masi51 based on this first half Shoretire is better than Dapo in virtually every department. Pace over 10 yards, 360 degree vision, can use both feet, unselfish (the one where Charles hit the bar Dapo wouldn’t have passed that he’d have gone alone). Dapo is a cracking player but there are levels and Shoretire is on another planet. Anyone watching this game can see that

I would be interested to see how much turnover there has been at the other 3 promoted clubs. We seem to be at a point where we’ve deemed practically none of our remaining squad from last season are good enough for this level, by the start of next season I’d be surprised if there were more then 2 or 3 left out of our entire title winning squad.
Experimental 361 usually do a squad churn graphic at the end of every transfer window, I'll look out for it in a week or so and post if I see it.

Got to agree .....two seconds quicker than anyone else hope the injury is nothing more than a knock
Fits the system better than Dapo

Hope we have him tied up for next season

I don’t think we’ll have him next season unless we go up. That’s our only chance with Bradley and Traff too.

Rumours north of the border that we're looking at St. Mirren pair Ethan Erhahon and Stuart McKinstry with Jez George being up there today.

Erhahon is out of contract in the summer and has rejected a move to FGR in January and McKinstry is on loan from Leeds, also out of contract in the summer but that's likely to be a summer move.

I make that a central midfielder and a winger. Its nice to actually hear some rumours! Any murmurings of any strikers incoming?

Nothing specific. MK said in his post match interview that we'd be concentrating on CM and ST. Mentioned a couple of the players we were after we've been trying to sign before, one in the last year and the other in the last two or three years.

Apparently we and Swansea are looking at Josh Key from Exeter. I understand he is out of contract at the end of the season. We’ve just gone through a similar thing with James Bree who he’d be replacing so understand the frustration. Case of take the money now or in this case hold on to him to see what compo can be had after he moves on?

But answering properly, it’s the first I’ve heard of it, and there’s been no rumours or anything of it down here

As Hutch has said, there’s been no talk of it at our end. He wasn’t on the bench yesterday and we have just signed a new CB, so wouldn’t be shocked. I reckon he’s on good money here so we would probably be open to letting him leave.

As for Stubbs, he’s a top centre half at L2 and probably L1 level. Trouble is, he arrived 2 years ago injured and took him almost a year to get fit. He was superb second half of last season but has only played one league game this season. He’s got a dodgy knee that reacts badly to firm pitches. Apparently he’s fit now so could do a good job for you, but I’d be very sceptical if he’d be worth giving a long contract to.

I don't know which team you support, but you'd need to stump up a lot of dosh

I think he’ll be gone by Tuesday.

I don’t buy the ‘hamstring injury’…seems too convenient to me.

Half the Championship will be looking at him. Love Evatt to pull a rabbit out the hat and he rocks up here.

Luke McGee has left us to join Derby on loan. He’s the best keeper at the club, so bit of a howler from us imo.

After we 'beat Sheffield Wednesday and Blackpool' to sign Mattie Pollock he's gone to Aberdeen.

Oh well

Strange one - he was in place as your number one until about two weeks ago. I can only assume this move was being worked on in the background, but obviously without the ability to pay any type of fees then this must be predicated on some form of agreement at the end of the season.

Wildsmith is locked in as number one and has been excellent. Scott Loach has been our number two, which isn't ideal, but he hasn't let us down when he's played. He's had some excellent performances actually, but I did think a keeper coming in may be on the cards. I assumed it would be a U21 player from another club or one very much out of favour.

Improves the squad anyway - happy to have him!

There was a whisper a week or two back that we were interested in Kevin Long from Birmingham, which didn't seem particularly plausible but people were suggested that Poole took his time leaving the pitch on Saturday, and I suspect if Poole leaves then Long could happen.

We're also being linked with Dylan Duffy from UCD in the League of Ireland (part time college football, I think), who I suspect will be one for the next year or two rather than now because he's only 20.

Also linked to Luke Plange from Palace on loan.

Apologies, Luton!

We just sold our right back in the exact situation for 750k to the premier league. Would have thought an up coming out of contract player who is “injured” and not currently playing, 500k with some decent sell on % should do the job no?

I think £500k is the absolute minimum, probably closer to £650k. We’ll get compo in the summer but I did see an article that suggested clubs from abroad were looking at him, which would mean we’d get nowt.

Could be his agent trying to force our hand and settle for a smaller fee this month. As I say, I think he’ll go this month and if he does then good luck to him.

He’s a very good shot stopper, could make a compilation video of all the big saves that won us points last season, one of our top performers. This year obviously it’s been tough and we’ve conceded a lot of goals, not easy for any keeper playing in a team as bad as us. He’s still played well for the most part, very few goals were down to him.

You’ve got yourselves a quality keeper and a really decent bloke.

I'd be interested to see how Plange gets on. He had a bit of a purple patch when he first came into the team last season, although not completely convincing he did score a few goals and we managed to make a couple million selling him.

He finished the season in wretched form. I think it was one goal from Feb, despite starting in 13 of the games, to the point it looked like he was fan that had won a competition. Not many were too sorry to see him go at the end of the season, although it doesn't look to have got much better for him as he's gone to the second division in Belgium and struggled to make an impact - two goals in his first four then none in his last 10 appearances. The last start he had, he was dragged off at half-time.

I do think he could put together a run of games, especially at a level like this, but he's had a strange start to his career.

Probably be a decent defender in time but lack of pace was his main problem.
