Wrexham and Grimsby are brothers in shitness from our National League days. That's why we were donating money to get them to Wembley after they knocked us out of the play offs. Got a lot of time for our Fishy brethren.

Crewe and Wrexham used to have a bit of needle but that was about 80 years ago. And they were never the biggest travellers. Most of the issues stemmed around Robbie Savage-Wrexhams least favourite son.

Took about 5 days to sell less than 100 tickets, but truth be told, I think we sold out days ago and the club forgot to announce.

This whole ticketing sitatuation round Wrexham is absolutely shit. I go home and away everywhere I can and have done for 20 years, but the local ones like Tranmere (proper struggle but somehow managed) and Stockport (went on sale and not even got a sniff at getting any).

Not surprised our allocation has been cut for more segregation. We've had an increase in disorder since the back end of last season, the Bradford game last season and Walsall this season have seen abit of trouble, been a few others aswell. Vale then cut our allocation to just 1000, now we've banned under 18s from going behind the goal at home unless with an adult, which equates to about 75% of the fans that go in that stand, we were even threatened with them shilutting the stand all together. Hopefully it's all just something that blows over and we can get back to normal without the restrictions.

Never any beef between us and Wrexham to be fair. Got given a list of "no go pubs" for the playoff match last season and I went in one of them pre-match and every single Wrexham fan I spoke to in there was sound. Whole day everywhere was just Wrexham and Town fans chatting so it's actually a refreshing change for a club/SAG to treat us fairly when there's no reason not to.
Tell that to the 10 or so Wrexham yoof who tried it on at the Blundell Park Hotel 2 minutes before kick off at our last home game with them, receiving a sound pasting off a some game scarfers, before the police ran in and effectively formed a protective barrier around the poor little mites. I don't in any way condone aggro by the way but when a bunch of knobbers go looking for it and they find it with bells on, there is a quiet satisfaction.

Anyway, isn't lamb a better term than beef for this respective tussle?

We've sold 1100 to ST holders for Bradford and now on general sale. Probably end up about 1500 which is alright for the kick off time and being on the box

Must be just us and Crewe they have rump with.
Couldn't care less about Bradford.

Definitely right to be cautious about the Walsall lot, they appear to be causing no end of issues on their travels this year.

Can see Tranmere, Stockport and Newport being the only other clubs that are given less than the full whack because of potential trouble (though I don't see Newport selling that out). Tinpotters like Crawley, FGR, Morecambe, Harrogate and Salford might get just the bottom corner as they'll probably bring less than 400.

If only you knew what I know and whose venturing up for the league encounter, your viewpoint might change come season end.

Our point system eradicates any potential for hooliganism because you allocate such poor numbers.

Probably won't get a ticket for Wrexham as this is my first season without an ST since 00-01. Shouldn't be any trouble since you've got to be late 30s minimum to remember Wrexham away but no doubt our teenage knobheads will be out embarrassing themselves.

Excited to hear how Cheshire Police and their colleagues in the Heddlu Gogledd Cymru fuck this one up for the fans. I expect we'll be banned from drinking in Wrexham so it'll be a Town Cryer in Chester job and then kettled in from Wrexham General Station to the away end, watch us get smoked then back the station kettled again.

Honestly not too disappointed if I don't get a ticket when you put it that way...

Our away support is decent for a so called Tinpotter! Definitely bring far more than those other clubs you mention.

420 tickets had been sold yesterday morning - so a reasonable estimate would be 450 Barrow fans

I’m confused by the away following from Bradford they were allocated more than the official attendance and we announce ticket sold not attended.

That being said it did look about right because it was not completely packed.

Our lowest home crowd of the season after the clubs ridiculous decision to ban un accompanied under 18s from the Gresty Rd end. Also a big police presence and road closures for a home game vs MK Dons which is ridiculous, but seems like this is going to be the norm for the foreseeable future, again a big waste of money.

Yeah, a very odd heavy police presence today. We thought it was down to us! We did take a relatively big crowd to yours last time and it’s an easy run (with not train strikes - last train back to MK was 4:37) but that was really over the top from the moment we arrived. We got told on Twitter and in person by the OB that it was all down to kids on your side. Not sure why, but you’ll know better than me if it’s a genuine issue, I guess?

Been a few issues over the last 6 months or so, but Cheshire police are going way over the top with all this in my opinion. If they can't handle 40-50 kids I fear for them if they come up against a real hooligan element any time soon. They're threatening us with closing down stands and have forced the clubs arm into banning under 18s from going behind the goal unaccompanied by an adult. Which has resulted in a much smaller home crowd and a rubbish atmosphere, whereas the last few games, especially the Newport game recently its been pretty good.

It was actually very close to that today to be fair, but your passion and persistence for this subject is admirable.
Thanks - probably down to cricket scoring and also being a wicket keeper when I was younger - big difference between byes and leg byes…
