James / Ferdinand yes...Nabi / Coultihurst were signed for absolute peanuts...all of which is insignificants considering the large sums received for Boyd, McClean, Mackail Smith, Assombalonga, Gayle, Washington, Marriott, Edwards, Da Silva Lopes (I am sure there’s a lot more too)...what ever way you try and swing we have done very well financially out of our buy them cheap transfer policy...

I’d love us to get Jervis on the move! He hasn’t fit in here at all really but haven’t heard we are actively looking to loan him out. Jones mentioned that he needs to “grasp the nettle” so sort of seemed to me he had another couple of chances yet to me.

2 out of those 4 were frees. The other was 50K...You are right about Ferdinand though. Easly covered by Paul Taylor who we picked up for a free and sold the next season for 1.3m though (and many others)

We appear to be taking a look at someone called Simon Dawkins who is training with us. Seems to have a slightly odd career having spent a lot of time in the US but also played for Derby a few years ago. Was on trial at Charlton previously it seems.

Doubt it will go any further really as we dont really need any more attacking midfield/wide players.

Jones also stated we are looking to bring in a few loan players as well.

We signed Tom Eaves after he scored 4 in 40 for Yeovil in League Two, then he went and scored 18 last year and is already on 4 this season - it happens!

Jones sounded like he was pretty interesting in signing Dawkins to me.

And it definitely sounded like he wanted more than one loan player in so could be 3 new players in the door potentially. Have to assume a few are on the way out. Jervis/Gambin/Lloyd Jones got to be the most likely of the first team squad proper you'd think. Could see a loan for someone like Jack Senior too. He's good enough to play at L2 I think but not sure a club at that level would take a punt on him yet.

Very good at this level, certainly not a midfielder that will contribute goals or assists, but breaks up play nicely, moves the ball well and has a great engine.

Start of pre season I would have liked us to go back in for him, didn't really think he'd drop to this level though.

Seem to remember Bradford fans praising him, also know some West Ham fans that are expecting him to break into their side.

Hopefully Bowyer’s West Ham connections can get this one over the line.
