From our OS:

TICKETS

Over 1,900 of you will be at Prenton Park this afternoon to cheer on the Bantams.

Please note there will be no ticket sales on the day”

Weird, could’ve sworn we were only given 1,700.
Crikey great following that , will hyper inflate Tranmeres average attendance even more though - Notts must have taken decent numbers there aswell . They only normally get 5k to 5.5k home fans but their average att will be over 7k .

I remember when we took over there once many moons ago on the last day in league 1 with a load of chancers it was dire hopefully your boys fare better today

Chesterfield's stadium capacity is over 10,000?! :ohm: , that avoids any potential tinpottery.

Great to see another 5 figure attendance at a L2 club. Well done Chesterfield

Some very healthy following there.

I wonder how many other sides will take over 1000 to whatever Chesterfield stadium is called this season.

Well done Bradford - top of home and away support this week.
Tranmere (h) & Newport (a) only figures missing.

The Carlisle following is very impressive for the distance and how they are playing.

The best in the EFL considering distance and home crowds; I wonder what the true potential is though; effectively, a single club county apart from Barrow enclave. It would be like us or Lincoln only having Boston or that lower tier club near Donny to compete with.

A few clubs at least.

Walsall have already
Grimsby would have / maybe did (can’t be arsed to check)
Bradford
Vale
Doncaster

at least, then there’s always some randomer up at the top of the table who you wouldn’t expect who brings a few.

PS The lack of a true name for our ground also annoys me. I just call it Whitt Moor.

What is the away allocation at Chesterfield by the way?. I would have thought you sold your full allocation being one of your more local games?

They have us 999 and then we asked really nicely and they gave a few dozen extra.

It was less that and more that they sold out the home end but got permission to open up some extra seats (guess front rows or something) so had to find us a few more from the segregation or they’d have got in trouble for not giving 10%, apparently.

I've just checked the rulebook and it says here that willy waving over an extra 30 tickets for a fixture you only sold about half of the allocation for last time it was an EFL fixture instantly revokes you from the big boyz club.

With your ever striking ground capacity, four figure restrictions and higher than the norm restriced view tickets you sadly don't qualify for revoking duties.

Space Corp Big Boyz Club Directive 34124 applies.

Having a sub-3000 home crowd in the EFL in the last 10 years Cambridge (2016/17) overrules your overruling

As does “significantly inflated” home attendances due to inclusion of unused tickets

Grimsby Town fans clearly haven't read the BBC Directives. We got over 12,000 in that very same season. Nice webpage though.

You have to go back almost 30 years since GTFC qualified..... and that was in the 2nd tier. Maybe stick to away following only.

Significantly?? :ffs:

I think looks like a county fans words?

Last time we averaged 5 figures was over 40 years ago. Our second tier spell pre-all seater coincided with low attendances everywhere - clubs like Wolves, Boro, Bolton and Leicester were getting sub 5 figure crowds. In that period only in the top tier were your crowds averaging 5 figures and generally no better than ours despite the much bigger away capacity.

All seater legislation didnt need to apply to a ground like ours. Even cutting terrace capacity to the same density as seats on safety grounds would have still left us with 12k+ with the corners.

Fans forum this coming friday , I'm hoping there are some questions about the ground situation , disabled facilities , capacity and all those restricted view seats ; I have sent one in will be interesting if it's asked . My more in depth questions never seem to be though and its silly one's about scotch eggs etc

There is no ‘ground situation’! The owners have said many times a new ground is not in the agenda currently. ( unless you have a spare £60-80m hanging around? )

The restricted view seats have been dramatically decreased following the removal of half the support posts in the Main Stand. There isn’t a lot more that can be done.

When asked, the disabled supporters didn’t want moving to a different area of the ground. They considered getting wet was part of the ‘real’ football experience
