Poor from GTFC then putting away fans before home.
The rules say we need to offer 10% of capacity to away fans.( approx 900) The corner holds circa 600.

We therefore ask what they expect to sell. If less than 600 they get the corner, if more they get behind the goal.

For the more local/ better supported clubs they get the 1200 initially then GTFC have a decision to make. Do we think we will sell the extra tickets? The thought was that if Donny could sell out the full allocation of 1800 that would make commercial sense as many of the ‘freebies’ to schools etc normally make up a fair few of the home support in the Osmond.
It is a commercial decision to try and maximise income. It isn’t a regular occurrence and I understand getting full take up from home supporters is the priority and 1st call.

A little late here, sorry. 178 Swindon at Tranmere.

Also, 79 Fleetwood at Walsall.

Can't find anything for Barrow at Donny

My records show that both Bradford & Chesterfield have identical away support of 1232 but Bradford is above Chesterfield in alphabetical order.
Port Vale is 3rd with 1175 away support BUT all the rest have away support in just 3 numbers.

Of course a lot depends on the away fixtures and allocations/capacities you've been given so far this season.

Only TWO clubs averaging over 10,000 at home games so far this season.

We've already had trips to Gillingham (early KO), MK, Swindon and Colchester. Wimbledon away next week, and Bromley a few weeks later. Most of our 'local' (relative term) games come late in the season, so our average should climb considerably toward the business end.

Would have been ahead had Notts not held back the allocation. Think we should get a token 100 on the average for fairness and that…

Newport away next Friday will be a low one too. Ridiculous shift for tv, it’s a right trek was down that was for a wedding last month in Usk

We’re due a win, which could come tonight against Newport. Then onto Tranmere at the weekend. Originally, I was adamant we’d sell out but our form has fallen off a cliff. We should clear 1,250+ at Tranmere, which will put us top.

Thanks - makes sense. It’s the first time the club have had doubts that home fans would fill or close to fill the corner for one the bigger league games in the fixture list. We are about 500 STs down on last season and that combined with the game being 12.30 and televised likely influenced the decision. Then we go and win 3 on the trot and get a near sell out.

I’m a bit baffled that the ST seat release is still so under used - 500 empty seats at the game but only 100 left for sale on the morning of the game.

Problem in this division is allocations are generally smaller obviously so thats going to make it harder compared to the league above.

We've sold out Salford and Notts County, expect we will sell out Crewe, Walsall, Fleetwood, Bromley, Chesterfield and possibly AFC Wimbledon. Tranmere if still going strong we may go close. If in the promotion mix up I would expect Carlisle to sell out too being at the end of the season.

Other than that should take decent numbers to Bradford for a change being Boxing Day so would hope we can keep well over the 1000 average.

What is great and these problems affect more than just Vale in this division is what other country has those kind of numbers in the 4th tier of the league. Superb all round really.

Our aways so far this season have been Fleetwood, Barrow, Carlisle, Gillingham and then Notts on a fucking Thursday at 8pm when there were no trains which knocked about 1500 off one of our most nailed on bumper followings. A real early season stitch up.

There will be a good chance of Donny away being Thursday night 13th February…

722 sold so far for MK this weekend. Would be good to push 4 figures on that one which is traditionally one that we travel modestly to.

Surprised you don’t travel well to that - direct fast trains every hour?

Bit like Stockport for us, it is our only 100 mile plus trip with a direct train and we travel well there, although Transpennine do have a terrible record of cancellations.

Might be being disingenuous to us on that as we took 728 last time on a Tuesday night but never seemed like one we took loads.
