Sadlier should go back to Donny Rovers, he wasn't quite up to it here and doesn't seem to have kicked on at Bolton.

He was very good for Donny and I'm pretty sure he played for McCann before.

Sadlier was popular with us here last season, talented player but his work off the ball is a bit non existent. Whoever he signs for will need to take that into consideration - the man doesn't do heading for example!

He was on our list of players to bring back, but our DOF said he's on a good contract at Bolton which means he'll be difficult to get out of there unless he gets paid up.

I think Patrick Bauer will end up on loan to a L1 side before the end of the week, with rumours of a senior outgoing.

A classic 'no nonsense, body on the line' centre back. Good leader, but no pace and not much ability on the ball.

I've always been a big fan of him but his recent injuries means it is time to drop a level, unfortunately.

Well apparently Nombe is now going to Rotherham

Obviously we have been keeping an eye on this one but to be honest there's nothing leaked out about him possibly signing up here.

Hope he is but it's a huge fee for us to pay.

Dion Charles isn’t leaving now, signing a new deal instead.

Still think we’re gonna see a couple of players go, Declan John and Keiran Sadlier, both of whom aren’t going to be anywhere near the first XI this season.

Now confirmed, new 3 year deal.

If it’s a cash plus player deal then I could see it happening. Seen Georgie Kelly mentioned as possibly coming our way. What’s he like?

I’d be more keen for someone like Kayode, but I’m sure GC will have a clear idea of who he wants.

Been told that Gillingham might bid for George Moncur form ourselves - depending on what they offer, we may well accept.

Georgie Kelly is the best natural striker at the club, he has an instict for being in the right place at the right time.

He is a very intelligent, articulate young man, not your typical footballer.

If his fitness matched his ability to sniff goals out he would be worth a fortune.
He has struggled to adapt from part time football in Ireland to the rigours of a full time athlete, which is a crying shame.

I hope we don't let him go because he is a really useful substitute and he always looks like he might get a goal

Did I mention he is currently injured again and not expected to be playing again until after the international break.

Thanks, he sounds like a decent player but probably just social media nonsense. I did see he was injured, which is unfortunate. Whoever we sign needs to be able to hit the ground running.

It looks like we are in the market for two players, albeit we’re trying to keep our own players as a priority. Brighton have had several bids for Cashin rejected, apparently we want £3m + a season long loan. A couple of people have said that their last bid of £3m with no loan was rejected. Bird seemingly looking to stay thanks to a two month injury.

I now wouldn’t be too surprised if we allow Collins to join Shrewsbury if we can land Smith from Sheff Wed. He seems like our fourth choice behind Waghorn, Washington and TJJ. We have Brown coming through. I think if we can get another striker (like Smith) through the door then Collins could move on.

Interesting week ahead, anyway. Glad we don’t have a cup game tomorrow as a distraction.

If James Collins comes back to us for a 4th spell then I’m going down the bookies and putting £50 on Salop to get play offs. Still don’t think it’ll happen although rumours are gathering pace at both ends. The club has confirmed that we’re interested but two factors stand in the way, wages and Derby signing another striker. If we end the transfer window with Udoh, Bowman, Mata, Phillips & Collins then I’ll be on cloud 9. Unfortunately it’s just not going to happen as to sign Collins then I’m certain we’ll lose Udoh.

Us and Pompey are apparently after Nathan Butler-Oyedeji on loan from Arsenal.

Would kill to have him back at Charlton and we are in desperate need of a solid CB

I think we essentially bought him by taking the contract off Cardiff's hands so I would suspect he's on decent money - £10k a week - so wages would be an issue.

It's if we sign another striker as I think we're quite happy to have him as 4th choice. I know Warne likes Smith at Wednesday but not sure anything will happen there.

Would still be more than capable in this league, could maybe still do a job in the Championship if given a run but he's way down the pecking order here after missing most of last season.

Yes, and we're also still trying to land Chelsea's Tino Anjorin on loan. Looked like he was off to the Eredivisie but Chelsea have hit the 7 international loan limit so he's still a possible for us.

That sounds marvellous. Would love to be rid of the ineffective weirdo and his millstone wages. El Miz or Galbraith in behind a forward would be entirely preferable.

We've completed the signing of Cam Peupion from Brighton. Sounds a bit of a player, with Brighton fans saying they expected him to go out on loan to a higher level.

That's the CAM role sorted, now for that forward. I'm hearing of a link with Ryan Loft at Bristol Rovers, but I'll be taking it with a pinch of salt for now.

Carlisle fans what is John-Kymani Gordon like? Sounds like we're signing him.

Nombe will be confirmed tomorrow. Multiple sources state he had a medical in Rotherham today, which would explain why not in the squad tonight.
Just hope for a decent replacement.

Yeah, Rotherham looks most likely. Good luck to him.

I’m confident we’ll replace him well enough but time will tell. Should be a hectic week!

Rumours from multiple sources (incl a Wxm mate who knows people at the club) that Brandon Hanlan is off to the Hollywood Dream Team for 350k.

I mean, he’s OK, but I’d certainly say you could get better for that money, so I’m fine with this to be honest.

Have we left it too late for a replacement though…

Ridiculous money for Hanlan. Makes sense to accept

I would have thought we would get some of that. unusual for a club not to add a sell-on clause these days

You’d certainly think Barton’s earned a right to a hefty commission the way he’s talked him up in the past.

Also said he wanted to keep him as there was potential to work with
