Reda signing a new contract is as good as a new signing.

Pleased with Reda signing. Just hope he can manage to play more this year.

Well who are you expecting then? Billy Sharp is quite a high profile player and surprising to see him drop down a league
More like when Bristol City brought in Freeman and Wilbraham last year.
That made you sit up and take notice.
Wouldn't put Sharp in that sort of bracket.

Wilbraham? He had scored 3 goals at his last 4 clubs, I doubt anyone considered it a big signing.

I get what you mean but it was more the fact that he had come from the Premier League to League 1.
He could have joined Championship clubs.
I thought at the time it was a good signing for League 1 anyway.

Luke James on season long loan confirmed. Loan fee was also involved, thought to be around £75k

In terms of strikers, that leaves us with;

Billy Clarke
James Hanson
Stephen Davies
Luke James
Oli McBurnie

You've paid £75k to take a player on loan?

Sounds like we've basically paid for him for a year, he can't be recalled by Posh. Guess we will see if it was worth it at the end of the season.

We've signed Jamie Ness on a free transfer, not sure if he's any good.

Chris Kirkland is never on trial with Bury. Reece Brown maybe because he's dogshit.

And again 2 ex Coventry City players.

We do for sure.
Interesting. He'd be familiar with Luke Williams along with some of the legion of ex-Albion players currently at Swindon, so it might be a goer. Think he'd do well for any League One club going on his few first team appearances for us, but he definitely needs a productive loan spell with regular game time.

Right who fancies having a whip round so I can afford to locate, kidnap, and ship Dion's head off to Burkina Faso after tomorrow's friendly against Nuneaton?

Had a great 6 weeks for us last season, but was very average for the rest of it. Neat and tidy, got a decent strike on him and the odd good through ball, but fairly lightweight and goes missing for long periods of games.

TBF anyone on here could identify me from my Twitter handle which is underneath my profile picture, so superb sleuthing Mr Holmes. So when you find me and I repeat my witticism, what are you going to do?

Luke James should be good and compliment the other strikers. We have some good options now and goals from midfield. If James does well I think he will likely want to stay at City and we might get a deal done.

Jordi Hiwula to Huddersfield :(

Makes us being linked to get Lalkovic off Barnsley a lot more sense.

We are in for Nicky Bailey apparently, Milwall fans is he a good player or past it now?

yeah he's good but fat and injury prone. Only worth it on a pay as you play basis, imo.

If James does well, we'll have him back. That much is well known.

Everyone knows MacAnthony doesn't give away good strikers!
