Under 4k for a team in the top 3 is appalling, especially after they beat Crewe 4-1 in the 2 quid match. I know they lost to Swansea and Barnet in between but that's massively fickle. What more can they do to get people intetested?

How is it appalling? Love how Lincoln now have morale high ground as they've found 5,000 new fans to compliment the original 2,500.

Accrington get 1000-1500 home fans, Chesterfield get around 5,000 - which would you rather be? Attendances mean fuck all

For the record, Newport took 57.

Given its a Tuesday night and last week they had Spurs at Wembley, each of those 57 deserved a handshake, especially after the battering they took

Our Tuesday night attendances have always been tiny for some reason - was even fewer at the last one against Crawley a couple of weeks ago.

Either way, it's not appalling, Walsall, fleetwood, bury and oldham all got less than 4,000 and are the league above.

I still don’t know why people are surprised that we get pretty small attendances usually but really big ones for important games or when it’s cheap. It’s just the obvious consequence of being the relatively unsuccessful second club in a big city.

I agree it's not appalling, relative to others, but certainly deserves a bit of a piss-take after 17k attended the last home game...

Not really, each club would be the same.

Not that many sides could get 17k in the first place. I wonder how many of the 28,000 will return to watch Coventry.

Look at me defending county.

Considering notts are averaging 7,600 that is a poor gate, Tuesday night or not.

As for Mansfield getting 2000 odd tonight that's pretty shambolic especially considering the form they're in. If they go up they'll surely go bust on those gates/ league 1 wages.

Alot I hope, but don't buy the beer in stadium and feed the Franchise. What has happened there would have me apoplectic if it was my club - having your home ground stolen.

Of course it's appalling - that's probably less than the amount of ST's they sold, way, way below their season average, 4th in the league, having a decent season, good cup run, Forest not playing etc.

Those four clubs are probably smaller than Notts County, so that means fuck all either, league above or not.

Our two sub 3,000 attendances have been on Tuesday nights, which for some reason we always seem to struggle with.

We should be looking at a 5,000+ crowd vs Coventry, so that should keep the Lincoln fans happy.

Attendances do mean fuck all if you have a wealthy owner to make up the shortfall in your cashflow.
Before everyone in Lincoln jumped on the bandwagon we were losing up to half a million a year.
Crowds certainly don't win you win the league as you correctly point out Accrington as the clear example but getting a decent crowd doesn't half help the bank balance!

Of course it's nice to have, there is no disputing that, I just hate the whole "we got x through the gate and you only got y" it's boring and tedious. Last season we became self-sufficient which was pleasing to see with activity off the field

There's certainly been an increase of away fans commenting on our attendances this season, think there must be a correlation with the fact we've lost 1 of the 15 home games.

Lot of cock waving init?
Been around too long and know it won't last.
Losing 2 out the last 47 home games means people kinda expect us to win, 3 or 4 defeats in a row and its bound to change!
Looks I'll be on my own at future midweek winter games as my daughter has said last night far too cold for her! So that's one lost already!

Our attendances have always been piss poor bar 2/3 seasons in the early 2000’s. 10 years ago the season we got relegated from this league we played MK Dons and Hereford at home infront of sub 2000 crowds. Given our current position and form I’m disappointed it dropped to 2900 last night but I’d of only expected 3200 max anyway.

Id say away games impact a good third of fans that would normally go on a Saturday. Living in Manchester I struggle for evening matches, but managed to "work from home" so did last night and can make the game against you boys. Hopefully crowds of 5,000 plus will be there for Coventry and yourselves, which id be happy with.

For Notts to lose that many between the 2 quid game and last night is crazy. As I said, what more can they do? They smashed Crewe 4-1 in the cheapo game, yet seemingly none of the punters came back.

You'll be getting more than us shortly. I'm certainly done. Not taking part in funding that lot in charge driving us to extinction

Luke you lost all credibility when you said ‘Forest not playing’

Mansfield nearly got 1000 less home fans against Newport than Barnet, incredible what a freezing Tuesday champions league night can do.

I thought your crowds were holding up very well - is it just ST Holders? Next season expect them take a caning though - STH often give benefit of the doubt for a season after a relegation expecting a bounce back and then feck off the next season if it continues to go wrong...

We had the same though. It's those who support the club over everything, as opposed to those that won't turn up due to who's in charge.

It's not an easy decision to make.

Again, been there done that, you have to go with your gut on this, but either way, you'll be queasy with your decision.

I've been in and out to be honest but I think the goings on off the pitch have just got too much for me. I boycotted home games for a year or so but returned when Lester got the job because I thought he was a legend and was bigger than those in charge so deserved the backing. But it's getting to the stage now where I think if you could guarantee me that we were rid of Allen, Carson and all his little grassing snakey mates at the club, then i'd take relegation. Let us start again without this because i'm certain that their end game will see the club extinct.

I can't be part of that and give my money to whatever they may be up too, and i'm sure there time will come and they will slip up and get what they deserve. But for now it seems like a battle, the fans can't win, and one I don't want to be seen publicly supporting. I've got train tickets booked to Carlisle on Saturday but after that I think i'm out until they are gone.

We've got about 3500 ST holders I think. Gate on Tuesday was 4300 with 200 away fans. Our average is about 5500 I think so yeah they are, but much of that is buoyed by the appointment of Lester. We've gone from regularly getting 8k+ to this though in a very short time, can only see things getting worse. Our away support has been terrible this season, the worst i've known it. Been a couple of occasions on a Sat we've taken well less than 250-300, unheard of really.

1,012 Swindon at Adams Park.

Odd that the Wilts Police football twitter feed quoted 1104, although Wycombe announced 1012

TBH, if that end holds the entire away allocation of 1800, then 1100 seems to have been shaved. There weren’t many empty seats - as can be seen.

There were plenty of empty seats - down the far end from where that photo was taken. From my seat in the Frank Adams top tier (the big stand), I estimated 1100. At least one third of that stand was empty.
