Alex Lowry, young CM from Rangers, just signed on a permanent deal. 14 apps for the Rangers first team, 17 apps for Hearts on loan.
We were linked with him at the start of the season, I presume only on loan. I’m out of the loop a bit, with this and the Danes coming over I assume there is major investment at Wycombe now?

Talk of Terry Taylor coming from Charlton on loan, apparently at training today. Seems to be liked at Burton? to get the move but injuries got in the way judging by apperances?

Pretty sure I read the Dane cost like a million quid, which is absolutely beyond belief money for Wycombe if true.

This one has come out of the blue, but he fits the profile of player we like to sign:

Wellens has confirmed the signing, will be announced properly once international clearance has gone through, wanted to play him tonight but couldn't.

We might have another one later this week.

Sonny Perkins is negotiating to leave Leeds to join us pernamently.

We've also had a bid for a striker rejected and will move on to other targets - I Can this striker seach going to the last day tbh.

We have a Georgian billionaire as our owner.

I say that with as much trepidation as anything, as we are throwing silly money around right now in this transfer window - it’s all very well chasing the dream, but you have to wonder what happens when the sugar daddy gets bored.

Apparently we have also put in a £750k bid for RB Danny Imray from Palace, currently on loan at Bromley.

Yep but he played less and less for Appleton, in fact I think he spent most of his Charlton days in the U21's (which does beg the question why he signed him for them).
We have a habit of January panic loans, realising they're no good and sticking them in the u21s

I think there's a good player in there and he'll do well at you so I'm glad it's just a loan. He was injured last season. This season he's been unfavoured. Played a few times but Jones isn't his biggest fan and we have played our best football without him. His set piece deliveries are superb though

Ricardo Dingana latest recruit from AFC Telford. Looks like another development player for Ainsworth to work with. Imagine the guy from Leamington will be ahead of him in the pecking order.

Still need to find some players with league 1 experience, especially midfield. At least Blackman has now been confirmed to the end of the season.

James Berry, winger from Chesterfield confirmed. To be honest he gets mixed reviews on their forum, but oh well.

Good player, very talented. Is however far more of an impact sub than he is a starter. Since joining us most of his best moments for us have came from the bench rather than games he’s started in, as he struggles for consistency in his performances, so if he can get that bit right at your place you’re gonna have a real player there. I do think he’s got a lot of work to do on his off the ball game, not just in a defensive sense, but also knowing when to (& being willing to) actually run in behind. He much prefers picking the ball up deep to feet, which is okay at times, but other times means he’s far too deep to affect the play in an attacking sense. He is however, very deadly when running at defenders and cutting in from the left onto his right foot.

I’ve said on our forum that I think this is one of those rare transfers where every party involved will be happy with the deal. You get yourself a top prospect with bags of abilities, Berry gets his move up a division to a side going well in the league, and we get a very, very good fee for a player who has been an impact sub at most for us when everyone’s fit over the past 18 months. I will be keeping an eye on his progress and hope he does well for you.

He's one of those players with that 'something'. He's very fast, direct and quite capable of picking the ball up, gliding past a few players and scything one into the top corner. He'll try the audacious stuff and do quite well with it. He can turn or win a game with a moment of absolute quality. As ODL says though his consistency is miles off, he can drift in games and look a bit disinterested and not affect things. I suspect he'll operate as a sub for you anyway so you might see the best of him. There's absolutely something special there though, will be really interesting to watch.

Quite bit of money being put around this window it feels, and with a few you expect to spend yet to shown their hand too.

Three(?) signings from non-league doesn't strike me as the Club giving it a good go to try and avoid relegation and a bit risky?

This is where Stevenage got caught out last season I think. They were doing fine until end of January/beginning of February last season and then really struggled in the second half of it, got squeezed out financially and pushed further down.

At this point, your big spenders either strengthen further and go again (Birmingham), others finally get what they consider a missing piece(s) of a jigsaw (Huddersfield) and sides around the PO's think they've got half a sniff and have a nibble as well.

I’m happy with us just plodding along and trying to acquire a top half finish, we are almost certainly saving our money for a medium size rebuild in the summer which we pretty much delayed a year for consistency.

Stockport County.
We'll need a few in just for numbers as we only have 18 outfield senior players (not including Jack Stretton in that as I'm pretty sure he'll be loaned out somewhere when we get players in) and 4 or 5 of them are injured. The young lad we brought in from Iceland was touted as one for the future but may possibly have to become one for now.

I think those in are more likely to just be loans to top up the squad. No idea though as we've barely had a decent sourced rumour all window.

January is either loans or overpaying for contracted players. No in between and you don't have as much control as in the summer when you can make plays for out of contract players.

I think we're in a position where we can relax and not panic. Well safe, yes play-offs are attainable but I'll be honest, we're nowhere near ready to go up as a club or as a team. If we did go up, it would be through the back door of the play-offs and then sneak it in the play-offs. If we did that, we'd go "wow" and then suddenly "fuck"
when the realisation hits that we're going to get eaten alive in the Championship.

The biggest contract news I would like to see is Clough signing a new contract, it ends in the summer and this year was an extension option by the club, or Clough, or both.

That O'Rourke bloke saying an Argentine side have put a bid in for Junior Quiterna. Bit random.

Meanwhile the dust is settling at Crawley with no whispers of any incoming players. We had a small squad and we lost 3 and got two.

Zero doubt that WAGMI will cash in, I assume? Pity he’ll be off; pretty much the only one of your players I was hoping Orient would poach in the summer.

Showunmi and Camara looked good against us, but tbh we make poor players look decent
