heart of our defence. Let's hope Freddie signs on.
