Good work, WO.

Not sure our away numbers will be as high next season as this, but we'd be in at around 6th for both home and away averages on those figures.

Only three clubs brought more to us than we took to them (Portsmouth, Plymouth and Grimsby). Massive.
Similar story to us just Plymouth and Pompey brought more. Doubly Massive. :bg1:

Thanks for all your work in this Walkley. Have you got the first list you usual put up of away fans from most to least though?

Yep, top work Mr. Owl. I knew Plymouth were gonna pip us to bronze medal. Still, we could be the only team in the top 5 of that not go up. Not bad for 14th and nothing to play for for the vast amount of 2017. Of course the most important table is once again %age of home fans taken away. Hopefully, we can keep up these numbers next season. I've only managed to get to a couple of the ones localish to London since getting back to the UK, but will be getting back on the away days a bit more next season. I went to a shitload of the Buckley Mark III/Woods/Rodger/Newell tripe/gash/depression/fiasco so I need to get some experience of this winning and attacking stewards with inflatables malarky.

The away fans at stadium numbers show just how crucial it was for us to get back up, an average of 464 this year as opposed to around 110/120 or so in the Conference, the extra revenue there just from extra away fans is roughly £100000.
Added to that increased home gates on the back of promotion, thank God we got out of there when we did.

Yeah, average is 199 down here/there but that's inflated mainly due to the top 4 or 5.

272 Chester
268 Maidstone

when we were down in purgatory ville we were slated as johnny big bollocks
yet it cant be understated the effect it made to the opposition club coffers that we took thousands of fans to their grounds...even making up 50% of the total attendance...cant see how the long term future of some of them still down there will pan out now.
good luck to FGR i say...at least the owner isnt doing a winkleman !!

Think the biggest away % for us was at Alfreton 2500 Grimsby in total crowd of 3327, can't be arsed to work out properly but off the top of my head it's around 75% not that I'm bragging........ :bdick:

I can remember when we played Hayes & Yeading once at Woking and I think the official attendance was about 350. At least 250 of those were Town fans, maybe more. They just had a small corner on the far side of the ground. It was unsegregated though but most of our fans were behind one goal and the large stand behind the opposite goal wasn't even open.

To be fair on that, Woking is miles away from Hayes and Yeading - I was very surprised to hear they'd been relocated there when there were plenty of other bearer possibilities.

I know people say the conference is tinpot but 5 years or so ago there were some really small clubs down there. Now you're just left with the likes of Forest Green :bdick:

Our last non league game was v Hyde. They genuinely gave us the whole ground bar one corner where the home fans congregated. The attendance was around 2700 with about 2400 from Luton!

They never had any fans. On a much smaller scale there was around 450 there on a Tuesday night with 350 odd from us. Daft

Thanks for all the attendances mr owl.

Can imagine our home attendances and away will improve next season especially with the additions of Chesterfield Lincoln and Coventry

We had around 2200 out 2389 at North Ferriby thanks to the post office :2thumb:
Our home attendance was 5162 up from 2596.
Couple other bits our last 11 home league games we averaged 7061 and from December including the cup ties it's 7442.
The feelgood or bandwagon factor is still going strong it appears after a week of sales of season tickets we'd sold 2500 and by today (day 8 of sales) people are STILL queuing for them!!! It's crazy!!! We must have sold well over 3000 and the prices have gone up!
Never known anything like it in 35 years of being an Imp.

Fair play on that home average. What did you used to average in this division during the early/mid 00s KA playoff seasons?

Initial allocation of 1784 from Chesterfield. I thought I'd read it's usually about 2800?

The away stand holds about 2,000 odd, but when they had Sheff Utd they gave them some tickets down the side.

We'd probably shift that if going for promotion when we've got them there towards the end of the season, but can't see the plod allowing it

Ah okay cheers. Thought someone had said it holds a bit more than that. Can see us requesting more, so hopefully they'll give us some of this side too. Not that it matters to me, I'd already agreed to go to my Auntie's birthday. Can't remember the last time we had a decent opening day fixture. Boston at home in like 2006/07 (?), maybe? Was gutted when I saw the fixture list!

The first two blocks of the East stand are not currently on sale which suggests that they will be giving them to us once we sell these lot out, which looks like it will be tomorrow as 1200+ already sold today.

1900 behind goal, 800 down side if you sell them. We won't be needing them anymore that's for sure

We've only been given 1784 behind the goal. Maybe front row taped off on Plod advice?

I think we've sold a handful for Accrington on the opening day. New season buzz is everywhere at the moment.

Your allocation for our place will be 1900 (you won't get any more) behind the goal with terrible views on the top 5 rows. Nice supporters bar though.

Yeovil and Lincoln, in particular, will be interested to note that we have been given only 350 tickets for our opening fixture at Exeter - due to ground re-development..

Initial sales are to season ticket holders only (1 ticket). We'll probably sell most of them, despite the prospect of august traffic jams on the M5 for those not taking the train. Some of us are making it a long weekend, with Bristol Rovers on the following Tuesday night - ticket just £5 for me..
