Tbf since the new owners came in we signed Hunt and Woods & Bogarde on loan. According to our local press, the budgets were increased before the investment. However, signing JCH would be of course a big step up and would double our transfer record.

Agree that JB would be under significant pressure too. Especially considering the new owners have no loyalty to him

Sam Nombe definitely leaving. Was waving goodbye to the fans today…

Shame, but don’t begrudge his move at all. Plus Caldwell has said we will be bringing in players this week, so hopefully we will replace him with someone decent. Birmingham and Rotherham both mentioned as possible destinations for Nombe.

Birmingham would be interesting and mean than two of the front three from last season will have had an upgrade...

Anyone expecting much movement by the deadline on Thursday?

We're in a very unusual position where most of our work was done by a week into the season. Could do with another wide player, more of a pacey type than someone who steps inside but that's about it.

Expecting Adelakun to leave as well, he's not even got a squad number.

We’re one of the clubs ready to go in for Clark-Harris if we sell Charles this week.

Hopefully doesn’t come to that, he isn’t the same type of player as Charles, nor do think I think he’ll get many goals for us.

Yes! Reading between the lines Nombe has already gone and will probably be announced on Tuesday, but we will be getting in at least one and hopefully two additional.

Also, I think the deadline is Friday.

23:00 on Friday.

We absolutely have to get at least one creative midfielder in, and another forward.

Fail to get either of these and we're down.

I think 23 other clubs are also after a forward

Obvious answer same as most other clubs is forward especially if Ellis Harrison does end up leaving. I don’t know if he will or not but there’s enough that adds up to you thinking he will. More than that though I do think we could do with strengthening the wingback position as probably my biggest priority. If Clark and Grant could be available every game then great but realistically that isn’t going to be the case so backup there would be handy.

Expecting Harrison to go as he seems fit now but not in the squad, we will bring in two or three and Crosby seemed quite upbeat in terms of the calibre we are attracting compared to last season so have to see.

Need one striker (maybe 2), a left back as cover and now possibly a centre half as Dan Jones could be out a while depending on this illness he’s had which has hospitalised him all week.

Think we’ll be very active over the next week or so. Taylor repetitively says in his interviews that the squad will look a lot different come September. We still need at the very least one more midfielder if not two. Potentially another LWB if Shipley’s injury yesterday is as bad as it looked, then maybe another ST if I’m being greedy.

Outgoings wise I think Flanagan will definitely depart and go to another League 1 club. Marosi is linked to a move to Championship so if he goes we’ll need a new GK. Could potentially see Bowman leave to a League 1/2 club if we sign another ST. The main must do above anything of the above, is we MUST keep Dan Udoh. Talk of Championship clubs wanting him and if he leaves then it’s a huge disaster for us as I don’t think we’d be able to replace him.

So yeah, lots of activity expected down the Meadow this week.

Would get a hatful for us......If he had played yesterday we would have got 3 points

Keep Charles and get Harris and offer any other of our forwards loan deals to move on

Is Bodvarsson playing for you as he’d be the obvious one I’d want at Vale off the top of my head? If you did get JCH that would get you over the line for automatic in my opinion at least.

We are looking at one more but there may be outgoings as well which may change that. For me, hopefully a forward who can play across the line. We've been linked with Ryan Longman and I'd be happy with that.

Barton has already said JCH would like to return to the area and there are some posts on our forum saying he still has a place in Portishead and GF is from here, so hoping that plays a part although ££ usually talks more.
Think Barton said post-match that one incoming is in the pipeline and may have others going out which could be a number of players who cant even get in the squad currently

Wellens says we need to bring in one or two in, mainly due to long term injuries.

We've been trying to buy Charlie Kelman from QPR for 2 weeks, but they're being stubborn - think that one will go to the wire. Dan Agyei is out until January so it looks like we're gonna spend some January money now on a forward player and bring Agyei back when he is ready.

Lots of talk of us needing another centre back with Adam Thompson seemingly never fit and still apparently out long term and Omar Beckles out of form. I can see us bringing in a young loanee there if we do indeed sign another centre half.

Don't expect any out goings apart from our youngsters to Non League sides.

We need additional signings, though it seems to have taken a couple of knocks and injuries in the last few weeks for the club to realise this.

Bonner said we'll try to get one or two in, though before the weekend there had been no developments on that front.

The fans want us to get McGrandles back, though feels quite unlikely as judging from what's been said we seem a little hesitant. Would expect at least one youngster to come in on loan.

Hamstring pre-season been declared fit since opening day of season along with Toal neither in squad of late
Forrester seems a good find quality player

We’ve agreed a fee with QPR but they’re being difficult/intransigent about the payment structure. Expect we’ll capitulate.

We are expecting two signings before the end of the window. We’re reportedly in for McGrandles from Charlton which I hope is a permanent. Could also see another winger/striker come in which is most likely a loan.

I would say wherever McGrandles ends up will almost certainly be a permanent move.

I would imagine others will be in for him so wages could be a problem for us but a guarantee of more football and a successful loan spell with us will hopefully see us his preferred move.

Chem Campbell signed. Don’t know much about him. Any Wycombe fans?

Missed this one.

From what I recall, he had obvious talent, pace and skill, but could often frustrate in terms of trying to take too many people on, showboating and never picking the simple pass.

He did score at least a couple of bangers though.

Certainly one that could be very exciting if coached in the right direction, the raw ability is absolutely there but like I said, immaturity/ego sometimes lets him down, and not being a team player.

In fairness to him, he was replacing a player (Anis Mehmeti) who was often our only goal threat, but the difference was that Mehmeti had had a bunch of time to grow into the team and develop an understanding with them, whereas Campbell was thrown somewhat in at the deep end, and, “there you go lad, you’re replacing our star player - no pressure” is a hard situation.

That said I guess he’s presumably supposed to be filling the gap left by Rak-Sakyi for you guys which I suppose is a similar situation.

I only saw Rak-Sakyi a couple of times, but I’d say he’s better than Campbell - but like I say, Campbell certainly has potential.

He came on second half and was probably our most threatening player, not exactly hard but promising signs early on, he set up our equaliser.

Dion Charles isn’t leaving now, signing a new deal instead.

Still think we’re gonna see a couple of players go, Declan John and Keiran Sadlier, both of whom aren’t going to be anywhere near the first XI this season.

Sadlier should go back to Donny Rovers, he wasn't quite up to it here and doesn't seem to have kicked on at Bolton.

He was very good for Donny and I'm pretty sure he played for McCann before.
