Josh Key a RWB & RCB? Ticks boxes for us.

No links to him at this end, but we're no strangers when it comes to buying from Exeter.

We are allegedly taking 20-year old Wolves winger Chem Campbell on loan, so from one WWFC to another.

Not a done deal yet, but we’ve either released or loaned out a bunch of attacking players, so a signing like this would make sense.

Matty Stevens likely to be joining Northampton on loan apparently.

Could be one of anything up to 10 departures (including McGee) in the last 2 days of the window, with us also still looking to add more to the 10 we've already brought in this month.

Little surprised at that one. Once fit surely a big asset to you?

You would think so, he's been gradually making his way back understandably a bit rusty but the more he plays the sharper he'll get. The only natural finisher we have.

Burton has apparently tabled a bid for Cole Stockton... interesting if true!

Is Stockton all that? Basically had one outstanding season in his entire career.

I'd be interested to see how Plange gets on. He had a bit of a purple patch when he first came into the team last season, although not completely convincing he did score a few goals and we managed to make a couple million selling him.

He finished the season in wretched form. I think it was one goal from Feb, despite starting in 13 of the games, to the point it looked like he was fan that had won a competition. Not many were too sorry to see him go at the end of the season, although it doesn't look to have got much better for him as he's gone to the second division in Belgium and struggled to make an impact - two goals in his first four then none in his last 10 appearances. The last start he had, he was dragged off at half-time.

I do think he could put together a run of games, especially at a level like this, but he's had a strange start to his career.
Is he a striker as such, or more an inside forward/wide player?

Two in the last three but I know what you mean.

I've never been overly sure on him, certainly not for the figures that have been banded about the last year or so (and it seems Clubs agree otherwise they'd have got him out of Morecambe if they really wanted to), but he caused us some issues earlier in the season and looked better than I've previously seen him.

We're also being linked with a loan move for striker Sinclair Armstrong from QPR.

Not sure where all these loans are going to fit in because we currently have six, I think albeit Virtue is out for a couple of months. Maybe we'll try and sign him permanently because he's out of contract at Blackpool in the summer. Can see Oakely-Boothe going back to Stoke, though if another midfielder or two are signed.

Definitely a number 9 - I honestly couldn't imagine him playing out wide. He plays on the last man, through the middle - he's a poacher.

Fleetwood splashing the cash it seems. Set to announce Jack Marriott and Jayden Stockley. Not implying anything but isn’t their owner still facing criminal charges for fraud?

Is Marriott any good these days? He doesn't seem to get a look in at Posh for example?

Stockley looked awful against us for Charlton, probably benefitted us that he stayed on and got a retrospective ban for one of the three incidents with Smudge!

If you play to his strengths, Stockley will score goals.

We don’t anymore and I strongly suspect we’ll regret this decision.

I also strongly suspect it’s more than just footballing reasons.

Rumours north of the border that we're looking at St. Mirren pair Ethan Erhahon and Stuart McKinstry with Jez George being up there today.

Erhahon is out of contract in the summer and has rejected a move to FGR in January and McKinstry is on loan from Leeds, also out of contract in the summer but that's likely to be a summer move.
Agreed a £300k fee with St Mirren for Ethan Erhahon, which seems on the high side for a player from Scotland with six months left on their deal. I'm assuming that an all in fee rather than an initial or flat fee because that'd eclipse our transfer record very comfortably.

Seems like they'd be a compensation fee if he left in the summer so not a freebie as I initially thought, and since he's been there since the age of 5, made his debut at 16 and has already played around 125 times for them by 21, it wouldn't necessarily be a token £30k fee either I imagine.

Well they've paid a 'substantial undisclosed fee' for him (Marriott)

Luke Plange on loan from Palace sounds like it's happening but the potential move for QPR's Sinclair Armstrong is off because of a first team injury down there.

Given that two of our front three are already loan players, that could have made things tricky had we signed Armstrong as well because of loan slots.

David Davis has gone on loan to Solihull Moors till the end of the season. Signed in the summer but it hasn’t really worked out, mixture of injuries and looking like his legs have gone when he has played.

Josh March has left us to join Stevenage on a permanent, can't fault his work rate but he just doesn't have enough end product at this level. Ironically he'll probably be back in league 1 next season, unlike us. Scored the goal that won us the title last season so can only wish him all the best.

Pretty sure that was actually James Wilson that scored the goal to win you the title…
