Beautiful news Kenny, beautiful.

The scenario for the Stylish Magpies that day will have a huge impact on the overall attendance. The most likely scenario is it means nothing to Luton except a promotion party (you are very welcome) and little to Notts, possibly whether we are at home first or second in the play offs. Either way another 10,000+ attendance this season , our 5th which is superb and shows the advantage of being able to accommodate such large away followings.

If we need to win this to secure a play off spot, or highly unlikely outside chance of 3rd place the place will be a rocking.

Luton should be delighted that they aren’t massively restricted in terms of away allocation for such a celebratory last game of the season. Lucky you

I was there on the last occation we had an important final game of the season at Meadow Lane. Fortunately this time the result is not as important. Even if we lose out on the title we have achieved our main goal, promotion. I would even say that the football match will be secondary to the pre and post match partying that will be done in the city. Also fortunate that it is at a ground that can offer a large away allocation. Credit to Notts County for coming out early with a decision on the away allocation giving fans plenty of time to plan their trip. Shame that Carlisle didn't do the same instead of drip feeding our allocation and making it difficult for our fans to plan. A stadium that holds 17k and gets no more than 5k should be able to make it pay on the day and allocate both seating and terracing.

I remember going Meadow Lane with Man City on a Bank holiday years and years ago. City had about 10'000 there and I might be wrong but sure it was 3-0 to County and it was kicking off everywhere. My mind plays tricks but I swear the County manager was on the pitch with a microphone appealing for calm. Think it finished 3-2 , good day. And it was the good old days of pay on the day

Love Meadow Lane, steeped in history however you view it, that said I love Nottingham as a city.

Talking of last day away followings remember Wolves dragging about 8k to ours in 2002, they could have won promotion if the results went their way but WBA (and lifelong Owl Gary Megson) clawed back a crackers points deficit in the run in to do em, was funny as fuck watching em mope especially with us lot singing about Meggo.

Was an odd game, they went in front inside about 30 seconds, we went 2-1 up, Lescott levelled then in injury time we got a pen, Kuqi and Sibon argued over who took it, 50p head missed ended up Desmond.

Luton away in 04 chucking away an early 2-0 lead to lose 3-2 on the last day was a sickener but it was my only trip to KR so good memories, another cracking ground, not a fan of the place but I did have to live there for a bit.

Haha I remember that season well too, Wolves were 8 points clear of West Brom in 3rd before we played em at Molineux and beat em 1-0, that was the game the Wolves fans were giving us the cut throat gestures.
Wolves completely imploded after that defeat to us got chased down by Brom and then they lost in the play offs to Norwich which I was very happy about after what absolute wankers their fans were when we beat em. :bg1:

Meadow Lane struggles with atmosphere from the home end but it’s a fantastic stadium.

Best one in Nottingham.

Yeah I'd agree with that too, it was mid 90's when I went to County and I thought it was a brilliant ground, atmosphere was a strange one on that day though as it was the last game of season and Notts were already relegated to the 3rd tier and we were sat in mid table yet for some reason we celebrated our goals like we had won the league, back then away fans were behind the goal too and the view was incredible.
I liked Forest's too but County's is definitely the better of the two, although we lost at Forest to Carlton Donkey Palmer's late winner so maybe that's swayed my thinking a bit.

There could be sub 500 away fans in the Kop back in the 90s and they could still create a decent noise due to the huge roof above!

Must admit wasn’t keen on moving home fans there to begin with, but Im happy to report I was wrong. It’s been a great move for overall atmosphere at the ground in L1/L2.

When we play a side with a poor away following , it struggles to get much going due to the size of the stadium. That’s to be expected. The away fans usually think they are loud but I’m sat opposite and it doesn’t travel as well as the noise to my left from the Kop.

But any vocal 1000+ away following plus good home numbers in the Kop can produce a great atmosphere. Big games against genuine big teams prove that, Cov last week was good from both sets of fans from the first whistle. This season due to increased attendances we’ve had some decent atmospheres at the Lane especially compared to many grounds I’ve visited. Having 4 stands also helps lol

I did forget that Sheff Wed came up with us in 2005 in League One.

Don't think there's anywhere else that we could put away fans even if we wanted to.

No official number of Grimsby at Swindon but been on their forum and one of their fans reckons about 600 and I've watched a blog from a a Swindon fan where he zooms in on the away end and it looks pretty full so I reckon 600 is not too far off.

598 vale at mansfield which aint bad considering its 2 wins in 18 matches. Hopefully next season we will be in the top 7 when we play them and take 1500 or so.

Understandable really, but it is a bit gutting that there will be empty seats when people are being turned away. I'm sure we could sell at least another 1,000.

Gutting???? Lol
I’m not having that Kenneth, you’ve been given nice and early 4500 tickets. If you want a ticket, you’ll have got one. If you a desperate to watch the Hatters celebrations, sit in stand opposite and be polite.

What’s the average allocation in L2, you could easily have had less than 2000 Available tickets at most clubs on the final game of the season.

When you look around you’ll see it would be impossible to house you anywhere else as there will be plenty of home fans in attendance :)

So at the end of this season (with all tickets at Notts County sold), over 32,000 Hatters fans will have gone through the gates at away grounds with an average of just under 1,400 per game, with another 8,000ish in cup matches.

Phenomenal support.
