Mansfield being the 3rd highest attendance in L2 is mind blowing, especially if you were born and raised in Nottinghamshire.

Nearly 7000 home fans is frankly absurd for MTFC. Surely the most impressive recent jump in support at this level? Well I'm very impressed great work Uncle John and Lady Carolyn.

Great support, I do wonder if there's a significant amount of Mansfield reds attending ? judging by the amount of forest fans in the town centre celebrating after beating Arsenal to secure Premier football.
Any concrete plans to redevelop the Bishop stand ?

Been a few issues over the last 6 months or so, but Cheshire police are going way over the top with all this in my opinion. If they can't handle 40-50 kids I fear for them if they come up against a real hooligan element any time soon. They're threatening us with closing down stands and have forced the clubs arm into banning under 18s from going behind the goal unaccompanied by an adult. Which has resulted in a much smaller home crowd and a rubbish atmosphere, whereas the last few games, especially the Newport game recently its been pretty good.
Seen a few videos over the last 6 months of your young en's trying to kick off, I fear we have a similar problem at Donny, seen loads of 15-18 years olds hanging round the alleys waiting to jump away fans lately, what needs to happen is for both sets to get volleyed all over town one day, it might make a few drop out & the others just go for a good day instead of trying to become famous in their circles on tiktok by chasing smaller numbers of away fans, although worryingly on the Donny sides is these young scroates are travelling to away games too.

Lincoln going up to 10000 most weeks is a bigger jump, but yeah fair play to the Staggies.

Mansfield fans are absolutely ecstatic with that attendance - you’re welcome!

We will always clap a side who fills the away end, you always do and travel well - hence why you get the clap.

It was actually very close to that today to be fair, but your passion and persistence for this subject is admirable.

It was pretty much sold out but i absolutely hate we do it on tickets sold, i despised it when other clubs did it long before we did.

I don’t get the point of it, the club will have to know what the actual attendance is for health and safety reasons etc, so why not just announce that.

Lots of clubs now do it but i’d love someone to enlighten me on what the actual benefit of announce tickets sold than the actual attendance is.

Lincoln's went up the year they went up from non-League.

We could well have got that yesterday with more capacity - certainly need too improve what we offer to away fans, even if it’s another 1500 or so overall.

You are certainly going to need to offer more next season with the likes of Derby and Pompey as likely visitors to the One Call Stadium.

Another 3000 sounds about right to me, allows big 5 figure attendances when the big boys are in town and potential if Mansfield were to ever reach the 2nd tier again.

Interested to see what we do for the derby, I think there’s a possibility we could cut the away allocation to 1,800 or whatever it is, halve that stand with home fans and still sell out or near enough. Whether the police would let us is another matter.

Mansfield increases is not a spur of the moment thing, it’s been a mostly steady increase year on year but has jumped up more in the past two.

All with pretty much nothing to celebrate about, other than getting battered at Wembley.

Yesterday was nearly a sell out except individual seats which is probably turning people away who want to come with mates so we definitely need more room.

It was the FA Cup run that year that kick started it, they weren't getting 10000 at the start of the season, but yeah fair enough they were selling out midway through their promotion season.

...would make a mockery of the stand isn't fit for a full capacity excuse though. If the SAG/police line is that 2500/3000 is the max then filling it with two sets of rival fans sounds like an absolutely ridiculous idea. I guess it depends how big the divide is though? I've never really got the concourse excuse as they block off the part of the concourse that serves the empty bit of the stand anyway so it's not like they're adding more space back there.

2900 wouldn't be enough but it’s your prerogative if you’re at home.

It’s great we’d be such a draw for the county fans though

We’ve split it a couple of times recently, against Boreham Wood in the play-offs and the cheap game against Yeovil. The BWood game was sold out to home fans but the half of that stand our fans were in was still only 2/3 full or something so it’s definitely at reduced capacity.

I wouldn't cut the away allocation when Mansfield visit, don't take away their Big Day Out. It's the highlight of the season.

For Boreham Wood you could’ve just put all Notts fans in there and just stuck an extra dug out at the front for the 10 Boreham Wood fans.

They brought 1000 ish amazingly enough.

Given the Mansfield game is on an international break and if our results continue as they are, it’s entirely plausible that we’d have enough home demand to split the stand, same with the Wrexham game.

Would love to see it, can’t see the rozzers going for it though.

Perhaps the Notts/Stags game will be on Sky tv as it is international weekend.

A good excuse to move kick off time.

Wrexham vs salford is conveniently international weekend haha. Whereas it would be a fair assumption to say the county vs mansfield game would be bigger that would count for sod all (well as big as games can be in the 4th division)

Unobtainable goal? Like Mansfield Town in the Championship? :ohy:

We aren't trying to be your rival, you are just local. You've got Chesterfield, we wouldn't want to get in the way of that famous fierce lower league derby.

Unfortunately, as I've said many times, as long as the Head of Football Policing in the UK (A senior Cheshire Police officer) is allowed to have his ridiculous views on football fans unchallenged, then we're going to be the guinea pigs for horrendous police overkill. As I've also said before, this is the same police force who have caused major delays to the solar farm as they believe football hooligans will break the panels which is absolutely hilarious reasoning. It just wouldn't happen.
