Apparently we have Sanchez Watt on trial. Hope we don't actually sign him.

Seems unlikely we're signing John Lundstram due to interest from other clubs, one rumoured to be Bolton.

Think we'll be seeing David Fox sign in the coming days.
I'd be more than happy with Fox, some much needed experience to the midfield.

Eggert Jonsson unattached. Played for Hearts and Wolves, etc. Sounds promising.

http://www.fleetwoodtownfc.com/news...jonsson-signs-for-fleetwood-town-2532893.aspx

You are obviously using the word "promising" in a manner with which the rest of us were hitherto entirely unaccustomed.
We discovered that Mickey Mouse has an Eggert Jonsson watch. There is a reason he's unattached, you realise that?

Sorry but really pretty much anyone in top nine tiers of English football would be better. If it's a seasoned pro you want, get someone from the Wessex League and rub garlic salt on his buttocks.

You really need to learn that when you buy a player who fails to make an impact at Wolves, you are not getting a Tyrone Mings or a Tom Ince. You're getting someone who will be useful at a Danish buffet and knows nineteen different words for snow.

He has come through the youth system at Knattspyrnufélag Fjarðabyggðar though

We'll see about Jonsson. He played 153 games for Hearts and you paid £250k so there must be something about him. Apparently can play anywhere is defence and defensive midfield so different positions covered.

Re Liam McAlinden should do a decent job at Shrewsbury.

Funny.... we said that when he arrived too. :) YMMV. Hope he does well for you, but feel that you could do better. Remember us Wolves fans have seen him not play.

++ as for McAlinden, I'm not convinced. What did he score for you? Something like 6 goals in 20 appearances? Doesn't seem a lot. Hope he does well for himself there but I think he'll be in L2 by next May and in non-league next year.....

What on earth? Surely you must be worried that all you can afford is players who aren't even good enough for this league?

I am not trolling before anyone accuses me of it again I would have made the same point if it was Fleetwood interested in signing him.

Clubs take on trialists of this nature all the time. Doesn't mean we'll sign him. All three signings we've made so far are 'good enough' for this league.

Whilst that is true it shows the calibre of player you are interested in. I just had a look at 'Bantams Banter' and it appears there will no investment from the current board, they were all set and budgeted for a take over from that crazy Italian man and it hasn't materialised and the only reason why the STs are so cheap is to attract a new buyer for the club, not to thank or reward the fans! What do you think about that?

Your trialists comments really just exposes the depth of your ignorance about how football clubs actually work and probably also goes some way to explaining why you spent the better part of a week arguing with yourself in the club size thread.

Linked with Bishop from Scunny. Don't know anything about him other than he's a tough guy and at 33 he's possibly an experienced leader in midefield we may be after to get us out of this league only? Bottega Don

So 1 doom monger quote on an unofficial message board and because it's negative it means it's the truth in your eyes?

Anyway..... 'Must not bite' , 'must not bite'

Supposedly signing 3 more players, 2 defenders and a winger. No idea who we've done very well keeping our dealings quiet. On another note the Barnsley scout doesn't need to travel to Portugal this year as we aren't taking any triallists like we have in the past :2thumb:

He's better than my initial knee jerk reaction of then?
He's class.

Had a few dodgy games here and there last season but in general he was massive to us staying up. He's a leader and covers every blade of grass on the pitch. We need to keep him.

Blimey, bit early to be preparing for League 2 isn't it? You can say 'they started of at class clubs bla bla bla they must be good players' but they are all unexperienced and by the sounds of it poor players to not be wanted by other clubs in this league.

No when I looked there was a lot of negativity! I don't think everything is all too well at Bradford City, will be interesting to see how this develops over the next few months. A club doesn't sell 18,000 season tickets with £6.5m revenue apparently and feed of scraps other League 1 clubs don't want and lose their best player to Ross County! Laughable

You do realise that we will have a bigger playing budget than you this season - much like last season, and the season before that.

Thankfully, we have a very good group of players already tied down for next season - whilst you're blowing all your moula on signing on fees for a player we almost signed from Brighton for £100k 4 years ago.

Bradfords budget is £2m. Ours is £2.5m. We keep our best players you let yours go to Ross County! Something is majorly wrong at your club to sell that many season tickets and create so much supposed revenue and yet can only afford unexperienced players who cousin even make it at League 1 clubs. Maybe you'll be back down to 2,000 crowds at no time if you don't have cheap season tickets next year and go down.

You keep signing players who can't get into their teams and we'll
keep signing players who are experienced and regarded as good players by their previous club fans whilst letting your best player go to Ross County!

Local rag seems to think we are signing AJ Leitch Smith.

Can we please stop signing former Crewe players?
