How can anything be more accurate than the actual numbers? Take Exeter. According to your extrapolation their figure nearly doubles from their actual figure.

Because we haven't had any away trips of less than 200 miles yet.
Our 5 closest games - Swindon, Rovers, FGR, Newport and Walsall, all come after Christmas.

Well, it’s pointless until every club has played every game. Not singling Exeter out but if a club’s form suddenly tails off then their away support will also.

The only figure that counts for anything is the actual number of fans who turn up.

What's more impressive, 1000 fans travelling 50 miles or 600 fans travelling 250 miles?

By contrast, we have yet to go yourselves, or Swindon, Bristol Rovers, FGR, or Newport. Our numbers are currently higher than you might expect and are likely to dip, especially if the form falls off in the wake of Challinor's departure. He was a big factor in the feelgood atmosphere around the club. Our numbers have been hugely impressive (673 to Orient is inarguably excellent) but it remains to be seen how long they'll hold.

As I said, the only figure that counts is when every club has played every game. There are also plenty of away grounds that are so limited in away capacity. We’ve been restricted to ridiculous numbers at certain grounds. Bristol Rovers only gave us 700 for a local derby.

For those clubs who would only take, say, 600 no matter where doesn’t take into account those at other clubs that would take 2000+ if there was the capacity.

That’s why these figures are not truly representative of a club’s away following.

Chill out, its just an indication.
But clearly there is something wrong if Little old Hartlepool are above the biggest club in the World, Bristol Rovers, in any table...

Of course there isn't a perfect system, and all clubs with a reasonable following will have already encountered allocation issues. But factoring miles into the method is perfectly valid. Imagine a season in which Colchester were in the same division as Oldham, Bradford, Stockport, Rochdale, Grimsby, Wigan, Accrington, Salford, Hull, Huddersfield, Bolton, Wrexham, Blackburn, Tranmere, Chester, Harrogate... it's only fair that some method to rank away support takes account of the additional miles they face every other week while their rivals potter around the M62.

The numbers will fluctuate over the season as teams dip in and out of form. I'd expect us to drop a few places once the fixtures are complete. We'll be below Bradford, Bristol Rovers and Swindon, maybe a couple of others. I might be able to handle the disappointment

Actually I think its you who need to chill out. Your starting to sound like some of those Barnet fans did a few years ago.

Ours is pretty decent considering we've already been to Scunthorpe, Stevenage, Swindon, Forest Green, Sutton and Crawley and it's only just gone into November.

Still got the new ground factors at Barrow and Harrogate to come, plus Hartlepool, Oldham, Salford, Walsall, Bradford, Leyton Orient, Rochdale, Tranmere etc..

Total attendance corrected to 4484 from 3831

Unfortunately, a technical error led to the incorrect announcing of Saturday's attendance at home to Tranmere Rovers.

For clarity, the attendance inside One Call Stadium was 4,484, which included 630 visiting fans.

.
There did seem more than 3,200 home fans I must admit.

Fuck off. That can’t be true surely.
Corrected: we scored two at Harrogate a couple of weeks ago, which had slipped my attention. Carlisle scored another on our behalf. Three goals in eight games is a paltry return though.

Steady enough stuff from us considering we’ve been to both Cumbrian clubs and only one game under a 250 mile round trip. Delightful Saturday/Tuesday double-header at Rochdale & Scunthorpe to come. Fuck mine this division is relentlessly Northern.

You've spelt "refreshingly" wrong ;)

A couple of years ago in the National League, if you'd hived off the 12 most southerly clubs into their own mini-league, you'd have had to leave Boreham Wood behind in the north!

In fairness, Boreham Wood is north of the Tiverton North/South divide, so that would be their correct placement. Northern barstewards are those Londoners.

Yeah, that was fantastic. Don’t think we played a match outside the M25 for 11 consecutive games.

We’ve sold out our Newport allocation - 1,031, I think.

We have sold 410 in one day for the Vale game i can see us taking about a 1000 shame its a Tuesday night really or it would have been more a lot of it seems to be fuelled by some of our fans hatred of Mr Clarke myself i couldnt give a toss now we have all moved on for the better.

Aye if it was a Saturday would imagine you’d be looking at bringing up to 1500 or thereabouts. Hopefully can get a big home attendance for this too regardless which reckon will be the case especially if we can get a result against Bradford and Oldham prior to that.

I suspect DC will not mind in the least if he gets some stick. He seems the kind of character who thrives off it more than anything.

Mansfield have sold 1200 for their trip to the stadium of light, but of course no way near the 7,000 that barrocelona sold the other year.

865 estuary slags packed into their caravan. Don’t be too impressed - it’s only about 20 minutes by train.

Sunderland too embarrassed to post the attendance. Looked less than 5,000 home fans, only one stand opened for home fans.
