That lad from Barnsley looks like the oldest fucking 22 year old I’ve ever seen. Seems just from his photo on Twitter a right hard bastard and frankly with how soft we seem most the time I’m good with that.

Yeah and more experience and height. Probably more content than with Williams with that one.

Looks a right hard man. Smudge giving them a tickle and a pinch and him on you won’t be much fun.

Rejected a bid for Vic Adeboyejo from Goztepe, can't see us selling him especially with Niall Ennis going to Stoke.

The facts are it costs 2m a year just to pay utility bills on our stadium and away followings of 150 dont help.
My heart bleeds. You get much higher away followings than we do and have three times the crowd so you should be able to pay for the stadium.
And if you can't surely that's a reason not to pay massive wages for players?

Where have I heard this before?
Yes a bit presumtious and i may be going slightly overboard[again]. Needed these signings because we was in danger of imploding.
Remember 3 seasons back when we was 18th in January and got Promoted. Well we have had in my opinion as good a window, we may struggle the next two matches or so but i feel we will go on a good run that will give us the title come may................3 out of the four signings would go straight in our best 11 when everyones fit

We do cover costs because the stadium is used 365 days a year ie Football, Rugby, Concerts, Snooker, Darts....Beer Festivals etc
Doubt we pay any more than a top 6 lge 1 club.
We have good owners that have a good business ethos, but that has not been enough since they took over
Money has to be put in the club by outside investors and the owners have stated from day one they will review the club if and when we get into the Championship.
Money from Swiss Bankers has been pumped into the club for the last three years at least

Heard it the season before that too but I think you’ve had a good window and will go up.

I’m not quite aboard hms… but as long as we can get santos back quickly we are in as good a position as we could have hoped for at this stage of the season. It’s in our hands but a long way to go yet.

Obv a Staffordshire thing. We have returned Leko to mk dons for the same thing…

It appears that from what someone on our forum (who has a far higher success rate on this stuff than anyone else) has said it’s more of a conduct issue why his loan has been terminated but Vale just doing Liverpool a solid dressing it up as an injury. From what was said of him by Blackpool and Aberdeen fans he didn’t have the best attitude there either. Wants to be careful, the game is littered with those highly talented players whose career falls by the wayside due to their attitude and he could easily go the same way.

Not to much bothered about Santos, we was at a stage where we had square pegs in round holes....the new signings have stopped that

Toal is obviously playing through the pain barrier and i am not convinced with Iredale/Ashworth at centre half
Taylor can hold the fort Jones should be back next week and Forrester has just started training.
Hms piss the league is a little in jest, but Evatt has been given all the tools to do it

Sold one of our reserves Tommy McDermott to Burnley presumably to go into their U23’s / development squad. Not sure what that’s about to be honest. Showed real promise just over a year ago and signed a 3 year deal but then a series of bad loans and never kicked on. Wonderful opportunity for him there to develop I guess.

In one of the most bizzare transfers Tommy McDermott has joined Burnley for an undisclosed fee.

Youth midfield player forced to play up front against Fleetwood and Exeter last season as we hadn’t had time to get strikers signed post promotion but has been and seemingly not done very well on loan at Rochdale and someone else the league below that.

Very odd one but will take the money!

So in our attempts to stay up our saviours are Joe Nuttall from Oldham (1 goal in the National League this season) and Matty Taylor (can't get a game for the bottom of the EFL).

League 1 was fun whilst it lasted.
I'll give the guy a chance but it's not looking good, and a 2.5 year deal for Taylor seems crazy.

I was fine with selling Goodwin at the price we did but I assumed (foolishly) that we'd at least have a decent replacement lined up. It's just incompetence at this point.

Panic comes to mind.

Apparently Taylor has been Clarke's number 1 target all window. 2 and half years for a 33 year old is plain batshit crazy.

Odd one especially as he didn’t exactly do great after signing deadline day last season for him!

Felt like he was past his best with us.

Georgie Kelly signed from Rotherham for an undisclosed fee. 3 and a half year contract.

He could be good at this level so let's wait and see and hope he gets back from his little niggle quick.

Georgie will always be a hero here for his goal at Gillingham which secured a last day promotion.

He works hard and has a knack of being in the right place at the right time.

Millers fans love the bloke, he is intelligent, articulate and very humble.
However, he has played under Warne, Taylor and now Richardson and never been given any sort of run of games by any of them.

Maybe he lacks belief in himself? Anyway I wish him all the best and would have preferred to loan him rather than sell him.

Hopefully he can team up with Kayode and form a good partnership for you.

Three and a half year deal suggests we’ve got him in mind for next seasons league 2 challenge. Hopefully he settles in, maybe gets a few goals then really kicks on and spearheads our attack next season.

I'd not heard of him too but after looking him up he scored 21 goals in 31 games for Bohemians and scored not much for Rotherham but his games for Rotherham appear to be mostly off the bench and their fans are a bit sad to see him leave so there must be something about him.

Yeah and that’s the championship. Maybe dropping to league 1 and then league 2 next season will be what he needs.

Still, as we’ve seen with Armstrong, unless we improve the quality of service we could have prime Luis Suarez and it wouldn’t matter.

Hopefully another wide creative forward will follow.
