I didn’t realise how impressive Lincoln’s away numbers were. Lincoln fans - if you don’t manage to go up, can you see yourself maintaining those numbers - basically is it weighted on the fact you’re on a bit of a roll these last couple of seasons?

Only reason I ask is that I was hopefully we might actually challenge for top spot for something for once (if Coventry went up at your expense btw)!

Reckon the Trannies will be up there next season too.

They've done amazingly well. The away numbers they've had this season aren't far off what they were getting at home a few seasons ago :)

Our away average the season just gone at 386 is the lowest we’ve had since I’ve started supporting us by a distance. Doesn’t help getting relegated with 4 games to spare but even so, to have Wigan, Dale, Blackburn and Oldham in the same division and still only average 386 away is abysmal.

The last few seasons of utter mismanagement on and off the field have created a real apathy amongst the fan base where you’re just wasting money to watch us.

In times gone by, we were shit, but at least the players weren’t flash and actually gave a shit. The last few seasons on and off the field have been an embarrassment.

We used to be the best % home and away in the country usually taking 17-18% of home support away... last season it was just 13%.

Some tragic followings last season, just 1,200 to Rochdale, 750 to Oldham and 293 to Fleetwood are particularly bad.

Next season if we are struggling again they will only get worse. The club just needs some stability and common sense about it with pride for the shirt and the fans will be back on the road. We have produced some tremendous followings in this league over the years for a club our size, hopefully we can do it again next season but I won’t hold my breath.

If the Cowleys stay, which looks likely given they recently signed new contracts, I'd expect it to stay pretty high.

I’ve been to New York City , like literally, like 5 times ! Just saying!

I may mention it in future match threads on a far too regular basis. Not that it’s as good as Manchester , obviously.

There is fuck all fancy about Manchester to be fair not sure why AdamStag feels the need to mention it so often.

Maybe it’s that bad back in Mansfield I don’t know.

Course there is, but say the Sheffield’s weds fan wondered why it only took me an hour to get to morecambe, and i had to explain, or how it only took me 25 mins to Crewe on the train, ask questions, you get the answers

Only Adam knows why he feels the need to mention it in a couple of dozen match threads per season. I suspect It’s either he’s embarrassed of Mansfield, or he doesn’t get out of UK that ofte? I don’t know.

Either way it’s good solid piss taking material and It certainly amuses a fair few on here.

Looks like us contentious Luton fans will be replaced well. We should also be a bit more warmly greeted if this is who we're replacing
