No to your request.

What kicked off the trouble? Our stewards are normally fine and we rarely see issues with away fans.

No way on this Earth was there only 316 Vale. I'd agree with Andy at least 500 and great noise.
The trouble was nothing to do with stewards, our knobs took umbrage with you scoring and tried to get at your lot in the side, who weren't shy in wanting a ruck either.
Be interesting any CCTV stuff as a few could get a ban from both clubs.

Cheers for the reply, no idea why we would give a misleading number of visiting supporters, it isn't something we have done before to my knowledge.

As for the trouble, a lot of our low life frequent the Lower Findus, so it is no surprise that they engaged in battle with your lot when given a chance to show their aggression. And I hope there are some bans for those that ruin it for normal people.

I agree with you mate , strange to put wrong figure. Any Grimsby fans think 316 was low or is it just us being picky !!

I’ll be honest and say that I don’t think it was 500 but was probably slightly more than the given figure. Only two reasons I can think of are tax fiddling or sheer incompetency at counting tickets. Great noise from the Vale fans too. I left as our goal went in (serves me right) so I didn’t see the trouble. But you could see that there was a group of Vale fans who might definitely have been ‘up for it’ from the way they celebrated the first, goading the main stand full of pensioners. The football may have been bad but the atmosphere wasn’t!

Maybe the 316 figure is just counting the fans that were still in the stand and didn't invade the pitch........

I have visited Cleethorpes many times for the games vs the Stags and normally away fans without pre purchased tickets have been directed to the ticket office to buy tickets. However this season I noticed that a number of ‘stewards’ were directing fans without tickets direct to the turnstiles and taking cash without giving out tickets. Just a suggestion why the low figure and I also comment when Mansfield visited that our figure was a bit ‘low’

I suspect the 316 was just tickets ‘sold’

Don't mention crowd numbers to Barnet fans -- They get very defensive. Mind you good support from Vale.

No way was there at least 500. 316 may have been slightly shy, but definitely not more than 400 I'd say..

I believe he is talking about exile ie fans from the area have moved away down south and in particular he London area. Lots of people move from Grimsby for a number of reasons including work, family and the fact that he think the place is a dump.

I expect the sam is true of port Vale/stoke.

And yes I mean all 3 examples

They are obviously still a viable concern, the website is advertising Walsall in 2014.
Be gobsmacked if there is more than 20 members.

Probably something like 50 to 100 London vale fans but I bet half of them arnt able to make games even if there right on there door stop. 193 is decent for us 350 mile round trip 11 without a win only 6 days notice for the game would have been 400 on a Saturday. Last time we played barnet on a Saturday at Underhill we took 696 but were top of the league then.
