He didn't massively with us (not to the levels of John Askey raiding Macclesfield which guess what didn't go well!)

We had Ellis and Holden but Crosby seemed to have more of an influence through his Irish U21 links.

He also had what seemed a phobia about playing loan players. We had Connor Roberts and Oli McBurney in L2 kicking their heels on the same bench which would soon be 20M of talent combined

He certainly had that!

Dennis Politic was superb off the bench for us but rarely played both seasons, Thierry Small, Liam McCarron came and went without barely an appearance, Kian Harratt didn't get much game time, although Ryan Edmundson did more but that was when Crosby was covering.

Could imagine Oli Arblaster sitting on the bench as Tom Conlon plays week in week out this season!

This has already been noticed at Cheltenham - we have 7 players on loan and only one is a regular under him

Pett has been confirmed on a short term deal until January. I assume that'll be extended if we can ship out Dan Adshead or Ellis Chapman.

It's 4 years or so on now but I don't think Pett ever had the pace or athleticism to be in L1 for too long (didn't really get too much of a chance here because of injury and then a managerial change).

As said, surprised it's taken this long for him to get a Club because he'd be fine at L2 level. Won't contribute too much in terms of assists and goals but he'll keep things ticking over.

I think he's been brought in to be that player just in front of the back 3/4 to allow Thompson or Bonds to be rested or played bang in the middle of the park.

It's also a move that's been made with January in mind. Dan Adshead and Ellis Chapman aren't remotely good enough so will be let go but they will still need to be replaced.

Word on the street is Cole stockton wants out. Had a row with Dino. Probably pissed he is not been played, or that our dickhead manager refuses to use any tactics.
Apparently Carlisle are lined up to take him.
Shame. He got injured in preseason and never played for us.

Its an odd one as we bid supposedly good money along with a couple of clubs 18 months ago, Morecambe wanted over 600k and lost him for nothing last summer but he's never seemed to hit the same heights since.

Wonder if we have another look in Jan if he wants out.

Wants to go back closer to his family I’ve heard. So carlisle might work for him. Or fleetwood perhaps.

with Brandon Hanlan having done his ACL and with Sam Vokes injured atm, we are light up front, and thus have brought Lyle Taylor in on a short-term deal.

Some of our fans seem to think he's a bit of a bell-end (not sure of the background on that one), but who knows.

A few clubs (including us) I believe has looked at Taylor and all said the same, so guess if you have no option but to get him signed on for a few months.

Wow, imagine being short up front and deciding to get a player in. The novelty!

Chris Martin has been good for us, probably our best performing striker at the moment. Sometimes the unattached players work out, although we have had a few that havent !

And your club being short up front could cost you a place in the Third Division next season.

Tell me about it! But relegation is nothing to worry about according to our board

there were a lot a pre-seasons predictions that Exeter would go down, I remember, I was one of them. When you lose so many key players (Dieng, Collins, Brown, Key, Stansfield) and topping it off with not replacing Nombe, it seems amazing that the board couldn't see it coming when so many outside could. The early season form looking at it now was, apart from winning on the opening day of the season which is a lottery really, were wins against Carlisle, Reading, Cheltenham and Burton. All of which led to a false hope.

I predicted them to go down too, for the same reasons, so looked a bit stupid when they were riding high at the beginning

Our signing off US midfielder Adeteye Gbadahan has now been rejected by the football authorities and he has returned to the United States.

Bizarre. Explains why we’ve not seen him play yet.

He’s a massive bell end but the sort of bell end you enjoy having in your team.

Obviously not played much football recently but I’d say that is a very good pick up.

We're wracked with injuries and need a boost.
I'd have this fella back tomorrow.

The Sheffield United manager comments don't sound massively positive for us in keeping Ollie Arblaster past January as he may go into their side... would be a blow so critical we get Rhys Walters tied down to a pro contract.

We’ve signed right back Josh Emmanuel.

With both our right backs out injured, it’s a necessary signing. Hopefully he’ll be useful.

Our first signing of the new era and I've heard rumours that he's on 10k a week.

I thought he was joking - why would Carlisle be paying £10k a week to a player who was at Grimsby last season and been without a club since?
