Sutton are a bigger club than us with more pulling power and presumably more financial muscle.

He obviously values those things over playing League 1 football. We move on.

Last I heard Sutton could be in trouble if they don't bring their ground up to football league standards.

Omari Patrick must have been promised by their manager that he will be played on the wing..

He comes from Berkshire as well doesn't he?.. although seems to have spent most of his career oop north. He looked good when we played you towards the end of our promotion season, skinned our RB Hoole..

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
I’d say that statement makes him unavailable to buy, I don’t hardly remember our board coming out with statements that leave little fallback usually they fill it with holes and gaps to crawl out of when it turns about.

Suggests they would rather lose for nothing and hope he helps keep club up.

Considering the increases in cash soon maybe finance wise a better idea

Na I think it’s a “you’ll need to make a huge offer if you want him” statement.

They are not actively looking to sell, but if a crazy offer arrives they will.

suggests that it may have been a rumour put out to try and improve the deal we've offered him perhaps.

Looks to me as if his agent probably leaked the bid to get the club to offer him a better contract.

Well unless someone offers us mega bucks for him then he's not going anywhere.

Phew!

I remember one transfer window where we announced a new contract extension for Ian Harte one day then sold him to Reading the next day.

With Carlisle United you can only say phew when it's the day after deadline day.

Signed Ryan Scholfield on a year deal to be backup keeper so our 2 young gks can go out on loan. Wierd one with him. Played half a season for Huddersfield then sent out on loan and never really pushed on. Hopefully he just warms the bench and plays on papa John's matches

It’s really really quiet on the transfer front for us at present, which is massively frustrating. We desperately need some proven L1 level experience in the team.

I’m by no means pressing the panic button but I was expecting us to go down the ‘experience’ route with our recruitment this summer especially after Caldwell flagged up some naivety in our team last season.

Whereas we’ve got a fair number of loans who may or may not be great. Tom Carroll should be a class act if we get even 60% of what he’s capable of and Jack Aitchison should be a decent signing too. Still plenty of time but we could do with one of those signings that gets the fanbase excited…here’s hoping.

How is it tinpot to try and get a low price deal?

Engage your brain for a second and think about who our owners are and their track record for flogging players on the cheap. If I was running Blackpool or any interested club I’d test the waters with a derisory offer when dealing with CUFC.

Remember our chairman still think it’s 1974. 250k probably gets you Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham in his world. They probably had to intervene to stop him immediately accepting the bid.
Bit disrespectful to say that about our chairman. He's put millions into the club over the years, and we've never been in the situation Reading and Wigan are now.
Jog on, attention seeker.

An entirely sensible position to take.

I would genuinely laugh if you sell him that he ends up at York over Blackpool.

Looks like we've been in touch with Whatmough and his agent and he's open to the move. Football might not be a priority right now though, supposedly pictures have been released of Whatmough cheating on his Mrs with a girl from Wigan. Messy.

Rumour that we’re interested in bringing striker Kieran Phillips back. Did ok at Morecambe on loan last season (7 goals in 17) but would still be a bit underwhelming.

Lose Noumbe and even Devon Lad would struggle to put a positive spin on the summer for Exeter you would think, a lot of work to do in the next month to replace what they've lost.

If Nombe goes to Charlton we’re fucked. The only blessings are we’d get a much bigger fee now than in January and we have time to replace him this window. But otherwise we’re fucked.

I had Exeter down for relegation after losing Brown, Blackman, Key and Stansfield but if you lose Nombe I will put you rock bottom.
