Decent effort from Crewe yesterday.

We are bitter and twisted, neurotic, and lacking self-worth. We travel all over to tinpot village teams for 6 years. Then as soon as we get some success, the top scorer, our best defender and now our manager feck off. We don't smell of Gy docks on a mid summer afternoon any more...what is wrong with us...

We're not!? But that that's brilliant news. Why didn't John Fenty tell us, would have cheered the fans no end? Expect he was keeping it for his Christmas address. Or maybe for his next announcement alongside the news that we are appointing a former Scunthorpe United manager as the new manager. After all if Paddy Hamilton can appoint Ron Ashman, whose main skills were Travel Agency, John Fenty can appoint the great Russ Wilcox...

If you look at our away form (3 wins and 2 draws in 8), it highlights how the prospect of a trip round the M25 ending in Crawley was probably a major factor. For me, possibly our least attractive fixture of the season.
