Actually it’s a few more than that.

‘As a result of the Robins already selling 2,300 tickets, and successfully requesting a further 1,360, Walsall Season-Ticket holders in the Community Stand will be relocated and offered the opportunity to bring a Friend For A Fiver.’

sounds a pretty shit deal for the walsall ST holders.

Rumours are we’re only giving Barrow the seated section for the game on the 26th. The club can’t see Barrow bringing enough to warrant opening the terrace, meaning it’ll be used for home fans that game.

Side note, 634 tickets sold for Northampton, went on sale to “silver members” at midday today. Can see them all being gone by 2pm. Be interesting to see if NTFC budge and give us some more tickets. Can’t see it personally, especially as there will probably be something riding on it.

Yeah I don't think you’ll get any more, especially considering we filled the overflow away section for the Tranmere game a few weeks ago.

They’re just making sure they sell tickets in advance for a game which, by the time it’s played, may not matter.

Shrewd money making gesture.

They are getting 'rewarded' with a bring a friend for a fiver for that game. Personally think its a great touch by Walsall for being so accommodating.

If i were being moved i’d want a pie and a pint.

Such a cynical old git. You aren't wrong but at the end of the day we are now likely to get enough tickets to supply demand. Win win for both us and Walsall really. I'm going regardless of whether we have anything to play for or not, hour up the M1, jobs a Good'un.

How many have Northamton sold for this weekend?

650 start of play yesterday, pretty dire. Although I know a fair few who bought them yesterday, including my group of 15, but still to not get close to selling out is piss poor.

I didn’t think we would, as I said a few days ago there doesn’t seem to be much enthusiasm, more an acceptance we’ll bottle it which is. When we pissed the league under Wilder we sold out the full whack and even that O’Toole day we took 1,300 (though was there a ticket deal?)

Mystifying.

We are averaging 351 on the road this season, which is about average for us. We usually range from 300 - 400. Remaining games this season at Swindon, Sutton and Port Vale may lift the average a bit.
Seems to be some good away numbers this season across the division.

Think you can pay on the day aswell mate, usually you can but police might shit themselves and stop that happening if they think they'll end up with too many coming up.

Yeah again I know of a few planning to POTD. Probably end up fetching 1,000.

well it’s what sides do on the pitch and not how many they have, but it’s still a surprise.

Still on the post-covid bounce innit.

Hope the crowds keep up although i was a bit disappointed with our 4500 the other night. Whether the bounce is flattening out or it's just we've got nowt to play for only time will tell.

AdamStag Richard Cranium my mate has just picked his ticket up, he says the fella in the club shop told him we’re selling the second batch of 400. Couple hundred left.

So would put current sales at around 1000 with today and POTD left. Bit more respectable.

Exeter have sorted their ticketing mess for our game with Vale... a list has been provided and cross checked with our database so all season ticket holders who purchased will get first dibs (as some had purchased hotels/travel). Season ticket holders will then get the usual time to purchase before general sale.

Looks as though Exeter are also looking to give us an extended allocation of away tickets so that will be good if its a crucial game.

Do you have a 'firm' that travels looking for trouble.

The reason I ask is that last couple of times you have been to Valley Parade, there has been a far heavier police presence in town and outside the ground than for other games, despite you bringing one of the lowest in numbers

It’ll be tasty next weekend when they visit the CG.

I’m travelling back for this one!

Extended allocation? That will be interesting, we haven't done that all season and this might well be the most crucial if games

There’s always bother when we play them, the police is always higher when they’re in town. like half of them are missing a chromosome or something.

I guess the Welsh/English thing often adds 'spice'

Well if you’ve an IQ of gnat maybe, but that nonsense doesn’t wash with me.

No excuses for needless trouble which gives 99% of fans a bad name.

I’m embarrassed for those who masquerade as “fans” to have a saturday punch up, grow the fuck up.

though of course clearly newport aren’t the only fans with such “fans”

Don't think so. We have a few bellends just like most clubs but they tend to only appear in local games v Gas, Swindon etc local games. Only away game where I personally saw any aggro this season was up at Scunthorpe outside the pub on the retail park.

We’ve sold over 3,000 tickets for the final game of the season at Walsall. Should shift the final 500, too.

Bit of a bummer if we have nothing to play for by then! Canny marketing by Walsall for selling them so far in advance.

Yep, should be a good one. Usually a warm welcome from the locals on the walk to and from the station. Exeter tomorrow and Swindon next week will make or break our season - need 4 points at least.

Completely agree with you. A side of football I've never understood. You see all sorts at football really, both positive and negative.
